Pravus would feel a sudden 'scrambling' sensation in his head, as if someone were trying to reach for the pieces of a conversation physically. "You have her?!" a sharp voice asked, the excitement and anticipation unmistakable. And the hatred. And bloodlust. And burning, overwhelming desire for vengeance. Those feelings only increased as the feline raced towards the king and touched her with one single outstretched paw before anyone could move to stop him, had they even known what the touch implied.
The avian vanished without a trace, her chain dropping to the floor with a heavy clatter.
Theo's mind would be suddenly clear of the sensation and he would be exactly where he was before, except the child would be on the floor and screaming. "Mama?! Mama! MAMA! Where did you go!!! Mamaaaa!" The last word degenerated into a forlorn wail.
In Pravus's head, a shout of triumph could be heard. Garthen just stood where he was, one paw raised, jaw hanging slightly slack.

Theofilus stared blankly for a moment. He did not want to know what happened. He simply went to comfort the kid. His pink fluff ball was already wrapped around the boy, trying to comfort him.
The sparrow picked the wailing child up. Holding him close once again. He had an answer for the boy, but he was not about to say it aloud. If he spoke to the child directly all he would be able to say was "I'm sorry." But he did not want those words to escape his beak. He had to remain composed. If he did not everything was going to shatter before him.
Theofilus head suddenly jerked in the direction of the German Shepard. "You bastard," The sparrow hissed. There were no kind words left. He was tired, and mentally scarred after this whole ordeal. "If you make one word of protest, dog, I'll make sure the rest of your miserable life is more hellish than it is now. Forget everything that happened here. Understand?"

Pravus, felt the run of emotions run through him. Strangely, they seemed to sap more energy than the pain. The excrutiating pain. He hadn't felt anything like this before and it hurt like hell. He stumbled back, to stand in front of the birds, sword in hand, pointed towards the canine.
It was a weak threat, in the condition he was in. But Pravus, would push himself past his limits if it meant the difference between staying alive and dieing. He knew it before, but now. . .now he had proof. He was honestly capable of going through things he shouldn't be able to and make it, and that's why he would always survive.
"Don't. . . even. . . try." He hissed at the dog. A few more seconds, a few more seconds, that's all it should take to be back in the palace. A few more seconds.
"There is another with Theo, that should be transported." He thought, hoping that Fino would tell Bernard before they were brought back.

Fino stood in front of the cage that held his sister - his beautiful, proud, vicious sister, with her gleaming feathers dull from grime and her shoulders stooped with pain and humiliation - and laughed, harder and louder than he ever thought he would at this moment. Delight... he felt such sheer, utter delight at the success. They had done it. The traitor stood before them. He was so happy. "One more to the teleport, uncle, if you can manage," he said after he'd managed to calm down enough to control his breathing, wiping a small tear from the corner of his eye that had been forced there during his laughter.
Bernard nodded and closed his eyes, concentrating on releasing the seal and snapping the pair of questers back to the palace of Hearts, plus an additional individual close at hand.
The canine didn't make a move beyond pulling himself back a few steps and just staring. He didn't speak, barely even blinked, just stared at them in complete and utter shock as they, too, suddenly disappeared.
The reappeared in a room they wouldn't recognize, the multipurpose magic room just beyond Bernard's study where Talyn was confined within an enchanted barrier. Fino still looked positively gleeful and turned to watch them on arrival. The boy clung to Theo tightly enough that his small claws dug into flesh, likely drawing a bit of blood in his complete terror and incomprehension. His wailing had stopped at the comfort, but his trembling never ceased, especially not when he felt something inside himself twist for the teleport. He didn't move his head, didn't look around, just kept his eyes shut and his head pressed against the feathery shoulder.

Pravus stood, staring down the canine. So very thankful that he'd rather back away then try to fight. A trembling began in his limbs as he fought to stay standing, fought to keep the sword up and ahead of them. Suddenly he felt an odd tug in his middle, the core of his being and an odd sickening feeling roil in his stomach.
And as soon as the feeling started it was gone, and he was standing in what was obviously the palace though not in a room he had ever seen. The tip of the sword slowly came down to clang against the floor and Pravus looked around too slowly until he spotted Fino. There. . that look of glee. . . she truly did transport here. They had finished their goal.
He. . had finished his quest. . . he didn't need to do anything more. At that, the world suddenly fell away from him. Pravus felt as if he'd been tossed into a dark pit and he fell and fell and fell. Free-falling into the darkness. . .
He hit the floor a second later, eyes rolled up into the back of his head, splayed upon the palace floor.

Yet another change of pace. The canine had faded from existence and they had managed to end up in yet another unfamiliar room. The boy was clinging to him, trembling with every breathe. The sparrow did not care about the blood that was slowly oozing from the tiny holes. He did not care about the gleeful look on The Queen of Heart's face.
He was simply amazed that it was all over. The Lowlands were gone, never to be seen by the sparrow's eyes again. He was here now, in the Palace of Hearts clutching a small and broken child. His heart sunk. God. He did not want to think what would happen to the boy. His heart started to ache as the sparrow closed his eyes.
Theofilus let out a pained sigh and hugged the boy a bit tighter. He did not want this to be real. He just wanted it all to be some horrible nightmare. But he was here. It wasn't going to vanish like the feeling he had before.

Fino made eye contact with Pravus as he appeared, but it seemed quite disjointed, the feline's eyes wandering a bit too far... and then he slowly crumpled onto the floor, giving a quite good view of his back and some of the blood matting his fur, where it remained. Well. That would need some fixing. The feline had expressed such a strong interest in watching him as he made his sister's last few days alive some of her most excruciatingly painful, no matter how she'd spent the last ten years.
He looked over at Theo, the conscious one of the two. His eyes quickly caught sight of of the differently colored body held tightly in the sparrow's arms. His expression, so very pleased, suddenly switched yet again. All of this strong emotion was going to give him the world's worst headache, but the was nothing he could do about it right now. He stared, eyes flicking from the child to Talyn, and back to Theo.
"Is that what I think it is?" he inquired softly, eyeing the feathery back of the Highland bird. Just like Talyn had been as a child, minus the bloodstains and trembling. He'd never seen her tremble before.
If the barrier hadn't been soundproof, her sudden incoherent shouts of rage would have filled the room. As it was, only her posture change would really be noticeable to anyone, from slumped and huddled to pounding against a solid, invisible wall.

Theofilus looked at the Queen. He let out another rattled sigh before speaking. "Perhaps," he said weakly. "But you are making blind assumptions." He was hardly trying to be smart. He was simply tired and covered in filth.
The sparrow shifted his weight. The child was still clinging so desperately, and Theofilus was doing the same. He simply did not want to let go of the child. He just wanted to walk out with him. He continued to look at the Queen of Hearts. He was not all that sure what he should do, but he would not let him have this child to do as he will. It was not right. It would night happen. He would rather die first.
Die for a complete stranger? Yes. He would do it for this poor boy, He was determined to do as such. "You're not taking the boy. He's not getting involved in all of this nonsense. For argument's sake I'm his father." He didn't care if The Queen of Hearts had a problem with it or not.

Eyeing them for another moment, Fino suddenly seemed to dismiss them from his thoughts and looked back towards his sister. At her frantic motions, a small smile crept back onto his face, but it wasn't a pleasant thing to see. "Look at her protest... yes. Fine. You can be the nasty little thing's father, for all I care. I'm certainly not related to it. See that you remove it from the premises when you leave, as you're the one who dragged it back here. You can go to your home if you like. It looks like you could use some... ah... personal time."
His nose wrinkled slightly at the smell. "Come back in four days' time to claim your reward. It should be ready by then."
With one more glance towards his sister, he walked over to Pravus and bent over to look more closely at the fallen feline. "Uncle, would you mind locating Temmin?" he asked. They were going to need the medic for this one...
Four days later, Pravus would be slowly on the road to physical recovery and the child would have revealed his name to Theo as Eilwyn. Fino and Bernard were waiting for them in a small sitting room, which Theo would be directed to upon arrival and Pravus would know to find.
