The guards were indeed distracted as a human suddenly flew at them from seemingly out of nowhere, their attention having been focused on the ground scuffle and not the ceiling. The vulture screeched in surprise and darted to the side, away from the blue blur that zipped between the pair of them. His wings flapped in agitation and he brandished the sword held in one leg, only his Heart heritage likely making the move possible. His canine companion was of a similar suit, magic again encouraging proficiency.
A flailing cane smacked into the side of the mastiff and he yelped at the high-speed projectile before snarling like a mad thing and lunging after the bird. A sudden pain blossomed in his head and he screamed, the sound nearly a roar. His rank of Five compared to Pravus's own Ten... so, there was no comparison. The sword dropped and he whined long and loud, unable to act until the stabbing agony receded.
Morton felt his elbow snap, the bones grinding against one another as his thrust was fumbled and the canine rolled away. And yet... he did nothing more than grimace in pain, his resistance ability such that even more-than-moderate amounts of pain could be ignored. It almost threw him into a sort of numbness, his ability, which could be very dangerous or very beneficial depending on the circumstances. On the one hand, he could do himself far more damage while in such a state. On the other, stopping him could prove very, very difficult.
His other hand found what it was looking for and grasped it firmly as he sprung to his feet, free from the feline's weight and blood pouring down his chest like ribbons against his dark fur. He pulled out a stone, the object unremarkable and a flat gray, about the size of his palm. With a snarl, he threw it at the floor behind the feline. It exploded with a flash of light and heat, electricity crackling through the air and jumping along Pravus's fur.

Theofilus was a at a loss for words. Actually he was at a loss for anything at the moment. He was currently human and he was very closed to being stabbed by an angry vulture.
Thankfully Theofilus was too fed up with the entire situation. He was tired of the Lowlands and it's filth. He had yet to find a redeeming soul in the place--and he doubted that he would. Pravus, thankfully, had managed to distract one of the other guards leaving Theo with the vulture.
That damn thing needed a bath. A smirk crossed Theo's face as he concentrated on using the ring's Spade ability. This ring was one of the most useful objects someone could have ever created. The king who created them needed to be sainted. The vulture probably wouldn't appreciate it as much when he to freezing bath in Lakeland water. As two gallons of water cascaded down towards the vulture Theo's attention snapped back to Pravus and his fight.
Lighting! The man had sent lighting at the feline and... oh this couldn't be promising.

Suddenly a sharp sound caught Pravus' attention a second before a searing heat and pain raced up his back. He felt the buzz and crackle of the electricity as his fur and skin was scorched before quickly putting his pain ignoring ability into action. It was enough to take the edge off the major burns so that he could move freely.
The cat spun towards the canine he had hindered with his pain ability and swooped down upon him to grab his sword. Another heart ability came to him then as he suddenly wielded the sword as if he'd been trained. He sneered quickly before bringing the weapon down in a terrifying arc towards the still incapacitated canine, hearing it stick with a satisfying wet noise into the Cards head.
He wrenched it back out, cleaving it from the bone before turning to the avian. "Oi Captain time to leave." Pravus began to go for the door, though waiting to see if the bird would make it safely as well.

Morton panted in rage and lunged towards the feline, moving past the vulture to do so. He's hit with some of the water and jerks in surprise, not feeling it but having it suddenly splashed in his eyes and mouth. He coughed, falling back into the also surprised vulture, and through a freakish coincidence he actually fell onto the vulture's upturned blade, piercing him through part of his side and just catching one of his kidneys. Even that he ignored, jerking forward to move back towards Pravus, feeling nothing between the combination of ability and adrenalin.
He wouldn't be lasting very long like that, however, and was unable to realize the damage he was doing to his body.
The canine went down with a loud scream, and the vulture stared in shock at his employer before moving to lunge after the pair. Hot on their heels were the winged man and the swiftly bleeding weasel. Wouldn't that make a sight, running out into a street full of Lowlanders?

That was a fantastic display of amazing coincidences. The sight that unfolded in front of him was simply shocking. He was just as shocked as the vulture to see the weasel chase after Pravus in a heated rage.
The sparrow still in human form, managing to gather what magic he could, made for the door and used his sprinting speed to pass the feline. In front of the door he directed Pravus' attention to the angry weasel who was obviously not able to fight for much longer. Living would be difficult considering where that sword was--assuming Theofilus' anatomy lessons were correct.
"Think you might want to finish your angry friend, Feline." The sparrow gestured towards the figures as he transformed into his animal form. It was smaller, and frankly, he was not going to go outside in his human form.
Actually it might have been a good idea to finish the other guard off. That way there would not be any complications or witnesses. Tying up lose ends might be a proper thing to do in a place like this. And the receptionist? He was too high and frightened to do anything--and he obviously valued his life more than the weasel and the guards.
"Then again, we may want to tie up lose ends," he forced the door open a bit. Quick escape if they needed it.

Pravus watched the fall of Morton onto the blade with slowly blinking eyes. Why. . . wasn't that just an amusing little treat. He panted laughter through his own pain, swinging the blade around in a circle, as if he had to make sure the balance was the same as before. He liked the feeling of the sword. . . perhaps he would have to garner himself one eventually.
He saw the speed serve the sparrow well again and nodded as the bird zipped by him to the door. His head bobbed in an agreeable nod. Yes. .he would have to finish them off. The manager was too much of a threat and there was no point leaving danger behind to bite them in the back when they weren't looking.
Pravus once again heaved the sword, hoping to injure both parties if not outright kill at least one with the one blow.

The vulture had moved closer to Pravus by dint of not being bleeding from several important parts of his anatomy. Consequently, he was also closest when the feline swung around and dug his blade into the nearest piece of flesh. Namely, the vulture's fleshy neck. It went down as easily as its companion, not expecting such a swift retaliation after a burst of lightning from one of Morton's prized stones.
Two down, one extremely angry and heavily bleeding weasel to go. He reached another hand into his pocket, the one with the broken elbow, completely forgetting about the condition and using it as best he was able, no doubt damaging it further in the process. The bone was broken badly enough from Pravus's spine ability that it was about ready to slip out of place.
Which it did as he yanked it up again, a bit of bone slicing through his furred skin to poke up starkly red and white. At this point, however, his ability failed him and whatever was in his hand fell back into his pocket as he jerked, face lit up with a sudden realization of agony. Things had gone beyond moderate and severe, and were well on their way to 'critical' pain. Perhaps if his rank were higher, the unusually strong ability could have compensated... but not yet.

He sneered, happy as he felt the blade cut into flesh and was pleased as the vulture went down, eyes now sightless. Such a rewarding sight, to watch the awareness slip out from behind somebody's eyes. To see the body become exactly what it is, an empty shell.
Pravus turned but not quick enough as Morton began to reach for something else again. He watched with grim interest as the bone slipped from beneath the flesh and stood in stark relief to the brown colours of the lowlander. And then, as the realization of the pain and damage his body had taken hit Morton, Pravus lunged forwards, aiming the sword down at the weasels neck.
He had only a moment perhaps before the Card was able to react again and he had to use it. To cleave his head from atop his body and put him down for good. He hoped he aim was true.

Theofilus was impressed with the feline's skills with the cleaning up of their situation. As messy as an ordeal as it was, he was not particularly phased by the death of the Lowlanders. If Theofilus ever needed to "dispose" of someone he would keep the Feline's name in mind. Oh, hopefully he would not have to call on the man's help. Heaven only knows what he would want as payment. The sparrow doubted that money would be on the feline's mind after his display of... affection.
Theofilus flung the door open. The receptionist could wait, if he had anything to do with the problem they would solve it later. They would follow that scraggly lion and hopefully find out where their target was. The sooner the job was done, the happier Theofilus would be.
"As quick as you are at killing, Feline, we should depart before someone thinks twice about this bloody mess on the floor." The sparrow took a step to the side, allowing room for Pravus to pass him first. He doubted that the blade would miss its target.
