Just to make sure, notwithstanding the taste in his mouth and the fuzz over his eyes, Ashwin glanced at the window and nodded slowly, wincing a little at the motion. "Yep. 's morning alright." His voice was rough with lingering sleep.
Her voice sounded a little lower with morning depth as well. "What's your name again, miss?" he asked with another yawn, slowly trying to work a kink out of his back and sit up a little. Lakeland sparrow, feathers all over the place, biped... there was something else, though. Something his mind was trying to remember, because he sensed it was important. Wasn't that just the worst feeling, knowing you forgot something you would smack yourself for not remembering later? It had something to do with her, that was all he knew.
Sitting up a little further, he scrubbed his furred hands all over his face and neck, trying to resettle some of the fur from its awkward morning creases.

Ez blushed slightly. He felt a bit guilty. A bit was an understatement, but he wasn't about to admit that. "Well, you see... my name is Ezekiel." He paused, a bit nervous, "I'm not exactly a Miss."
He wasn't sure if it was a good thing or a bad thing to say that. He was pretty sure Ashwin didn't swing in that direction even a little bit. A slight smirk would have crossed his face if he wasn't so nervous about a reaction. He had to tell Ceren about this, she would probably appreciate it to some degree. Zane would just shake his head. Ah. Yes. Dad was going to kill him if he ever found out. If. Thankfully this would probably stay a secret.
He grinned nervously as he remained slightly under the covers. His feathers were a mess, and he still hadn't spotted his corset. Apparently the night was rougher than he remembered--or something. The Lakeland sparrow certainly wished he could remember what happened.

Ashwin's hands stopped their tired scrubbing motion as he stilled in surprise.
Yes. That had been what he was trying to remember. There had been male parts hidden away beneath all those feathers. At the time, he really hadn't cared, being far too drunk and horny to do anything other than screw the pretty thing senseless. Damn he'd been drunk. Ezekiel. He really hadn't guessed. This was now one of three mornings in his life he'd woken up in this embarrassing situation.
The first time had been... dramatic. He had been a lot more dramatic when he was younger. The second time was embarrassing as hell, but a lot better than the first. Now? He wasn't exactly peachy-keen about the situation. But he could live with it.
He let out a long, drawn-out sigh and sat up all the way, ignoring his head for the moment. "Well. Ezekiel. Ehm. Do you... want... breakfast?"

Ez let out a sigh of relief. That was a much better reaction than he had expected. Most men didn't take it that well. This was a thankful moment. Very thankful. And an offer of breakfast? Well, it had been a long time since that happened, Ez usually ended up making breakfast.
"That would be wonderful, but... er... do you mind make me breakfast...?" He sat up slowly and looked at the man. Somehow, this was a bit embarrassing for even Ez. Somehow the prospect of having breakfast with someone after drunken sex just didn't seem normal. Unless you were both drunk at the time. Ez had been quite sober. Hopefully Ashwin wouldn't think of that.
The sparrow looked around briefly and spotted his corset on the opposite side of the room. Wow, he didn't remember it going that far. It was another one of those embarrassing moments, ugh. He blushed slightly under his feathers. "I'm sorry," he muttered.
This was the first time he had ever apologized to someone he had sex with. Hopefully he wouldn't repeat this.

Ashwin wasn't quite willing to make eye contact, mind fuzzily wrapping around the concept that the pretty, enthusiastic thing he'd slept with had been a young man. No wonder he wore that corset when he went to pick up guys at bars. It didn't help that he was pretty for a guy, but not in the least sexually appealing now that he was sober and could see the differences. Dammit. This would have been such a pleasant morning if 'Ez' did not stand for 'Ezekiel'. Well, maybe not pleasant with a hangover, but at least less terribly awkward.
"Eh, I make breakfast for everyone else." He coughed a little and rubbed the back of his neck, partly in embarrassment and partly because of a nasty crick. "Don't often entertain men. If ever. Eggs and toast work for you?"
He flipped back the covers and stood slowly, cursing his head. He didn't know whether Ez normally trolled bars for drunk guys or whether they were both out for a drunken lark, but it didn't really matter at this point. At least he seemed slightly mollified about the whole thing.

"Yes, that's just fine." Ez said trying to bat away the air of awkwardness. At least Ashwin went out to look for women. That was a slight comfort. The bird let out a sigh. Really, this was more stressful than he thought it would be.
Well at least he had fun. And after all this awkward morning-ness was over and done with he could strut off back to the apartment. Though, he couldn't imagine his bander or his roommate would be thrilled. They usually got upset when he stayed out without telling them. Heh. Oh well, when he explained this at least his roommate would understand.
"Um... Thank you. Thank you very much." It seemed like the right thing to say. It was honestly the only thing the sparrow could come up with, even with all his diamond charm. Zane would have cracked up. It was rare that Ez didn't know what to say or do.

The pine martin paused by the door for a minute, trying to think up something more coherent to say than what was currently running through his head, and then just shrugged. No helping it. "Shit happens," he said with a tired grimace. "At least you were a better lay than the other two. Feel free to use the shower." And with that, he slipped out the door to deal with hungry banders and breakfast and maybe some tomato juice to try and start working through the hangover.
Treasach would make sure his person knew how Very Displeased he was that breakfast had been delayed from a night of hard drinking. He always did, the vindictive little bastard. A nip and a bite and a chomp for his troubles, and the bander was eating happily while the toast burned and the others stared at him from their pens with hungry eyes. He would almost swear that in the mornings, if he didn't have them in pens, they might just eat him and be done with it.
Oh well. Time to tend to his guest before he politely nudged the boy out the door.
((End.))
