He would have blushed at the Big Bad Wolf comment if it were possible. The look on is face was good enough to display is complete and utter embarrassment. The lick on his cheek added to his embarrassment, which he wasn't about to voice.
"Good," he said to her other comment as lightly glomped him. He still have a surprised yip though, since he was hardly used to this touching thing yet. He somehow managed to shift and give Femi a proper hug. Carefully as he could he gave her a kiss on the head. "One day I will be able to hug you properly, and kiss you too."
And hopefully more, but that was far too embarrassing to say out loud. Kazifel still couldn't understand why he was thinking about something like that. He had to stop that, at least for now. He should be focusing on the fabric swatches... but Femi certainly felt nicer than them.

Femi pet his hair, held comfortably in his arms and watching his pretty eyes. "And maybe one day I'll get a human form, just for you, so we can match better. I'd like to be shorter than you, I think, and not have to hunch over to fit beneath your chin. Then I'd be able to kiss you properly, too." She smiled, eyes closing happily, without a clue as to what he was thinking. It was awkward 'kissing' with a squirrel's muzzle, something she'd learned young when handling her dolls.
She'd never really had ambitions towards a human form before. Sure, it would make her magic more potent... but at the same time, she didn't need more power. If it was going to help her get even closer to her Kazifel, though, that was a completely different story.
Settling against him more comfortably, she made a happy sighing noise. "I suppose it wouldn't be so bad visiting your old house. Then we could come back home and you'd have nowhere else but here that you'd rather be." So she dearly hoped.

A human form for Femi? He couldn't imagine how wonderful that way, and if he got back to sewing? He would be able to to make a dress for her when he was back in practice. Kazifel made a satisfied sound as she settled up against him.
"Right. Once everything would be tied up there I could be home forever. And happy forever." He added without realizing. It was what he wanted, and Femi had turned out to be everything he ever needed or wanted. She was everything that he had dreamed for. Love was all he had ever wanted and had never really gotten from the people he cared about.
He sighed. Okay, this was getting a bit too contemplative. He needed to talk more or something. "It wouldn't be for a while though. I don't think I could take trip like that for a long while after what... happened int he Highlands."

Femi held him tightly. "We don't have to ever go anywhere if you don't want to, my love. Whenever you're ready, we can go and visit your old house. You just tell me. Until then, we're staying firmly in the Wood and not going anywhere but to see the seamstress, and Vren, and whoever else we need to see. In the Wood." If it would make him happy forever to see his old house and return, she would do anything in her power to make it happen. In effect, going with him.
"Now that you're starting to get feeling... I wonder if it's possible for you to get taste back. Or smell. Oh! Speaking of, don't forget your paint." She lightly prodded his nose. At the same time, her stomach made a forlorn growling howling rumbling noise, which she subconsciously ignored. It wasn't like she didn't often ignore it when it howled. She wasn't skinny as a rail for nothing.

"I can go without my paint for up to a week." He looked at her with concern. The sound of her stomach didn't sound very good. "You however. I think you should probably have something to eat." The concern stayed on his face as her stomach continued to protest.
If he knew how to cook he would have. However, Kazifel was completely inept when it came to kitchen work. No one in his family could cook, not even his parents at any point in time. They always had someone else do it for them. And generally anything that had to do with fire was avoided completely.
The man would have sighed if it were possible. Other senses? They seemed a long way off. He could wait for them though. And now that he had Femi and touch he didn't have to hurry. It was nice to be able to relax to some degree. Kazifel still had the concerned look on his face, even though he was thinking of something else entirely.

"Just because you can go without doesn't mean you shouldn't refresh that time limit whenever you have the opportunity," Femi told him with a tilt of her head. Then her stomach cramped painfully and she winced a little.
She didn't want to have to go to the next village over for food... supplies were annoying! She was completely out of everything but the chestnuts falling off the trees outside, however, which was why she'd visited her parents for money two days ago and eaten a large, lavish meal there. The meal's effectiveness was just about up, however, and she knew she'd have to put something else in there soon or she'd start getting dizzy. "I wish I didn't have to eat like you," she admitted with a sigh, then gave herself a little shake
It was only a tiny bit after midday at the moment. "If we leave now and really hurry, we might be able to go there and back before it gets dark," she said, biting her lip a little as she thought. "I'm not sure it's a good idea to chance it, though. Easier just to eat the nuts outside until tomorrow morning."

Kazifel really couldn't argue with Femi on any accounts. She was right and he should probably sniff the paint more often. Then again, she should probably eat more often with the way her stomach was protesting. "I think you're lucky to be able to eat," he muttered as he set down the piece of fabric he had been holding.
"If it's a bad idea to leave now, then we'll just go tomorrow morning. And we'll have no excuses not to go tomorrow morning." He shrugged. If she could deal with just having nuts for now, then that was good enough for him. Kazifel had no desire to get lost or put Femi in any sort of danger. If it was a bad idea to leave now, then it was a bad idea. He couldn't argue, since Femi did know the area better than he did. It would take a while for him to get used to this new home. Home. It was now one of the greatest words he could have have learned.

"We can go nice and early tomorrow morning," Femi agreed with a small sigh. Hopefully the weird little breeze would die down by then and it would be crisp but still with the promise of late-autumn snow. She did hope that it snowed early this year. For all that it made baths rarer, it was just so pretty...
Her stomach growled again and she hit it with a pout. "I'd better go get some nuts," she murmured, then regretfully moved away from him and all of the colorful swatches strewn across the bed. "I'll be right back though." A kiss to the nose and she hopped off, wanting to get the chore of eating done and over with as soon as possible. The nuts would be better roasted... but did she have time to roast them? The inclination?
...the thought of warm food actually tempted her more than she expected. With a thoughtful noise, she snatched up a quick double-handful of nuts and went in to light the old stove. Chestnuts came out of the shell so nicely when warmed.

That matter was settled quite nicely with a kiss, wasn't it? Kazifel grinned to himself as he gathered up the fabric squares. He was pretty sure he knew what was what now. He hummed a bit as he stacked them and wander back to the storage room.
On his way back he was curious enough to stop by the kitchen where Femi was. "What--" he started before noticing that there were flames in the general direction of his sight. No, he wasn't going to deal with that. The man backed out of the room and simply walked in the opposite direction. No. He still didn't like fire and he wasn't going to go anywhere near it. Wood plus flame plus him did not equal success.
That was an amazingly good excuse for not cooking. Fire. He would get over it eventually... maybe. Fire was still horrible even if he wasn't made of wood. He shuddered slightly as he sat back down on the bed.
