Rogers rolled his eyes and almost bullied Theo up the street, making that little 'adat' noise whenever he started to protest or complain. His tail was wagging the whole time. Really, he was more amused than anything. Well, maybe frustrated edged near the top of the list. At one point he shook his head and sighed melodramatically. "You're being such a baby about it all. I mean really, how often do you get out? Everybody needs to unwind at one point or another. Besides, I promise there are girls there too..."The last was said with another sigh and eye roll. The more he played it up, the more likely Theo was to go along with him, grumbling or not. The man needed to let off some steam. And really, did he think the German Shepherd was bad enough to take him to a bar with only male strippers? He wasn't that thoughtless and insensitive. "Right, so here we are. I've got the cover charge since it's my treat. I don't come to this one as often so it's not like I'm a 'regular' or anything." He gave a nod to the bouncer as they went in and steered the sparrow towards the bar, ordering drinks for both of them. It wasn't as if he didn't know what the man liked after all this time.

Theofilus was disappointed what whining didn't work. He didn't expect it to work but he could always hope. It was frustrating that he couldn't even voice his complaints when Rogers cut him off. He ultimately gave up and went along with his plan. It was nice of him to pay the cover charge. Theofilus had never been to this club before and he didn't have the slightest how much he would have to pay to get in. Rogers paying the cover charge would stop the sparrow from complaining at least. The didn't protest when he was lead to the bar either. He eyed Rogers for a moment and tilted his head questioningly, "How do you always manage to win when it comes to convincing me in doing things I don't want to do?"Theofilus, of course, didn't need or want to know the answer to the question. He simply through it out there as he glanced around the club. There were quite a few people and... wow. That stripper looked exactly like Dr. Rosewood. Wait a minute. "That's Rosewood up there, isn't it? My therapist is a stripper." Theofilus's voice was somewhere between shock and amusement. He wasn't quite sure what to think about that.

Rogers grabbed the pair of drinks and slid them both over, taking one and getting in a good sip, froth clinging stubbornly to his muzzle. He spent a minute licking it away, only to take another sip and have it back. Ah well. He didn't bother to answer Theo's question, either. If the sparrow didn't know, he certainly wasn't going to give away his secret: persistence. If you pestered someone about something long enough, there was a decent chance they would give in just to stop you from saying anything else. Of course, his methods of 'pestering' had vastly improved since he was five, to the point where he preferred to just call it 'persistence' now.
"Mmm, what's that?" he asked curiously, turning his head to see where Theo was looking. The name 'Rosewood' certainly rang a bell. That was the Tulgey swan whose office he'd dragged Theo into a few months back, wasn't it?
His eyes landed on a pale white form up on one of the stages, brilliantly white in the low lighting of the club, slowly and deliberately taking his time unbuttoning something dark and sexy and possibly leather on his torso. Absently, one part of his brain wondered how long it would take someone to figure out how to be sexy unbuttoning clothes with wings attached to their arms. The rest of his brain had just flitted off elsewhere.
Hot damn. He didn't even bother to look at Theo as he responded. "Oh wow. Yeah. Looks like your therapist's a stripper, boss." His tail thumped against his chair once or twice as he watched, attention wholly diverted.

Theofilus couldn't help but snicker. Rogers probably wouldn't notice if he left right now. Of course, the sparrow wasn't about to leave when he could enjoy himself now that he was in the club. "How about, you go over there Rogers. You'll probably be able to see the show better if you're closer anyway. I'll be over on the other side of the bar enjoying the women." The sparrow waved a hand before taking his drink and wandering off. Theofilus wasn't sure if Rogers even heard him. Oh well. It's not like this place was a huge place. Rosewood, meanwhile, was doing his best to avoid eye contact of all of the patrons. He didn't want anything weird to happen. However, the swan caught something familiar in his peripheral vision. Was that one of his clients? And who was that man with him? The swan realized that he had almost stopped in mid-act, and that he may have actually caught eye contact with the sparrow's companion. Hell this was not his night. Finish up quickly and no one will notice.

Rogers heard Theo, sort of, and got the gist of what he'd suggested. "That sounds like a pretty good idea. Have fun with the ladies." At the same time, he slid off of his stool and debated moving nearer to the swan for a better view. Just as he was wondering if it was a good idea, he caught a flash of pale pink eyes and his stomach twisted a little bit. Wow, what a gaze. Those eyes just screamed 'take me home with you'. At least, that's how the canine chose to take it.
Just as quick as it came, it was gone, and he grinned a little before moving closer to the stage. How long before the swan got off work, he wondered? He had to try. He really did. What a gorgeous man. Feathers were very much the German Shepherd's "thing", yet another reason why he lamented Theo's preferences. Ah well. He didn't have to think about that right now.

Rosewood wasn't pleased with his act. He hasted his stripping not that many patrons seemed to notice. It was a good thing, since he wanted to get off stage before anything happened with that man he seemed to catch eye contact with. Bother.
The swan took a quick spin on the pole before making his dramatic exit. He shook his head in dismay when he made it back stage and waved at the other stripper to take his turn. The swan still had to go out on the floor until his shift was over. Damn. This wasn't making his screw up easy was it. The swan slipped on a vest and a pair of rip-away pants on. With a slightly reluctant sigh he slipped through the door and made his way to the tables.
The canine he had caught eye contact was there. Maybe he should try to do something to fix it? Or maybe he should just use it to pick up a few tips. Rosewood slid over to the patron with a smile on his beak, he did his best to avoid eye contact for the time being. "Is there anything I can help you with, sir?"
What an interestingly bright man. He had to be a mix realm, didn't he? He certainly had a lovely choice in clothing. Was this that Rogers person that his client and secretary had mentioned once or twice?

Rogers couldn't fight his disappointment when the swan exited the stage with a bit of feathery flare, disappearing into the 'back' of the establishment and probably off-shift. Dammit. With an flourish like that, he was probably gone for the night. Still, what a gorgeous man. No wonder he was a stripper, even with a supposedly full-time job as a therapist. Brains and beauty. He remembered being impressed by the combination when he had initially dragged Theo in for his first appointment, the one and only time he had seen Rosewood before now.
But no! There he was coming out of the back. The Shepherd straightened a little from his slouch against the nearby wall, not even bothering to conceal the small wag of his tail. Maybe there was still hope, then.
And he was heading Rogers' way, which was even better. There was no one else directly near him, which meant that no one else would be receiving his attention over here. He grinned a little. "Well, I've got to admit, you helped my mood loads just by walking over here and saying two words to me. My name's Rogers, and I think I met you once before when I dragged a friend of mine into your other... place of employment? Funnily enough, I dragged him here, too. It's good to meet you again." He offered his hand, too used to the gesture not to, no matter how odd the circumstances. Maybe the swan would be willing to meet his eyes again?

He was offering his hand in a strip club? Adorable and formal. What a fantastic combination. The swan took the man's hand, still avoiding eye contact by closing his eyes. "It's a pleasure to meet you again, Rogers, even if the circumstances are odd."
The swan wasn't quite sure what to do in this situation. Nothing like this had ever happened to him before. His two jobs had never crossed before, and he never expected them to. Well, he could ask Rogers if he wanted to talk in private. Technically it wasn't against the rules even if Rosewood wasn't using it for the usual tips.
Oh screw it. Rosewood opened his eyes and looked at the man briefly before taking his hand. "Would you like to have a private "conversation" with me that would make you feel even better? That or can I at least have your drink refilled?"

The other man's grip was firmer than Rogers had expected and he felt a little ripple of fur down his spine. It was a nice kind of ripple, to be sure. He wasn't very used to getting attention like this, not at all. Hell, it had been nearly three months since he had even bothered to go out and find someone to liven up the night. The rest of the time it was a pretty lonely party. He was sick and tired of it.
His ears visibly perked, first at the look and then at the suggestion. His drink. Ahaha. He could drink any time. The drink was the last thing on his mind, especially after the first offer. That was a downright forward flirt, and far be it from him to shy away.
"Well, I'm certainly not one to ignore an offer like that. And really, a 'conversation' with you? I'm sure you've got loads to talk about." He couldn't stop his tail from thumping a few times against the wall before he discreetly shifted closer, stopping the noise and also putting him conveniently nearer to the swan. The downright gorgeous swan. Were those rip-away pants? Oh boy. Had he still been by the wall, his tail would have gotten louder.

Rosewood couldn't help but chuckle. This was going faster and better than he had ever expected. "Well then," The swan pulled the canine a bit closer, "Follow me to the back and we can exchange a few words and perhaps a few other things if you're interested."
There was no point in not making eye contact now. He had already taken up on the offer. The swan might as well go with it. Though it did make the swan wonder. Usually the good ones were already taken, and Rogers was certainly good in many aspects. Once they got to the back room he might have to play a bit of twenty questions before anything actually happened. He didn't want to go after a taken man or anything.
"I do enjoy making days brighter," he smiled. Please, oh please let this one be not taken. It honestly seemed too good to be true.
