Zeev knew that he should decline the generous offer that his stranger female was offering him but he found that his mind could not focus on the topic for very long. In truth it seemed that he could not really focus on much of anything. The world also felt off tilter just the slightest bit. It made him start to wonder if perhaps all of the blood loss was finally getting the better of him.
"Tha' it mighty fine of ye to be thinkin' of me in such a way. However! It should be me tha' be guarding ye." It took him a long moment to realize that his accent was starting to break through some. That was really odd. It only ever did that when he was drunk, a state which he definitely was not currently in.
Giving his head a soft shake as if clear it he peered more closely at the female in front of him. "What do you do with yerself?" He asked, meaning to ask what job it was that the odd canine did day to day.

"I make things, mostly," he said, cheerfully. This was an area of conversation about which he could speak very easily. He was buoyed further by the fact that Zeev did not seem to find staying here for a while too objectionable, even if he seemed to have some funny ideas regarding the "guarding" of things. The thought of having constant company again was by the far the highlight of the day.
"I like to create things for other people. Clothes are my favorite, but sometimes I do dolls and other arts and crafts. I can sell them pretty well to shops and stuff. It doesn't make a lot of money, but I've got a nice place to live and can spring for a sticky bun for breakfast whenever I feel like it, so that's a pretty good living, I think. I don't get to cook for people very often, but I like to do that too. And how about you?"
For some reason he had a mental image of Zeev doing something very dangerous and adventurous, like recovering ancient artifacts from evil legions or running epiditions in the Tulgey Wood. Perhaps he had inadvertently put a bit of booze into his own tea as well.

(( Bee, I love you XDDDDD ))
Well that seemed like a job that was well suited for a female to do. "So you are a . . . dressmaker of sorts?" He asked the pause coming when he had to search for the word he wanted for a moment.
At the question being returned to him he gave another pause. For a moment he was tempted to actually answer the canine with what he had been doing before he had been required to leave but his sense of pride had him keeping the information under lock and key.
"I am currently, between jobs." He offered up. "It is a nice place ye got here." He complimented, glancing around before his gaze fell solely on the female. The quick change of topic was in hopes that he could distract the canine enough that he would not question the reason for his lack of job.

The non-answer and abrupt subject change were not lost on Iphis, but he decided not to press the matter. If he didn't want to talk about it now--well, he had the entire near future to look forward to to tease it out of him. It wasn't like he couldn't exercise patience. He didn't quite want to small-talk about the apartment, though, and settled for moving over to his new--room-mate, he supposed?--to pour him some more tea and discuss living arrangements more concretely.
"So the apartment kind of doubles as my workplace--the other room is just a teeny-weeny bit stuffed with supplies and projects so I don't, um, recommend going in there unless you fancy death by tulle--so I'm home a lot of the time. You're more than welcome to take over a corner or the living room or something if you need more personal space."

The fact that it pretty much seem decided that he would now be living here did not completely register on a level in which the wolf could argue over it. Perhaps when he woke up the next morning it would occur to him to protest.
Glancing around he took in the piles that seemed to cover the otherwise tidy apartment. One could definitely not use the word pigsty for the way the apartment looked, rather it was indeed organized piles though some seemed a little stranger in contest than others.
The couch he had been sitting on looked awfully comfy. Perhaps he could pass out there? Turning his full attention back to the female he was contemplating more than just simple sleeping arrangements. He was slightly caught off guard to realize just how close she was standing to him.
Giving into impulses he reached out and wrapped a leg around the female's waist, drawing her nearer to him. "And where is it, if you do not mind me asking, that you sleep? He gave the canine an innocent smile, his eyes twinkling with something more.

This was a strange, unexpected and handsy turn of events. Under normal circumstances, this sort of thing might have elicited an immediate response of “Perv!” followed by some manner of scrambling or tossing of objects, but being a little bit tipsy tended to make some people a little bit more friendly, and he was the one who had added a bit of whiskey to Zeev’s tea, after all. Iphis could cope with friendliness.
“I have my own little room over there,” he said, pointing. It was a very pleasant room, too. Clara and friends all had their own little arrangements, the colors were bright and happy, and it gave all outward appearances of being inhabited by a somewhat advanced eight-year-old girl. The general pronouncement by all who had glimpsed it was that it was simultaneously disturbing and rather appropriate. “I have lots of spare bedding, so I can make you a nice little arrangement on the couch. You don’t mind pink, do you?”

Looking over toward where the female had pointed he titled his head to the side in consideration though no real thoughts were crossing his mind. Her comment however got a quick response. Zeev was mortified at the prospect of sleeping on pink bedding. Whoever it was who had decided that all females should like the color pink deserved to be put to a torturous death.
Giving a pout and puppy eyes to the female he still had his arm wrapped around, he whimpered, "You would make a poor, lonely, hurt soul like me sleep all alone on the couch?"
Of course he was enough of a gentleman to not only expect such a thing but to demand it - sleeping on the couch that was is. After all, that was what was proper and while he might find the female a little on the attractive side for all her strangeness, he barely knew her.

Zeev was making terribly sad eyes at him (very nice eyes, he thought idly, especially when they are all pleading like that; everything else was very nice too, actually), and for a moment Iphis was almost tempted to say that sure, there was room enough in his bed for two, but then his better impulses got a hold of him (as his bothersome better impulses were wont to do, in all the worst moments) and he gave a small laugh.
"I'm afraid so," he said. He put an arm around Zeev's shoulders and leaned against him, smiling. His personal philosophy was that hugs were harmless and good for everyone. The world would be an exceedingly happy place if everyone got a hug and nice dress. "But since you're so very hurt and lonely, I would be more than happy to stay up for a while and keep you company."

When the pretty lady leaned in to give to him a hug the wolf could not resist neither the temptation nor the perfect chance and leaned in, giving the female a lick to her cheek. "Since you so kindly neglected me to the couch," something he was not truly upset or put out about, "you can at least allow me that small favor." He gave her a grin, his tongue hanging out the side of his mouth cutely.
Pulling himself away from her he got out of his seat. "The least I can do to repay you is to help around here. If there is anything that I can do for you, please let me know" He gave her a wink. "How about you show me to where the extra bedding is and I will help you set the makeshift bed-couch."

Well, he wasn't going to turn down an offer of help, even if there generally wasn't much to do around the apartment. "Dishes would be nice, I guess. And you can keep an eye out for the pins I use when making clothes. Sometimes they like to migrate and lodge themselves in far-off locales in the house and surprise walking or sitting guests. I'm pretty sure the couch is pin-free a the moment, though. I did my weekly round-up yesterday."
The least girly option out of his collection of blankets was a bright, happy sunshine yellow (piled amongst the pale pink and delicate lavender), and that was what he ended up hauling out for Zeev, and together they fixed it up. The couch would make a perfectly serviceable bed, and actually looked quite inviting when it was made up.
"Have a good sleep," he said.
