He glanced around the apartment warily at the mention of attack needles. That was something that did not sound much fun to be sneaked upon by. Making a mental note to never trust a seemingly needle-free spot without checking it he replied, "I will stick with washing dishes." That sounded simple enough.

Helping the canine pull out the bedding that was currently designated as his, cringing internally as he saw the other choices, he did not complain about the shade of yellow. Taking one side of the couch and allowing her to finish the other they had the couch prepared for sleep in no time.

All of the events since that day were finally catching up with him, exhaustion hitting him in one big wave. "I thank you for all your kindness." He gave a deep courtly bow, his nose almost brushing the floor. "Since it does not offend you, I will take my rest now. I will see you in the morning?" The last part was only made a question by soft lit of tone at the end.

Burrowing under the covers, he allowed the warmth to seek in, the comfortable feel of not having a rough, harsh bed or stone, unforgiving ground beneath him. This was something he could get used to.

Iphis responded in the affirmative and added a happy hopeful note of doing something fun with the day, if he felt refreshed enough ("Eating danishes and feeding ducks and marveling at fireflies and stuff; all very relaxing.")

After his new--and curiously polite; he was probably the most curteous person he had met in a very long time, and the thought was a very nice one--guest was tucked securely into bed (he looked rather cute, swaddled in blankets and at ease; it would be nice to see him like that more often), he set about tidying up the meal mess and then settling down to work on a new hat until he fell asleep.

So, he had gotten all of his shopping done, made a new friend, and had come out of the whole thing with a bonus livingmate. It had been a pretty good day, all in all.
