Aislinn was determined to find a job in this place, she hoped they had not filled all of the positions. She had heard somewhat of this warren but paid no mind as every situation had the potential to be different. She was a Corvie leveret so her curiosity tended to get her in trouble thus the reason she had to leave from her last warren. She had tried to experiment on several female leverets eyes, to improve them so as to make them more efficient at their job... problem was, they didn't seem to appreciate it. She finally got up the courage to go up to the door and knock hoping someone was home. She knocked on the door and waited for someone to answer it. She really hoped this was the right place. It would be a bad first impression in the warren to not have done her homework.

Shashi perked at the knock on the door. He had been enjoying his job at this warren. He even got a chance to organize things when Master Remmington let him. Hopefully the Jack would be distracted by all his Does enough that he wouldn't hit on him for a while yet. This was a really nicely run place! Right door. The rabbit hopped down the hall quickly. He opened the door slowly. Oh it was another Leveret. And a Corvie. The Esterberry gave a small smirk as he tilted his head to look at the Leveret in front of him. Probably did something stupid to get kicked out of her (what respectable male leveret or not was pink?) warren. No other explanation besides that. "How may I help you?" Shashi said with a wicked grin. He felt like making someone feel small. He hadn't done that to any of the leverets here because they were nice and had more worth that a Corvistowneian ever could.

Just as she was about to give up, the door opened revealing an Esterberry rabbit. Hmm. Well alright Aislinn, don't make the same mistake as before... be normal for once. She took this leveret in for a moment... now noticing his eyes... oh my, I could do things for them. I could make them 10x what they are if he would let me... no. bad Aislinn, this is not what you're here for. Besides... he was smirking at me, maybe he feels he's better than me. We'll show him! she snerked.
"Well, I was looking for a job in your warren if you knew of anything. A friend told me this was the place to go to ask. " Aislinn said confidently. She was not about to let another leveret talk to her in a manner she did not like. Though it really was immaterial because all she was focusing on was... those eyes.

"I know more than you can comprehend," Shashi said with a polite smile. This female was obviously an idiot. If she couldn't even start a conversation with a proper introduction maybe he shouldn't waste Master Remmington's time. After all, Master Remmington was a damn amazing Jack and deserved to have amazing servants to boot. And she was a Corvie. Why waste time with that?
"You want a job from my master? Well without a proper introduction I don't know if you're even worth his time or my time for that matter. If you give me your name I might reconsider. If you want a job you need to have a name." Shashi's ears twitched as he remained firmly placed in the doorway. If she decided to play smart or dumb he was more than ready to throw out his Esterberry pride. "Do you even know the name of my Master? Have you come that grossly unprepared?"

Well, this certainly was going to be annoying; a name? ah yes, she was used to not having one... just being called "hey you" or "COME HERE"... but he had given her one before she left. As he berated and belittled her one day, eh called her Aislinn.
"I am sure; I am not implying you do not. A name? Yes, I am sorry; I'm not used to having one yet. My name is Aislinn." She shuddered at having to say it but it was the only name she had.
"Of course I know who lives here, an idiot would not and I can assure you I am no idiot" She sighed.
"I left my warren for fear of my Jack and heard from a friend that the Jack, Remmington may need for another leveret to work here. I do not play games now if you will, I would just like to know if what I have heard is true." She hoped this conversation was going somewhere, it was annoying enough to have to explain why she was there and a bit painful too.

That was rich. She thought she was smarter than him then? Well he was going to prove her wrong rather fantastically. Oh it was a spectacular event. Enough that he actually chuckled out loud.
"I didn't ask for you life story, Aislinn, I asked if you knew what warren you were at. You should be educated enough to know that a Jack may not care about a name, but another Leveret does. Now, if you're not willing to play games you're not much of a rabbit--or resourceful at that. I would give you a proper lecture but you're not worth wasting my intellect on." His smirk grew wider as he looked the Corvie directly in the eyes. She was trying so hard to be better than him but she would never be able to do it. Who would even want the girl for a Doe if she was this annoying. No wonder she had to leave her previous employer. He just had to leave because he was sexy.
"My Master is always looking for loyal and intelligent servants. However I'm not going to waste his time if you can't even prove yourself to me. Then I would be punished for being careless!" He raised a paw up for emphasis. "Now why on earth do you want a job at this particular warren? Are you qualified for working here? What can you even do?"
Besides being a stupid git that is.

Aislinn hadn't expected to be received well but she had hoped for at the least civility. "You wanted to know why I was here and I told you is all. I do know where I am and have given you my name, I am not sure what else I could tell you other than I care for children. I do not play games because I find them to be a waste of time and the people who play them petty. I myself am plenty resourceful or I would not find myself alive."
This Leveret was trying so hard to appear better than her, but she wasn't biting. She didn't understand why someone with such a superior attitude was let into a warren as their leveret.
"Being that you are a leveret and in the eyes of Does and all Jacks, we are equal I don't see why you are bothering to prove you are better than me when you simply aren't. I am from Corvistowne so my intelligence or capability should not even come into question. I took care of the little ones in Corvistowne and was the more capable of the other leverets to do so. I came here to offer my service to the one in charge and that is all. I do not personally care if you like me or how you feel. at all."

She was using her region as a defense? Oh that was rich. RICH. And she was talking about equality and all that bullshit. Ha well, he didn't give a wit about that if she couldn't even speak to him in a proper and polite tone.
"I'm an Esterberry and I'm smarter than you. So you can choke on that for a while." Shashi said with a polite smile. He was smarter than her, he had no doubt about that, and it wasn't below him to let someone know this. She wasn't good enough to know his name. She never would be. "You're obviously of a lower intelligence if you're using your region as a defense against an Esterberry. And if you can't play games then you're losing quite smashingly at this little game of life, and getting a job for that matter."
He had half a mind to slam the door in her face, but he wasn't that mean. Well, he was but he was going to string her along for as much as possible.
"Child care. We're in need of some such services, however... I wouldn't let you touch the dears unless you proved that you had some form of intelligence other than basic survival instincts. What on earth makes you think a Corvie can best an Esterberry? If you answer the question well enough I suppose I'll have to let Master Remmington see you." He smirked. She could never answer the question without offending him or showing off her pride.

Oh my, this was a cocky one; as cocky as a leveret could be that is. "Lower intelligence? I'm not the one so petty as to keep another from getting a job just to try and prove a point. You yourself having been using my region as an insult and that is pretty close to worse than just showing the tiniest bit of pride in one's region" she smiled.
"And as for what I choose to do, that is none of your concern; i'm losing at a game I choose not to play? Oh no, anything but that. If you were so much better and more intelligent, you would know it was common courtesy to at least let someone inside and have a civil quibble than whine through a doorway like a two year old. And why should I bicker with you anyway, I have no good reason for it so unless you're having some kind of weird fun, your words have no weight to them." she was getting bored with this leveret quickly; if he wanted to prove to be an annoying twit, he certainly did the job.
"I don't care if you're some snarky Esterberry, your region means diddle to me and since I chose to leave Corvistowne in the first place it should show that it means little to me or I would have stayed there. I simply came here to offer my experience with children as it is extensive." If that offended him so be it, but she really didn't have to explain herself to him anyway;

Shashi laughed. Oh wow this one was stupid. So very stupid. "I'm not going to waste my precious time on your little brain. You couldn't even comprehend what I'm thinking right now so I'll spare you the humiliation of the insults."
Nothing was about to pop Shashi's ego. Especially a Corvie girl who probably couldn't even comprehend proper physics. No, he wasn't going to waste his precious time on introductions and half-ass witty banter that she couldn't even pull off. He was going to let Remmington deal with her. He could throw her out or kill her whenever he wanted to. Plus he just needed to initial see her and then maybe Shashi would bring her to the proper Leveret in charge.
Or maybe Somhan could deal with her? He was nicer than Shashi on a regular basis but he was always busy in the kitchen wasn't he? Bother.
"If you're bright enough follow me. I'll show you to the Master, and if he approves of your idiocy I won't complain in front of him." He snorted. Shashi would just belittle her ever chance he got. Without another word he led her down the hall and to the proper place where his Master was working. He knocked on the door lightly.
