This leveret thought he was clever and had bested her it seemed but Aislinn was just tired of the bickering, it was getting nowhere so she was glad when the leveret decided to bring her to his master. She was about to just leave and find another warren but she wasn't sure how long that would take or how far she had to travel. She couldn't take the chance that her previous Jack would get wise and come looking for her, she had really done a number on a few of the others including her Jack. Oops.
" Thank you" she muttered as she walked through the door. They went down the hall wordlessly to a door that she assumed led to the Jack. It was probably for the best though since they hadn't gotten off to a good start. Aislinn suddenly felt nervous waiting for him to answer, she hoped she could keep her mouth closed and her wits about her.

The Jack sat behind his desk, mumbling to himself. In his hand he gripped the recent report that had been delivered to him. Currently it was two figures short of what it was suppose to be. Honestly, how was he suppose to successfully run a Burrow if he could not depend on other Rabbits to do their job.
He was just debating about going to find one of his Does and relive some stress when he heard the soft knock on the door. He was ready to curse the next person who bothered him. There were very few, if any, who would dare to enter his study.
Taking a deep breath he made sure that his face showed no emotion. Blowing up at pointless victims would not do him any good. When he was calm enough he called out, "Come in" This visit better be worth his time.

She was very nervous now and felt that it almost showed, she hoped she was just being silly. Aislinn heard the call to enter from inside so she quietly opened the door and close it gently as she went in. She looked at the Jack sitting behind the desk and she felt suddenly two feet tall. He was a handsome Jack and had interesting eyes... but he was very much intimidating to Aislinn but she still mustered her courage.
Normally she spoke but since he seemed to have given her a cue, she went ahead. "I-sir, I came to inquire about a position caring for children if you are in need" she spoke up, he didn't seem the type to mess around so she thought it best to get to the point and not use up much of his time. Yes good. Quick, simple and to the point was just the ticket. She quickly stopped speaking, waiting for him to reply.

Placing his fingertips together he rested his elbows on the desk, leaning forward slightly. At the Leveret's explanation for being there he raised an eyebrow. He might just have a position for her but there were a few questions it would have to answer first. He was not just going to accept anyone into his Warren without knowing nothing about them.
"And pray tell me, why is it that you be the one that I assign to the job?" He asked his voice sound neutral with almost a hint of being bored. He studied the leveret in posture and grace looking for any physical clues as to why they might not be worthy of it.
The caretaker of his children was especially a job that he would not just hand over lightly. With his first Doe expecting his first litter the position was needing to be filled but that would not make his filling it haste.

Aislinn looked away from him, nervously; she learned the hard way that you do not look a Jack in the eye even if they were speaking to you. That suggested you felt equal and as a leveret... you are most definitely not.
"I am looking for a position within the warren and since I heard one of your doe's gave birth, I figured you may require someone to care for them. It would only help you to have the extra hand and I am not soft. I would not entirely cater to them, they would be brought up like proper does/jacks but at the same time I know when to let up and be kind and patient as well. I was a caretaker for the children in my last warren and my jack was always pleased with my work" she said taking pause. He may have been pleased by her work, but she still ended up kicked out of the warren. Poor thing.

He was pretty pleased with the leveret so far, but he had most certainly caught the last part of her speech - or at least he had definitely caught what was missing from it. Lofting an eyebrow he questioned her further.
"If your Jack was so pleased with your work, then how is it that you now come to be here?" It would not do to miss valuable information about someone who was going to work in his Warren. He would know everything about each of them - that retaining to the information he wanted to know about them. He did not have the time to care about each individual Leveret's care and feelings, but their work skills and ethics were another matter. If she had been lazy or broke one of her Jack's rules, well he could not have that kind of influence around his precious children or Warren.

The leveret tensed when he asked her why she was kicked out. She knew he would but she still kind of hoped he wouldn't. "Well... I didn't break any rules at least but one of his does agreed (or so I thought) to let me do some work on her eyes to make them better to make her more attractive to the Jack and... it went wrong and she tore my ear and had me thrown out of the warren. It was out of luck that I heard of your warren or I may have died" she took a breath, it was short and too the point but each word still killed her to utter.
"But sir, I am a good worker and I promise not to be a bad girl anymore. I will never disobey you and I'm loyal." She hoped her previous actions wouldn't sully her chances of getting into the warren. If it did... she didn't know what she wanted to do.

Hearing the reason that she had been forced out of her old warren made him leery of offering her a job of taking care of his kids. He was silent for a good long while as he contemplated his options in front of him, knowing good well that it was completely up to him if she was offered the job or not.
Under no circumstances would he allow any harm to come to his first litter, no circumstances.
However, along with that note, came the fact that she did seem to have some experience in dealing with the young. He continued to remain silent until he had come to a decision.
"I will allow you the opportunity to prove yourself capable for this job. For six months you will be under a probationary period. If after that time I see that I am completely satisfied with your capabilities you will keep the job."
He waited only a moment to hear if she had any questions before dismissing with a nod of his head. "Any of your fellow Leverets can show you around."
