He only paused for a moment to take in the wonderful sound the keen had made. Tilting his head to the side he gave a smile as if he was listening to the sweetest of music. Wither the keen had been made out of fear or pain, either way it did not matter to him. The smile on his face was not a pleasant smile as he turned to look down at the prone figure.
“Shall I take that as a yes, then? Why do we not add some more fun?” He tone was cold, the look in his eyes even colder. If his friend was really dead then he was going to make sure that his friend’s body became so as well.
Without a moments hesitation he reached down with his bear hand and grasped the canine’s neck in a choking hold. It did not take long for the stench of burning flesh and tissues to reach him. His stomach protested at the smell but he determinedly kept his grip, if anything tightening it.

((The damage done here is temporary and with permission, but it'll have him sore and looking rather torn up for a little while until some of the scratches heal and the fur starts fuzzing back in.))
Though he wasn't up for saying much, with the strength he had, the canine quite determinedly used his limbs and their long canine nails to rake at whatever part of the mouse he could reach. He managed to scratch the man's torso up pretty damn well, getting a few chunks of fur off, but he knew the damage wasn't nearly enough, wasn't even permanent... and the weakness was still clawing at him, draining him like nothing else could.
And then the glove came off, literally and metaphorically, and he could feel it begin burning through the fur and skin of his throat. He tried to scream and it worked for a few seconds before something started to penetrate and interfere with his voice box. He realized in horror that his throat was literally burning away, that the mouse's hand was burning a hole in his throat.
As Aderlass held on, even tightening his grip, the hole widened and the canine began gagging as he could no longer breathe, much less speak. Within a minute and a half, the mouse had actually managed to burn right through his neck to his spine, which killed him in a most agonizing fashion. His body slumped to the floor, the smell of charred flesh and fur clogging the air, mingling with the scent of the other body's spilled blood, as well as Aderlass's own.

He felt the moment the canine below him was dead. In the blink of an eye the mouse flashed back to himself. Looking down to the carnage below him his eyes widened in horror at what he had done.
Stumbling back from the body, whose head was now melted away from the body, he stumbled on some of the bone statues that decorated the circle. Recoiling from the rattling sounds as they fell to the ground, he looked around the room as someone would who had woken up disoriented. His eyes falling on carcass of Miss Eva he felt his stomach rebel.
He had to get out of here.
Reacting out of instinct he placed the glove back on his hand as he scampered out of the living room, skidding and running into the walls as he lost his balance. Before he knew what he was doing he made it to Mick’s room and upon entering it his eyes fell on Mick’s favorite toy. The doll he had loved to interrogate.
Stumbling over to it he snatched it into his hands. His legs giving out below him he fell to the floor. Huddling over the object that could not be considered more then rags, he clutched it to his chest.
He was oblivious to the physical pain the creature had caused in his struggles. The bite to his left arm, the scrapes from the canine’s claws, the missing tuffs of fur. All he felt was numbness. Tears started to make their way down his face as the fullness of what had just happened struck him.
“I’m sorry . . .” He whispered to the doll, stroking it gently with one paw.

((...actually, I think this is a pretty good ending point. Would you like to wrap it up here or is there something else you want to cover before we do?))

As the sun started to set, the mouse stood over the two freshly covered graves.
Kneeling by the one that held his friend, still in his bipedal form, Juris was at his shoulder cooing softly. The pain and tenseness in his muscles had started to set in though it he barely noticed it.
As the sun set he felt more tears fall down his face. All of this had been his fault. If he had not hesitated, if he had . . . It was over now though. He had failed his friend . . .
He held the doll that was his friends most prized possession, smoothing it with his paw. “I am so sorry Mick. Please forgive me.” He brought the doll to his forehead, wishing to hear his friend’s voice again, not the voice that had haunted his friend’s body in the end. Their first encounter echoed in his mind.
“Hey, hey, hey! It’s you! I have seen you watching and I wanted to come over and invite you to play but mom said no. Something about talking to strangers. What is a stranger? But! Since your out here now it is okay for me to play with you! So, tag?”
Letting the tears fall he placed the doll on his friend’s grave. Mick needed something to play with after all. After he had buried the doll as well, he slowly brought himself to his feet.
There was nothing here now . . . he needed to go back to the Capital.
As he walked pass the house he stopped for a moment. Giving it a longing glance he finally pulled his glove off his hand and touched it to the wood of the house’s side. He only watched for a moment as it went up in flames before heading on his way.
