The pain of her fangs breaking further and further through the gum was enough to significantly distract the young doe, to make her repeat mistakes she should have learned to resist by now. This pretty argumentative aspect of herself should have been more easily contained, a piece of Mephit knew this well, but the rest of her...the rest of her was blinded by the pure expanse of red that had filled her vision. She wanted to sink those agonizing fangs into him. If only he weren't so vile.
Despite the sound being rather unnatural for a deer to make, Mephitisia growled low in her throat and narrowed her eyes into even tighter slits. "I am not your 'little clover'." She sneered, continuing to pace after the disgusting rat diamond.
When Osias made to play his 'cute' card, Mephit merely stopped and stared for a long moment. The fury faded and it would become harder and harder to tell what she was thinking and feeling. What...was this disgusting rat trying to pull? Her nose scrunched up in disgust, she was going to kill him.

He smiled at her, it was a rather disgusting, malicious looking one, but it was a smile none the less. And ,as she seemed mildly distracted by the card he'd played, he simply heightened his charm, slowly this time. He was trying to make the transition so mild that she wouldn't notice right away, he wanted to test this skills limits and she seemed quite a nice little target for it. He also stopped his circles, those were only fun for so long.
He had a wicked little thought spring to mind and it tugged the corners of his muzzle back further, she'd certainly want to lash out at him if he said what he wanted to say... so he'd save it, for now. He didn't quite want to give up on agitating her, it was so easy after all, thus he spoke again, that smile still on his face and an emphasis put on the one word he knew would get her goat.
Your move, sweetheart.
And he watched, and waited for some sort of reaction, she was quite amusing to him after all.

It would be quite hard to tell if that charm was working on Mephitisia at all. Her body had relaxed a degree, her mind going blank as she slowly used her suit's ability to numb the pain, and then her expression wiped clean as well. There was nothing in those sharp orange eyes, but the venomous hatred had definitely not stilled within her mind. In fact, the lack of pain gave her a sudden flush of clarity. She was going to him. For most, the charm would've worked. It would've eased some of the rage floating in the air and made her more agreeable. To a degree it did. The failing came from the undeniably fact that no amount of sickeningly sweet charm could've assuaged the rage that he'd spawned upon their first meeting. Nor was it likely that he could ever correct the opinion she'd formed of him. Slowly she seemed to reanimate, smiling now as well. Those youthful fangs could be seen, small but glinting in the moonlight when she tilted her head just right. Orange eyes came alive, glowing with a light not granted to them by the moon. "Of course, poppet." Smoothly she flooded forward, that smile widening dangerously. For the briefest moment, Mephtisia resembled a snake about to strike, perfectly poised to do damage, and then, with only that pause as warning, she lunged. She didn't care what he tasted like any longer, she was going to punish him for daring to insult her with her very presence! (Now, if I remember correctly, at this age a bite from Mephitisia would only temporarily paralyze Osias in the location where she bit him. So if she managed to get his arm, his arm would be paralyzed. So its up to you if he gets bitten >_> I will also have to check with Nat to be sure I have her poison at this age worked out still. I deleted the original PM on accident. Go me. >_>)

He moved away when she came forward at first, but the pause threw him off and he cursed himself mentally for allowing it to. He'd let his guard slightly off because she was a child, and now he felt those fangs sink into his arm. His charm spell would suddenly, and completely, be dismissed, no weaning it's levels down. It might throw her off a bit, but he didn't care. He was angry, and he wasn't afraid to show it.
You bitch!
He hissed his words and wasted no time in trying to twist himself from her jaws, quite possibly raking her fangs over his skin if she held on, and sending out a foot. His aim was to kick the little wench right in the guy, or maybe a side? He didn't rightly care at this point. She'd bitten him, and it was already sending a strange feeling along it, coupled with the initial bit of pain from the bite it's self.

Mephit clamped down harder when his charm spell crashed down, laughing in her mind but making not a sound out loud. She was beyond furious, but she was at least satisfied to hear the 'true' filth that was this rat coming through to reality. He was not a charming diamond, an unfortunate soul caught in the wrong body. Oh no. He was as disgusting as his physical self displayed.
She let her fangs rake his arm and received a solid kick to her side for the extra damage she dealt. It winded her for a second as she lept back, out of the way of another assault and spat the disgusting mixture of blood and fur from her mouth. Filthy Lowlander. Tasted as disgusting as he looked.
"What's the matter, rat? Something wrong with your arm?!"
There was a manical thrill that rushed through her, a hateful pleasure that screamed for more. Mephitisia wanted to fill him with so much of her venom that he was left twitching and paralyzed on the ground. Instead she backed up further, eyes narrowing. If she bit him again, she'd have to withstand that terrible taste and she wasn't willing to do that...for all the pleasure she would gain from watching him twitch in paralytic shock. That, however, left her at the mercy of her pain ability and she wasn't about to risk her life for a full out fight with a disgusting vermin.

He hissed, as well as a rat could, and glared at her with narrowed visionaries, ones that were surprisingly golden in hue. They'd both backed away somewhat, but he didn't bother to grab the place on his arm where she'd bitten him, and left two straight, parallel cuts. Nope, he simply let his arm hang there as the blood slowly ran over his wirey fur, edging it's way slowly downward. Blasted runt, she'd gone and pissed him off.
The narrow digits of his other hand clenched and he bared all of those sickly yellow fangs at her. If she wanted a fight, she would have it, child or not. His fur bristled involuntarily and his muscles contracted in anticipation, but she hesitated and a retaliation never came. This, however, did not put the rat at ease, oh no, she wouldn't catch him off guard again.
It was her move, and whatever she did would determine the rest of both of their evenings, for it was getting rather late, as it had been late when they'd first encountered each other.

They were both at a standstill now, both apparently weighing her options. They both wanted blood, but Mephitisia intended not to have any drawn from her. She could not risk death at the hands of this filth.
Slowly her ears flattened further to the back of her skull and she stepped away another pace.
Mephit would not forget the face of this Lowlander and when she ascended to the top, he would be the first she took down. Filthy rat of a diamond. At last she rose up to her full height, no longer slinking in fighting stance although she did continue to sneer quite intently. This should have ended before it ever began, but rage had lead her to make the first move. It would have to end now, now before she began to make risks that she was not prepared for.
Mephitisia would not jeopardize her studies further for the mere satisfaction of killing this scum. No, it was good enough that he wouldn't be able to move his arm for some time.
Slowly she backed away, ears still flat against her skull. She was leaving, but if he so much as moved toward her she would not hesitate to defend herself.
