A snake slinked in to the shop, hoping not to get stepped on with all the hustle and bustle. Granted he wasn't the size of a worm...but no one really looked on the ground for snakes much anymore, Reptiles were suppose to be rare after all.
He found a little gap in the mass of people and capitolized on it, straightening his neck high up so that he could see over the counter at the remaining Bandersnatches. He looked....apprehensive at best....truth be told he was kind of scared of them....but....what with all that was going on at the brothel....Roxanne was demanding that each whore go out and get one of their very own. She couldn't garentee that they would be able to save them...but they were better then no guards at all...and honestly...people were much less likely to mess with someone who had a mean looking Bander.
None of the ones left looked horribly mean...in fact...most of them looked...fairly docile...but Roxanne had made a point about it....she had gotten Angry at Mehen for bringing back a 'vanity pet' instead of a boy who could actually protect her in an emergency. She didn't want to make Roxanne angry...she'd been through a lot in the last couple days....They all had.
"Um...excuse me....can....can I buy Tabitha?" his words were beginning to sound more feminine as he perfected the art of speaking that way...but more then that...he seemed...tence...."Possibly....a leash and collar/bell to? Periwinkle would be pretty....or Lavender..."

"Green would be lovely," Iphis said. It seemed a good color to go with a brown bander coat. A nice, deep green. It would go with Helena's coloring, too. Lovely shades. He would give the little girl to Helena as soon as she got the leash on her, and then Helena could have a happy new friend all to herself. Iphis stole a glance at her; he just hoped that she didn't accidentally smother the poor little thing to death.
Really, his brain was already on this Yarrow idea. The cost didn't bother him; he was well-off enough to afford it. Meeting a breeder...He gave a gleeful little twitter. Plus it involved a trip. Iphis loved the Gardens, and the prospect of going there without seeing crazy relatives (the goddess love them!) was perfectly delightful.
He took the piece of paper gratefully. "Thank you very much," he said. "I shall hop right on this!"

Neil couldn't believe it. For the first time ever he had the money to actually go out and buy something of his own. He didn't have to weasel it out of someone or... steal. He hated stealing, but everything was better now. That was all in the past thanks to Theofilus. He made his way to the counter, tail wagging happily, and hailed the shop keep over. "I'd like a special order, if-if you could that is." He smiled nervously, fidgeting with his bag. "I'd like a Bander with a light build, fluffy ears and cheeks. Preferably pink, with dapples and Siamese points. And a purple collar with a gold bell, please."Neil wasn't used to asking for things like this, but he was excited now. A little friend of his own! Sometimes a little protection would be nice too. Hesitantly he reached into his bag and produced his coin sack. "How much will that be?"(Okay, custom order to clarify. ^^; Think yarrow with this pretty. Pink with lilac or dark pink markings. Fluffy ears and cheeks, maybe fluffy legs? Tail can be long or short, both would be very cute. ^^ Short and bunny-like or long and fluffy. ^_^ ) |

Sabe had been here before but didn't know if he woudl want to buy one or not. Yet here he was and wanted a companion of some sort, something that wouldn't mind having him around. He knew though that these creatures could be quite vile and mean if they wanted to... and they were ment for fighting and for those that had money to bet on and pit aginst each others. That wasn't a bad idea... he could make some money on the side and even some favors if he trained his bander right... it was a diplomatic advance. Who else had banders? Not those of lower ranks... but those of higher and had something to lose or gain. Sabe was changing and he really didn't know if he was ok with it or not just yet. But he would follow through and see how he turned out. He hoped that he was the same. Yet... here he was getting something for violance... well... something else... maybe he just wanted something to have around something that he could take care of and something that he could do... besides work. He walked up and inclined his head a tad before the man, "I would like to purchase that one there. The brown female with tabby stripes, pointed legs, and a fluffy tail, if you don't mind." he said as he rose an arm to point at one of the creatures that were fsast asleep... he took the first one that he saw and thought that it was a rather nice color and very pretty... easy on the eyes and looked to be a nice fighter. |
