Due to the recent leaving of Spidey, the future of the banders seemed grim... but for the arrival and eager sacrifice of the magnificent Xenon! Together we are working on the next generation of banders, dubbed v2.0 just to call them something. Genes are being added, stats are being done away with, images are changing, prices are being modified, and bunches of other stuffs. Expect loads more fun breeding possibilities.
The thin, two-story row house sits near the edge of the capital city's bazaar market area, close enough to the residential district that most would confuse it for someone's private dwelling if not for the small sign hanging above the carved wooden door. Faded red brick leaves the building looking unremarkable when compared with its neighbors, a small flower box sitting outside one of its windows the only attempt at decoration, if that. The plant growing there doesn't have any blossoms popping up, nor does it seem likely that the prickly green needles will ever sport such decoration.
A middle-aged mustelid pokes his head from the second story window to survey the morning, then quickly ducks back inside and closes the shutters tightly. They're a nondescript brown color, contrasting sharply with his silvery mane of hair and blue-gray fur.
You notice noises coming from within, some of them easily explained away as movement and others somewhat more unusual. A chorus of purring coughs can be heard when the pine martin descends to the ground floor and his rich baritone chuckle answers, all of the sounds muffled by the barely-opened glass of the window with the flower box. The front door opens without warning and the pine martin sticks his head out once again, this time standing and stretching as he assumes his bipedal form with relative ease. In his mouth is a small sign, which he takes hold of as soon as he has hands and hangs on the front door. It swings back and forth as he reopens the front door and retreats once more indoors.
Entering the store, one of the first things you notice is the smell. It's not quite musky, but it has the unmistakable whiff of 'animal'. The cause quickly becomes apparent as a small khaki form sneezes to your left, staring straight at you and not blinking. Everything about him, from the way he sits to the tilt of his wedge-shaped head, screams 'superior'. He's better than you and he knows it, the arrogant little cuss.
Treasach, a Highland Champion and Ashwin's pet
A voice sounds in front of you before your impromptu staring contest is complete. "If you think you're going to win, you're sadly mistaken. Anyone trying to intimidate Treasach in his territory is just deluding themselves." It's a dry voice, deep enough that it has to be a man's. When you look, the pine martin from before is watching you with an expression vaguely similar to that of the bandersnatch, though less intense. Scars marr the otherwise plush fur, silent testament to the man's profession. He raises and breeds these contentious little creatures.
"I'm Ashwin, in case you were unaware, the proprietor of this shoppe. What can I do for you today? Or rather, what do you have the funds for me to accommodate? You do have funds, don't you?"
Rules of Purchase
You must have the appropriate number of tokens in the post below in order to purchase any of Ashwin's goods or services. You must also roleplay your interested creature entering his shoppe and making the transaction. It only has to be one post, and he will reply with your purchase, after which you are free to go on your merry way. It must meet the normal rules for an RP post on this board - 150 words minimum - and you get both a point for the reply and a point for meeting Ashwin.
Please state whether or not you want a roleplay reply. If it doesn't matter to you, say so. If it does, say so. Either is fine.
Available Bandersnatches
These banders are individually priced, and may also be used in the random store bander selection. Genes and genders have already been rolled and will be revealed upon purchase. Please note that none of the names listed are permanent, just the shopkeep's ironic attempt at humor. When they're gone, a new batch will be ordered and Ashwin will await shipment from his breeder connections.
