Seth grinned at Tegan. He could see already that she was going to be hell-on-wheels until she'd matured, maybe even worse than Hadrian had been. That was a thought that was almost scary, but for now she also had the advantage of being completely adorable alongside everything else. And she looked the most Solandrian of the bunch. That was something Seth could really appreciate.
"Hnnh... yeah, that does make sense.[/b]" the man said, scratching his cheek slightly as he did. He'd seen Rhiannon studying the language and culture, and heard her say once that she wanted to name her children in the Bog tongue... It made sense that the woman should take a trip there at least once. The man tensed for a moment at her comment about Hadrian, however. So he hadn't told her about that little trip? Seth wouldn't either if that was the case. "Maybe when you're in the Bog Hady and I will head for the Glacier. If Sorcha's gonna be old enough to go with you, the others will be old enough to be left with a sitter or something. Maybe Zub will take them for a bit.[/b]"
The bat's ear twitched as a soft noise began to emanate from the basket, and he blinked as he glanced toward it. Something was humming. He looked at Heilyn, expression questioning.

Mikael had stayed quite noiseless during the transfer from bed to basket. His belly was full, and being filled with milk made it so that he truly had little to cry about. Suddenly though, there was something tickling his ear, and -humming- inside of the huge cavity in his head. One of his sister's glowing protrusions had made its way into his ear canal. While the noise wouldn't seem too loud to some, when it was stuck in one's ear it was quite irritating!
Whimpering, he twisted away from the offensive thing, bringing his coyote-esque back paws up to push Sorcha bodily away from him. How was he supposed to sleep with all that racket???

Miles and miles away, deep in the heart of Midori, the Priestess Zuberi looked up from her tea, considering something thoughtfully. Her ears were burning. Perhaps someone was talking about her?

Heilyn, oblivious to the fact that Hadrian had, in fact, been to the Glacier on his own already nodded in agreement. "We'll trade stories," she smiled softly, "Though I suppose it wouldn't be terribly safe for any of the mixed ones to go with you, huh?" she mused out loud, looking over to the basket where a green glow emanated from. The only one of the three who could probably go would be the one with the stubby tail, but even then, even a hint of a mix sent up a red flag in Heilyn's mind in regards to bumping around in the Glacier.
"I could see her taking them for a few days. Though I hear she's been getting busier with her Priestess duties," she muttered, burying her face into soft spot on his chest just before the arm. He was so comfortable. She loved how multi-purpose he was. Lover, Friend, Protector, Assassin, Mattress/Pillow, and Blanket all rolled into one. She looked up questioningly as Seth shifted around. They looked at each other, she wondering what in the hell was up now... then she heard it. It was faint to her human ears, but she caught it. a slight humming... but where was it coming from?
In the basket, the girl did not get a humming bulb of flesh in her ear and found it comforting, falling asleep soundly.

Trading stories. That sounded like it would work rather well, as he always loved hearing about Heilyn's adventures in the Bog even when he would rather not go there himself. She was much more suited to her homeland than he could ever be, and no matter how hard he tried that simple fact took a lot of the enjoyment out of being there.
It was always a damper on a vacation when you had no idea what anyone was saying, but they were all staring rather openly.
Or pulling on your hair.
"We'll need to ask, but I bet she'd be more than happy to meet the new kids by hanging out with them for a while.[/b]" Seth mused, letting Heilyn snuggle into his almost-armpit with a grin, blue nails lightly massaging her scalp lightly. For a second, Seth completely ignored the sound of the strange hum, but then his oversized ears picked it up and twitched. It was a strange sound, almost soothing in its constant pitch, but the man had no idea where it was coming from and it worried him.
When he heard a whimper coming from the basket, he shifted to look into it, blinking red eyes slowly. He watched as his son pushed Sorcha away, and one of the glowing orbs was pushed from his ear. She was the one making the strange sound...?
Well. That was weird. "Your daughter is humming. And glowing.[/b]" he said by way of an answer to Heilyn's confused expression.

"No harm in asking," she agreed, her entire body relaxing for the sleep she so dearly wanted. She practically purred as he massaged her scalp. There was still a dull pain, bringing three children into the world was tough work, but she was warm, comfortable, exhausted and her head was getting massaged. What better way to drift off to sleep to? Well, for one, having said warmth haul his hairy ass back into bed. She looked up at him, somewhat irritated. Had she heard the whimper rather than being distracted, she would've fully supported the action.
"Humming?" she groaned quietly. That... was strange. Then again, so was the glowing, "Like... humming a song?" she asked, a little confused. Wasn't she a little young to know how to do that? "Wait, that little droning noise? That's her?" her head perked up. That was... more than a little strange.

Seth shook his head in reply to her first question, his brow furrowing as he struggled to think of the best way to explain what the sound was. "No, no, not like a song, like...[/b]" he waved his hands wordlessly, the term he was looking for still not coming to him. "Can't you hear it?[/b]"
It took him a second to remember that he was in bipedal form and that his oversized bat-ears had a distinctive advantage over her human ones when it came to listening for a sound as quiet as the one being made by their daughter. He didn't have to explain it, though, because a second later Heilyn answered his question. The bat nodded, crawling back into bed beside her, gently petting a cheek with his finger.
"Yeah, that's the one.[/b]" he replied, excitement audible in his voice. The man was fascinated by the mutations shown by this group of children, and wondered to himself how they would change as they grew. He snuggled in against Heilyn, yawning widely. That noise was rather soothing, wasn't it?

The tiny girl in the basket shifted from the noise. The talking distracted her from the humming that put her in a happy sleep.
Heilyn was becoming a little troubled by how much moving around Seth was doing. It made her restless through her tiredness. She was as elated as she could be in her exhausted state that Seth was crawling back into bed. She rubbed her cheek against the hand he touched to her face when he returned.
"Let's look into it closer in the morning, or whenever the hell I feel like waking up," she said quietly, yawning. All that fur. It was so warm and comforting. The delicate humming, now obvious after she'd found it, made for a nice change from the dead silence of the room previously. It was soothing. It calmed any remaining jarred nerves from the day's painful events. Within seconds of being settled by her fiance, she fell asleep.
