I can't either, they're probably all... big and rawr to.
And he swished his feather tipped tail at that, surely those that ate others didn't look like everyone else, he was certain they'd look like monsters really. Big, scary and completely ugly ... they probably had really big teeth to! Oh my, he certainly wouldn't want to run into one of those!
His snow white ears perked when she began to speak again, bringing him back to reality rather then the lane it'd run away down with his imagination.
I wouldn't want to be a bother...
It was at that point that his tummy decided to growl, she'd mentioned food and woken it up. He hadn't eaten either and, as much as he didn't want to be a bother, his stomach spoke louder then he could protest and he just gave a semi defeated smile with a little bit of a shrug. If she wanted to grab a bite to eat, well, he'd obviously not be opposed.

He was too sweet for words, if not a bit socially awkward but that was okay, Dilis liked him and that was all that mattered. She was glad she was not the only one with a wild imagination, it made her feel bad sometimes when she realized she had drifted off in her mind.
"A bother? Not at all and your stomach betrayed you, it's not bother at all. Come on, I saw a diner just down the way."
She was kind of glad it was his uncertainty that made him shy away rather than him not liking her. She would be very said if that turned out to be the fact.
"What are you in the mood for? I have only been to this place once but from what I remember they serve good food" She smiled. She was glad she didn't have to spend the day alone, she already got lonely enough when Father had made her leave the house. Walking down the road a bit, she turned to make sure Tavor was following "It's just down here a bit, not far at all".

His cheeks flushed again, he was caught. He mentally chastised his stomach before and began to follow his new friend, she still wanted him to join her and it made him rather happy. His walk was something close to a prance really, as close as a rat with wings could get to one anyhow. He also had a rather pleased looking grin on his face, he was just in an all round good mood this afternoon and he couldn't quite hide it.
He peered up at her as she spoke, and he wasn't sure exactly what to answer. He didn't often go places to eat, and he wasn't even really sure what they offered. He scrunched his nose in thought for a moment, before giving her the best answer that he could come up with.
I'm not really picky, how about whatever you're having? I'm sure you have good... taste.
That phrase still sounded funny, but it seemed fitting and he was sure whatever she got would be delicious!

Dilis smirked. "Well dear, I was thinking perhaps a small cake ((a crude donut)) and a cola. I am hungry but I am not terribly hungry. The place we are heading to will serve you anything you desire however, especially since you are with me. Father and I have been coming here for years so we have built up kind of a reputation in this place" She smiled. She was delighted to come here, she had many good memories of coming here with Father.
She walked up to the large doors to the diner "Well, here we are... The Aloquene Diner." Entering the establishment she found a booth for the two of them and sat down. "Bring us two cakes, Lemon Layer Cake and a cola for me. Also, ; Tavor what would you like to drink?" She handed the menus back to the waitress and waited for a reply from Tavor.

He listened to what she was getting and grinned, he'd had some kind of cake before, and it had been terribly delicious! He didn't often get sweets, and the talk of one made his grin broaden.
That sounds good, I haven't had one in quite some time!
He'd never had a cola, but he got lost in the talk of cake and forgot to question what it was. He slid into a seat across from her and looked up shyly at the Waitress, flushing ever so slightly as he spoke.
I think... the same.
He was thankful that he hadn't had to fuss with a menu, he never was able to decode all those scribbles and marks on them, he knew they had something to do with the food you got, but the connection eluded him completely.
And when the waitress left, he looked back to Dilis.
Cola is good, yes? I've never had it.

She had been craving Lemon Cake for the last couple of days and she was glad she found her chance. "Oh I am so glad, I was worried for a moment you might not like sweets." Dilis said relieved. She knew of some people who couldn't stand the taste of sugar... she never understood those people.
Dilis noticed the hesitation in Tavor's voice as he spoke to the waitress. Oh dear, has he not had cola before? She knew it was a rather new thing that the scientists had previously thought of as a type of medicine but... not knowing what it was at all was kind of alien to her. I must remember that not everyone has had the same experiences I have.
"I find cola to be very good but I will tell you what, if you find you do not like it let me know and I will get you something else" Dilis smiled. She really did not want Tavor to have a bad experience at such a lovely diner.

He nodded to her, smiling gratefully. Anything would do well for him, he was rather hungry actually. How long had it been since he'd had something proper to eat? He wasn't quite certain, actually. Something sweet? Even longer then that! Hopefully this... cola wouldn't be something completely out of his spectrum of taste.
He would occupy most of the short wait by asking Dilis questions, it was something he was good at and it kept others from prying into his own life. To young to get a job, to old to really stir the hearts of most to take him in, and to selfless to even want to try.... he lived a hard life but it was moments like these that kept the young hybrid going. He now had two of those moments, his day at the park with Xylia and now his lunch with Dilis.
When his food arrived, his lack of proper manners was apparent as he ate, well, at first. He'd end up giving her another sheepish grin before trying to mimic how she ate. And when it came to the cola? Well, at first the bubbles surprised him, but once he got over that he found it quite delicious. It was certainly like nothing he'd ever had before!
And after a bit more conversation, he peered out the window and saw where the sun was. Oh dear! He'd have to find a place to sleep before the sun set, it was much less daunting of a task if you did.
Oh dear, I must be getting.. .home. I must get back before dark, so.... I'll see you again, yes?
[[ Trying to get an ending XD ]]

She was enjoying Tavor's company but it seemed to be getting late. She was glad when the waiter came and gave them their food, she was happy and sad. She noticed as he ate that he may not have been taught proper manners. That did not really matter so much to Dilis though, he was still terribly nice. Also, it was really cute when he noticed and tried to eat like her. When he tried the cola he seemed surprised and that was endearing.
"Well sure Tavor, I must be leaving as well; Father does not like it when I am out late. You shall definitely see me again, I had a lovely time with you. Good night." She got up slowly and headed for the door. Today was a lovely day, hope Father will be up to talking with me for a bit. He has been rather busy lately...
