[I'm a little confused. ^^; I thought Finistris used the ability on Liv since he was talking to her?]

Oops. Sorry, I was um...devoured. The ability was aimed at Liv, actually. <3))

[Alright, in an effort to keep this moving, I'm just going to post.]
this was definitely weird. If there was one thing Liv loved and payed attention to, it was the outdoors. The air was dry. Before this, there was no mugginess, no implication of clouds coming, and the fog just kind of... formed. It didn't come from any direction.
Why was that man approaching her specifically? Wasn't he too busy flirting with that woman? She dropped her bag in surprise as her knee gave an almost violent spasm. Today was just... weird. She just wanted to be home, with her family, eating food. She began picking up her bag. One of the boxes had come out of the bag, the name of the Sorgaire-style cafe clearly marked on the top.
She opened her mouth to answer his question when suddenly she began to shiver uncontrollably, rendering her 'I don't know' to nothing more than a startled gasp.

Finistris watched the badger shiver and drop her bag. Damn, he wasn't going to lose prey once he'd focused on it. He had managed to "herd" the two far enough away from other people...besides, this was the Outer bazaar...no one would come running here. He threw his Jack's Ability at the badger and gave the girl beside him an icy smile that didn't quite reach his eyes.
"Tell me, miss. What is it you take pride in, what gives you pleasure in life?" This would be his judgment of the Avington...however she reacted, he would either involve her or include her...The Badger, however, was his.
Jack's Ability: Once a week, he is capable of causing an opponent to feel as though horrible, cold, sharp bone fingers are clawing at them for a full five minutes. This forces them to squint for the first thirty seconds as they adjust to the fact that their eyes are not actually under attack. The remainder of the time is spent feeling the pain of constant nicks and scratches that simply won't let up.

[lawl, I totally thought it wasn't my turn.] Through the shivering, she tried to put the box that fell out back in the bag. the shivering would stop, right? She wanted to get out as quickly as she could. She still couldn't see around her. Not seeing where she was getting away to didn't make her happy. Going further into the Outer Bazaar did not appeal to her, either. Then she let out a sudden yelp as she was suddenly assaulted by a multitude of icy, sharp claws. She closed her eyes and swatted at them. It took her some time to open her eyes and see there was nothing attacking her. She began whimpering under her breath as she continued swatting the the invisible claws. That man's face... "Please," she begged, gasping between yelps of pain and surprise all the while searching him and the woman next to him. [wow, that sucked. sorry]

Hmmm, not much of a response.
Please. Please, was never pleasing. All it meant was that the person was either too confused to respond to him, a slow thinker, or that they couldn't think of anything on the spot worth living for.
What was the point of please unless you were being polite?
"I'm sorry, but please is a common, and sadly insufficient, answer." She was wasting his time, the flirtatious mood of the Avington was becoming tense and...if she continued to push it, arousing... He would rather focus on her.
How would she take to bloodplay? He almost hoped, poorly.
Amazing Ability: Once a week, he is now able to cause thin shards of bone to begin to wiggle their way out of another creature's body. The bone shards are comprised of their right arm, slowly beginning to fragment itself into pieces, and worm their way out of the skin. This process is highly painful and takes a full minute to cease, when the right arm lacks any bone from the shoulder down. If this spell is used on snakes, it takes five inches up the tail instead.
As the pain began to hit the creature in front of him, Finistris would kneel down next to her and pull a knife from his pocket. A bluff seemed appropriate, and helpful.
Leaving the other woman to watch, he made an attempt to whisper in the Badger's ear.
"I can end it now, or it can end with you as a rather effective rug, my dear. Your choice."
His eyes darted quickly around the square as he waited for her answer, his breath coming faster in the anticipation...Sorgaire...they smelled so earthy...so distant. He'd only ever skinned one before...he wondered if his son would be able to deal with a pelt that hadn't come from an Ace...he wouldn't want to upset the boy.
Was this girl trophy enough for trauma? Hardly.
Maybe he could simply hang her somewhere that someone else might appreciate...
((OOC: Kiki, if you feel like coming back to play, we can see where this goes. Otherwise, I'll end it after Satra gives poor Liv her last few posts. Satra? Darling? Would you mind if Jak-a-boo found this lovely pelt later as Mrs. Lovett was peeling it off her doorfront in horror and took it home to his brother? I have an amazing idea for a way to mesh bits of Liv's pelt and Dell's hair to make the best collar/ruff/jellyfish hidey thing EVER.))

((Honestly, i don't really want to hold you up. My schedule right now doesn't allow much RP time I think we can just assume that Dilis is horrified yet very interested in what is going on around her. She is after all going on a downward spiral of sorts ))

Liv felt herself tearing up. What did this man want?! Why was he doing this?! What had she done to deserve this either from the mechanism of karma or from this man? She lived her life trying not to make enemies, trying to see the good side of everything and everyone. Why was this happening?
Her mouth and dripping eyes went wide with pain as the ability hit her. After the sharp gasp came a scream. She couldn't believe the pain she was feeling. Her right front leg... oh SUITS it hurt! It wasn't like the pain of the scratches from invisible claws, it came from deep within her arm. Then he bent over her. Her breath was loud and shallow, desperate crying escaped her with each shaking, gasping breath. The knife... no. No. NonoNoNONO!
I have to get out of here. She was vaguely aware of the thought when she found herself lash out unexpectedly with her good arm. She hit something, but she didn't linger to find out what. She rolled, ignoring the pain as best as she could, to run away. However, when she got to her third step, she felt her right front leg crumple underneath her. She screamed in pain again. She'd almost experienced something like this before, when she slipped off a rock crevice and broke her leg. This was similar to that, but worse. She stared and screamed in horror as she witnessed something wiggling under her skin as her arm laid there on the ground bending like it wasn't supposed to.
There was a flash of blue out of the corner of her eye. She barely had time to turn her head before there was a sharp pain, warm liquid, then nothing.
[done with permission eeexcept for that last part. Nat, please PM me if you'd like to see anything changed. <3]
