Finistris felt his stomach rumble as he swayed down the dingy street. Maybe he would run into someone interested in lunch before a fight? Probably not, he would keep the thought of food as a treat for after he got through someone...that is if they didn’t look too bad. His long blue hair was done up and his suit was pressed. Osias had made the previous night perfectly wonderful and he was happy to be out on his own for a little bit. He wanted to either talk to someone, or find a scrap. Fighting on this plane or reality was so intense. Better than sex in many regards, unless it was beating someone while his Osias rubbed up against him like... Delicious thoughts of his Rat running through his head clouded some of his thoughts as he made his way through the streets, respectable looking and a smirk in place, he was on the hunt....and he would find prey whether they wanted to play with him or not.

(( I totally just noticed this XD)) Good lord, he was gorgeous... he seemed a little dangerous too but that was alright in small doses. Dilis had been sitting on the edge of a pond reading when she saw the tall drink of water walk by. She bet he could show her a thing or two if he noticed her. Most of all though, she wanted to touch his hair. Maybe even braid it if he let her. But that was what made Hatter get the restraining order...she really could be creepy sometimes. Bad Dilis. Not that it really mattered anymore since she made the mistake of leaving Peder. She couldn't help it though! His hair looked like silk and deserved to be played with. She sighed as she adjusted her pearls and gloves in case the handsome stranger looked over. She wanted to look her best after all in case he did in fact want to give her a try. Since her...er... episode, she had felt a bit more free than she had before. She had even used a couple contractions in front of Father and it didn't even terrify her until he came over and chastised her. That part always sucked though. She would not have to deal with it for long though, she had plans to move herself to the city. Not alone of course, this was all after she made up with Peder and he of course would take her back and live happily ever after. But until then she'd be alright with seeing where life took her.

Why did some of the best foods come from the crappiest-looking stores? It was only from this seedy little cafe in the Outer Bazaar that they made the best pierogies. A real homemade recipe exactly like folks made back home in Sorgaire. It wasn't bastardized into some trendy low-fat thing where upscale but culturally ignorant people who have no idea what the real thing was like try to 'make it better'! It was one of the few "petty" things in life that got her annoyed. She left the store with the bag of goodies to bring back to Nelo and Pathos. He relationship with the man was getting pretty stagnant, but they agreed to stay together until Penelope found a stable home and moved out instead all the traveling she's been doing. She left herself to daydream, letting her nose guide her back to where her family was staying. She had very little fear of getting lost. Suddenly, her knee twinged. A byproduct of a childhood injury that she made the mistake of not letting it heal properly was that the knee became sensitive to barometric pressure changes. She came out of her daydreaming and looked up at the sky and the horizon all around. Well, even if it didn't look like a storm was on the way, best not to be in a position to let the food get wet.

Well, well...wasn’t this girl hard to ignore? Vibrant yellow dress and rather lovely hair piled up high on her head. Another Human, pretty thing...Avington? All that yellow though, maybe there was some of the Gardens lurking in this girl? He smiled at the thought, exotic, certainly. He watched her get a little closer out of the corner of his eye before turning his head slightly as he moved on ahead of her.
”And to what do I owe the honor of being chased like this, my dear?” He asked, ignoring his hunger as best he could. He could now see the markings crawling up over her shoulders, her tree...how lovely. He wanted to make it shrivel and turn black...he had heard rumor that Avington trees would blacken if you forced a secret out of them, how far could he push this little Human girl? He slowed his walk abruptly, deciding that she would do for the evening’s entertainment. ”Might I ask for your name? I can’t help but desire something to ring with the image of your face when I think on it next.”
Something smelled amazing! It was all he could do to stop his stomach from growling by bending slightly in a mock bow. What was that? He turned a corner, still keeping his eyes on the Avington behind him, she looked like a screamer, he would have to aim for that lovely throat before anything else...

Oh...well... what a gentleman. He'd addressed her in record time and Dilis was feeling pretty proud of herself.
"Chased? Oh no, you must be mistaken, I can assure you that I would never chase someone. I did however notice you when I was reading if that makes it all the better." He was looking her up and down, this she knew. What she didn't know was if it was because he was judging her or because he liked what he saw. She hoped for the latter. She really hated snooty people and she hoped he didn't turn out to be one of them. She would have to play the game to find out though...
"My name is Dilis Ó Braoin, and by a gentleman like you it should be an honor to have you think on me. Your name is?" She smiled to herself, it pleased her to know she had been getting better at this whole flirting thing. Before she couldn't even look at a man without blushing and now she could get through a whole conversation. You're doing good girly she thought as she rubbed a pearl 'twixt a pointer finger and her thumb; it was a habit now that she had her human form.

Liv hauled her butt to get out of the way of the man. She couldn't help the indignant sniff that came out of her. She had to move out of his way so he could go flirt with the woman at the fountain. Had he even seen her? Or was he being rude on purpose? Perhaps as a Human, he was just too good for 'lowly' Animals like her.
Probably a Heart, too.
She shook herself. No, it's best not to think those thoughts. Getting angry over nothing. There were rude people in the world, and the more one pay attention to them, the more they stayed in one's life. Not worth it.
Still, she had to marvel at seeing two humans in the same place. Strange and mysterious they were. Grotesque in their non-Animal likeness and beautiful all at the same time.
She stopped by the fountain the woman was sitting next to, put her food down on the edge, and threw a coin in. It was a silly superstition, but she couldn't help it. She picked up her food and left. Her twinging knee reminding her of the coming storm. Then she realized... why didn't she know when the storm would arrive? Usually...
An innate fear began to bubble. Her pace picked up.
Small Ability: Whenever a storm is approaching, this SD knows when it will arrive down to the minute...she also has the innate sense of when danger is just around the bend...her knee will twinge oddly...though she cannot tell if the twinge means danger...or a storm. Just that one of the two will happen when she says so.

"Dilis..." He murmured, taking her hand and kissing it lightly. "It is a pleasure to become acquainted with such a delightful lady." She was lovely, and luck would have it...easy insofar, he began walking again, slowly to make sure she would follow but keeping his eye on the thing that had nearly bumped into him. He couldn't afford to lose much attention onit now, but he had certainly noticed... Maybe he could get two toys out of this after all, he made sure that he and the Human woman slowly followed the odd Sorgaire.
Gods something smelled divine.
"I am Finistris, my dear. King of Spades, at your service this fine evening." He watched her rub at the pearls and felt an odd sensation, akin to how he felt when he was safely in one place with his Osias and his son...calm, collected. The thought cheered him as well, prospects were good. So good! He may as well set things in motion now.
Small Ability: Once a day, he is capable of causing a small mist to form slowly over the course of a minute, the mist will focus on an opponent if he can focus on their eyes. The mist is warm and once it begins to form, it cuts off all view of the rest of the world around the victim.

((*snort* omg i make myself laugh sometimes))
Man, did her name never sound so good. Nrr. "A king? well no, it really is an honor of mine Finistris, your majesty" she bowed slightly to show her respect.
Especially one so attractive... She had no idea why he had decided to chat with her (she assumed her Avington looks or charm) but really it did not matter because he was attractive... she was attractive... boy would they make beautiful blue haired babies together... She just kept playing with those pearls, hoping they were taking effect and he would be so pleased with her he'd whisk her away to bed. Or the alley. Or it really did not matter because right now she just wanted to pet that silky blue hair.
She coughed and silently chastised herself for he probably thought her strange for being so quiet. Suddenly she was hit with a strange feeling as if it was just the two of them. A mist had hit and everyone had just left, leaving her alone with him... not at all a bad thing.

[Please correct me if I made a mistake in regards to Fini's power. <3 ]
Liv grunted in annoyance as a mist formed around her. Maybe it was, in fact, a storm that she felt and not some form of danger. She scrambled to get under an over hang and get home before the food got cold and rained on. She could feel it. Just around the corner, the 'storm'. She weaved in an out of people who paused in confusion at the mist.
Liv stopped as well. Why was the mist warm? Now that she thought about it, why would a mist just suddenly form in the middle of the day when there was no temperature change? Something was definitely wrong.
[Eh sorry, she's not going to stick around, you'll have to find her, Fini. XD >> Apologies for the lame post.]

Finistris raised his eyebrows at the girl. Was her head full of sawdust, or had she really just made the faux pas he though she had? He couldn't quite believe it, she had just given him the title for a Queen instead of a King. His eyes lit up though she might just take the look as furthered interest, and he smiled thinly.
"Oh please, no formalities necessary, my dear. Why don't you come with me for a bit? The weather appears to be getting a tad bit disagreeable."
He took her hand lightly and draped her arm across his, unable to stop himself from admiring the look and feel of the gloves she sported...nice, he could only hope her skin would be equally soft when he was tearing into it... He walked a a quicker pace as he saw the strange Sorgaire disappearing quickly ahead of them. He wasn't about to let that one get away with whatever it had that smelled so tempting.
"Hmm, quite the fog is it not? How odd, perhaps this person could tell us what's going on. Excuse me?" He asked, upon reaching the Animal, long Human legs having carried himself and Dilis faster at a brisk walk. "This weather seems a bit unnatural, tell me...have you any idea what may have caused it?"
He allowed himself a small chuckle as he snapped his fingers, as though thinking about the curious situation as the fog became thicker cutting off any view of what may have been before them...
Small Ability: Once a day, he is capable of causing an opponent's body to shiver uncontrollably as though they were freezing by snapping his fingers. The spell will last up to a minute on any Card ranked King or lower, but only twenty seconds on Queens or Jokers. Many can still move while this is going on but not well. When coupled with his ground spell, they will have a hard time getting up at all.
