[[Other people are more than welcome to join if they'd like, unless Satra says otherwise ^_^ these two need some action that I've long denied them]] Despite being blissfully unaware of his to-be cannibalistic nature, Sadiki was in an angsty mood as he brooded and skulked around the palace. He didn't even really know why, but he had been purposefully avoiding everyone with the knowledge that he probably wouldn't be much fun to be around right now. Unfortunately, his sister didn't seem to get the hint. He could hear her footsteps behind him, slow and cautious, speeding up with his gait and then slowing when she felt she was getting too close. Having hooves made of glass meant that she was being anything but inconscpicuous, however. The human sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose, turning to face the doe who looked... well, like a deer caught in the headlights. "Nami what do you want already?" He huffed quietly, rubbing the skin around the aching area of his forehead as he waited for her to come up with a response. "I um... I... what are you doing? I just wanted... did you want company?" She asked pleasantly, though there was a confused and hesitant, almost hurt note to her voice. Having never experienced this mood before, the female was suitably weirded out. Normally Sadiki was running around setting fire to things and generally pissing people off. It made her giggle. But this didn't make her want to laugh at all. "We could go spy on someone? That's always fun!" She threw out happily, the look instantly fading as he turned around and hunched over, starting to walk away again. "People are boring. And stupid. I don't want to watch them." This was very unlike the curious male, who generally really enjoyed company, especially that of her and Tokasu. Maybe he'd know how to help! She didn't want to leave her brother alone though, her mother had warned her that he was very delicate, just like her. They were supposed to be with another sibling at all times or someone trusted. She paused in the middle of the hallway in her indecision and watched her brother get farther away. This was a predicament...

"Captain Andrei looked around, but saw Lieutenant Sasha no where! He was on his own. Would he survive the rugged wilderness? Or will he die, alooone?" whispered the Bat-Eagle mix to himself. He hung upside-down, observing the rugged wilderness of a hallway in the Court of Hearts. There were dangers at every turn, so he had to be on careful watch! Andrei's massive ears picked up the ting of the deer girl's hooves long before the pair of children came upon where he was hiding. He watched them from the ceiling as they spoke. That boy was a Human, just like his sister! They should meet, he thought, nodding to himself. "Hark! Anon! Verily!" he whispered loudly to himself, having no idea what those words meant, "Perhaps these weary travelers could help the brave and noble me, I mean, Captain Andrei to his commodores," he meant 'comrades'. Then he gasped, "Or perhaps they are the enemy in disguise! Clever, Evil Snow Baroness! But you will not fool me! I know your tricky ways and won't be fooled by your trickery!" he didn't realize that his volume was increasing through his self-monologue, "I shall rescue himself! They shall not even find me for Captain Andrei is like a ninja" with that word, he dramatically spread his wings out to the sides, "in the night." The midday sun came in strongly through the window, reflecting strongly off the white and yellow in his fur.

The doe sat still and blinked shimmering glass orbs at her brotheras if beckoning him back with a look that he couldn't even see. Her ears twitched as she caught the sounds of a particularily unusual conversation above the dull sounds echoing through the hallway. When she continued to listen, she discovered the voice was... speaking to itself entirely. This piqued her interest enough that she momentarily forgot about her brother.
"A ninja? Who is a ninja?" She asked curiously, catching sight of something flying high above. "Hey, aahhh!" The sun shone bright and hard into her eyes and she dropped to the floor for a moment, wincing and closing them tight. This seemed enough to alert Sadiki, and luckily his sense of loyalty to his family outweighed his foul mood for he came running back immediately.
"Nami! Are you okay? Who are you talking to?" He asked, reaching out fingers to create a shield so that she could open her eyes. The doe did so and stared through a crack in her brothers fingers to see the stranger who had been talking moments before. "Who are you? Why are you talking to yourself?" It was hard to have a conversation with a barrier in the way, but bright lights were harsh on her eyes she'd found.
"Who is who? What? Oh." The human boy turned to look at the golden bat perched on the ceiling right in front of the midday sun. Squinting, he growled his frustration under his breath. "Could you come down? My sister wants to talk to you and she can't see you up there. It's rude." If there was one thing that could always made Sadi break down and get out of his snits, it was his sister, her emotions and desires had always been one of the few things he was willing to self-sacrifice for. Well, to be honest he was like that with all his siblings, but she being so sensitive and weak, he couldn't help but be especially kind to her.
The doe smiled beautifully at her brother, happy to see him acting somewhat normal again. Or, as normal as he got. He still seemed to be in a mouthy mood though, and she felt guilty on his behalf. "Umm, please? It would be nice, are you looking for someone? You sounded confused, I- we could help maybe?"

Andrei froze in place as he realized he'd been spotted. He just stared, almost owlishly, back at the pair of the ground. He folded his wings in, as if to guard his body with them.
"I was just, um..." he was suddenly quite unsure of himself. If Sasha had been there to egg him on, he would regaled them with his tales of Lieutenant Sasha and Captain Andrei and their on going battle with the Evil Snow Baroness (as fun as Tegan found it to bury them is snow during particularly cold winters, she was really do with the game) "Um, okay," he responded and let himself drop. His flight was awkward, the gliding interrupted by an occasional pump of wings into an erratic flight pattern.
He landed on the ground then displayed that his gait was even more awkward than his flight. Holding his wings out to the side for balance, he Bat waddle-walked which was interrupted in spurts by a hopping action.
"Who are you?" he asked, staring. The palace was a big place and he met people he didn't know all the time, but rarely other children.

Ayanami thought the flying was interesting, and watched with fascination as he came forward. He seemed familiar somehow, but she couldn't quite place him. They'd never met before but she felt like they had. When he had gotten closer she stood up and smiled eagerly. "I'm Ayanami, and this is Sadiki. Our mom is a King of Hearts and our dad is the Queen." She had a history of over-sharing, but she found it really interesting. However it wasn't as interesting as what the winged male had been going on about before.
"So you're a ninja? What's a ninja? What's your name?" She also tended to get ahead of herself and barrage people with questions. She was far too curious by nature. Sadiki sighed his disapproval and gave her a sidelong glance which seemed to be easily ignored. "Nami..." He started, but this set off a lightbulb in her head, as she made a small 'o' before interrupting her human brother. "Oh yes, people call me Nami for short, you can too if you want." The fact that nicknames were normally used by close friends and those who knew you well was lost on her, she just thought everyone did that with names.
Sadiki felt a little uncomfortable, Ayanami was always quite trusting and he'd tried time and time again to curb her enthusiasm but it was pretty much impossible. The male seemed to be a bit put off and he worried it might have been his fault, but couldn't bring himself to apologise. He was being stubborn, he had wanted to go do something else but now he couldn't leave his sister alone with this stranger. A Jack of Hearts though... and young like them, which meant he was probably the child of other royals so he Should be trustworthy... Still.
Happy with the concept of new company, the doe had enough boldness in her to bump her brother with a knowing smirk. "Sadiki stop being weird and be happy, now we can really do something fun. He was on an adventure, right?" She looked back expectantly at the male and waited for him to elaborate.

Andrei stared at the girl. It didn't really bother him that she spoke a lot. He could be quite a motormouth if he wanted to, too.
"My name is Andrei. And a ninja is, um, a guy who does sneaky stuff," he actually had little concept of what a ninja actually did, "Oh, and um, I have two Daddies and one Mommy. Mommy and Little Daddy are both Kings of Hearts and Big Daddy is a Queen of Spades. You have neat eyes, Nami. Look, I have a gem in my head!" he pointed at the blue stone embedded in the center of his forehead, "but I don't have special feet like you, I only have this on my chest and it sometimes scares people who don't know me." He pointed at the marking on his chest that only looked like a bleeding wound. He watched the interaction between the two siblings, humongous ears rotating back and forth between the two. He was about to say something to the boy when the next thing Ayanami said made him light up.
"Yes! I was on an adventure!" he squealed, jumping up and down in place, completely forgetting he'd considered them potentially the enemy before. "Would you like to join me?!"

She smiled as he spoke, happy that someone would entertain her without telling her to be quiet or to go away. Though it was mostly Sadiki who did that... and random people she didn't know well who she sometimes tried to talk to. "Andrei, that's a nice name." She commented, listening about the ninja part with curiosity. "I think I might be a ninja too, and I think Sadiki is sometimes, though not as much." This was awesome! She was learning things about herself she hadn't even known before!
"Oh you do! I love blue, it's very pretty. And thank you..." She blushed bashfully at the compliment, honestly she'd never received one on her eyes before. People tended to avoid talking about it, the one time someone had brought it up she'd been very confused when her mommy had glared at the man. She realized she was different, but that was okay she guessed, nobody disliked her for her looks (not that she knew of anyway). Her feet were bothersome sometimes, just because she had to be extra careful or they really hurt. Somehow, glass actually had feeling, or maybe it was her ankle that hurt. "Can I touch it?" Before the male could answer, she nudged the marking with her nose, and then blinked before grinning. "Does it hurt? What does it do?"
Sadiki stared at the two with a very confused and awkward expression. Why this male wasn't running for the hills while he still could, Sa didn't know. Once befriended, Ayanami was almost impossible to get rid of... and all she ever did was ask questions... so... many... questions. It was impossible to shut the girl up. He was happy for the distraction when it came, an adventure was starting to sound better and better. "Yeah lets go set stuff on fire or something." He responded hurriedly, starting to walk off ahead.
"I would love to! What kind of adventure is it?" Her eyes seemed to shimmer more when he spoke though they rarely relayed a lot of emotion, mostly just reflections of light. Her brother's comment made her gasp and shake her head, "Sadiki! You're not supposed to do that anymore!". She giggled, turning to the winged mix and whispering excitedly, "He can snap his fingers and set things on fire, it makes people really angry sometimes." which was entirely too true.

Andrei wiggled his nose, sniffing the girl when she nudged her nose against his marking. She smelled kinda pretty. Then he turned to look at the boy. What did he smell like?
"Umm, it doesn't really do anything except look like that, I guess. But... you might be a ninja, too? That's so cool! And him, too? We can be ninjas together!" Then the boy spoke. Set stuff on fire? He was quiet for a while, not entirely sure what to think about that.
"Ummm.... okay... I can't do anything like that..." he wished he could, though! So many other people's powers he was jealous of... all of his siblings could summon a familiar, but he had to borrow Mommy's if he wanted ta have one, too, and now this guy could make fire with the snap of his fingers?! He left out his approval when the girl said he wasn't allowed to do that anymore.
"Um... I was on an adventure to find my brother, Lieutenant Sasha."

She smiled obliviously, not noticing that she'd been sniffed when inspecting the bat mix. Not that she'd probably have cared, the girl was quirky enough in her own way that she didn't really pass judgment on others in that respect.
"Yeah what are the odds? Alright! We will be." She grinned again and noticed her new companion's awkwardness at the concept of her brother being able to set things on fire at a whim. Oh there were limits, he couldn't set like... really big stuff on fire, just little things. But she wasn't going to let him because he gave mother headaches when he did, as normally someone found them and told her.
"Neither can I, people say I'm really weak so I need someone to protect me." She blushed at this, dipping her head down in embarassment. "But I still make a good ninja!" Instantly she perked again and turned to watch her brother starting to walk away.
"So where is Lieutenant Sasha? Oh wait... if you knew that, we wouldn't be looking for him. Okay well, where haven't you explored yet? Let's go that way!" So long as it wasn't outside of the palace, she wasn't allowed out too often unless it was very nice out, or else she'd probably get a cold. It was a bit annoying being so delicate.
"It's a good thing you have me to protect you, you two do the hunting and I'll save you if anyone catches us." It was an innocent-sounding statement, but Sadiki knew his powers were fairly potent, and when he was in a bad mood he was much more likely to use that to his advantage. Something about stirring up trouble and playing pranks just always made him feel better.

He nodded at the girl explain her condition. Weak? Did that mean she was a Damsel in Distress? He'd never met one of those before, but he knew all great adventurers had to meet and save one at some point. He should tell Sasha when they found him.
"Well, um, I've looked..." Where had he been looking? He'd gone to many rooms and delivered a lot of monologues, but hadn't really been paying attention and so he couldn't remember. "I haven't look in the armory yet... Sasha likes to look at all the weapons and armor and maps and stuff."
He gave a little hop to catch up and switched to using his wings to walk. It was very uncomfortable, but it was faster than his awkward bipedal walk.
"Um, I'm pretty strong, too," he informed the human boy, "I can hunt and protect people at the same time!" Quite a feat indeed.
