Oh, he liked that the claws get right through the thick for to the skin below. Most people just pet or touched him lightly, not realizing that there was so much more to the thickness of his fur and skin than anyone else's. The boy let his tail wag freely as he was scratched. He let out a playful growl as his mohawk was ruffled, then he shook himself off and looked at Mo. Did this mean they were going to play-- oh, his face was really close.
...Show him what he did when he was caught?
"well, uh," he racked his brain. What did he do? "I suppose it depends on who catches me." He never actually thought to lie to get himself out of trouble. Well, not any more, anyway. He was a Club and therefore was always guilty, whether he actually was or not. He figured if he was going to always be punished, he might as well enjoy whatever is was he was being punished for.
"Hang on," he closed his eyes, trying to imagine strongly the last time he was in trouble, exactly what he felt. When he opened his eyes again, he assumed the position, pretending Mo was the one who caught him. His ears were back, his tail was tucked under, and his back was slightly hunched. His front legs were retreating like he was going to run away at any minute. The corners of his mouth dropped slightly and his yellow eyes widened as his eyebrow ridge rose and knit together. He was pitiful and fairly adorable at the same time. Combined with his natural cuteness and puppy pudginess, it had quite the effect. In the 'battlefield', it bought him enough time to slip away to the protection of his mother... granted, she was hard in her punishments, but at least she didn't physically abuse him more than the occasional slap.
"Or at least I think that's it. I usually don't pay attention to what I'm doing, since I have to be worried about getting kicked sometimes."

He hadn't quite learned the meaning of gentle yet, so it was probably fortunate that Hadrian did have such thick fur, long, unretractable claws could be a pain in social interactions sometimes. It would sink in eventually, as Dysthymia was often on the other end of such interactions, but for now he didn't completely register them. He did, however, enjoy the pleasant wagging of the boys tail... canine's were so easy to read!
He regarded the boy carefully, head tilted, one ear perked whilst the other sat in a neutral position and a grin on his face.... his expression did become a bit more serious as the coyote demonstrated for him. He didn't move his body, but he did crane his neck to take in the body language and such, not bad but to... hum, he couldn't quite find a word for it.
Not bad, but try relaxing your front limbs a bit, drop your chest all the way to the ground and loosen up your face a bit... unless you can give a good lower jaw quiver..... a lot of adults are suckers for those.
Facial expressions were a forte of his... but hey, what else could he really do when he was bored and had no one to entertain him?
At the comment about being kicked, he wrinkled up his nose. No one ever kicked him, maybe at him.... but never actually him.
If someone kicked me... I'd bite them.

[GAK! Sorry, for whatever reason I thought it was your turn. XD ]
Hadrian did as instructed. He felt a little awkward manufacturing his reaction like this, but he did it. He wished he could see himself in a mirror or something. It had just occurred to him that he had no idea what he looked like begging for forgiveness. He came up out of the pitiful position, a smile returning to his face and his tail lifting again.
"Well, they don't kick me very hard," ...well that was only partially true. The kid didn't seem to realize that he just didn't bruise very easily, "...but I..." ...Why do I tolerate that? "It's not important... are we ready to do stuff now?!" he was practically bouncing with excitement with the sudden change of subject. Oho, he was ready!
Hopefully they would finish having fun before Mom found them. That would suck if she found him sooner. Well, at least she didn't have the problem with Lowlanders that Dad did.

The weasel mix rocked back on his haunches and sat up, appraising the boys expression from a higher vantage point and really .... the young canine was utterly adorable. That look was nearly perfection.... if only he quivered his jaw! If he could just teach hi that ... .well.... it might even sway his parents a bit! Maybe ...
His grin changed to one of childish glee and he clasped his paws together in delight. This action would probably make him look rather comical, but he didn't care ... he was pleased and Hadrian should know it! His voice reflected into his voice as he spoke to.
Aha, perfect! Do that next time you get in trouble and you should see some results!
At the query about whether or not they'd be making mischief soon, he couldn't help but chuckle, so impatient! Oh well, he was getting a little antsy as well, and ... .well.... he needed a little fun. He curled his body forward, clawed paws touching the ground once more. He got back up onto his paws, tail curling behind him as he made a lazy circle around the other boy grinning all the while.
With that out of the way ... .certainly! Come on!
With that said he went into a funny little trot, pausing at the edge of the alley to peer back and make sure the canine was following.

The young Coyote felt instantly gratified at the Lowlander's show of pleasure. He did something right! He gave and yip and ran around himself in a circle, tail wagging.
"I will!" he proclaimed proudly and excitedly. He would do his new friend proud! He gave another yip when the weasel mix bounded ahead. He jogged to catch up, tail held high and tongue flapping in his open mouth. Hadrian watched with curiosity at the strange way the Mustelid ran. Must've been something to do with the long body and short legs. Trotting along side the older boy, Hadrian stopped when Morpheus did. Their faces almost met when Morpheus looked back to check up on him. Getting excited and playful, Hadrian nipped the other boy's whiskered nose with playful innocence.
"Why'dja stop?"

The display of cheerful excitement pulled a laugh from the weasel mixes throat that was somewhere between a chuckle and a giggle. No, he couldn't never claim to be all that 'manly', but really ... he didn't care about things like that ... and never would. He'd much rather be strong in mind then body ... but that was neither here nor there. He wanted trouble dammit.
When he turned he was rather surprised to find his nose so close to the other boys and it surprised him enough to cause the the fur along his spine to bristle. But that wasn't the end of his surprise for he was nipped! He blinked several times, whiskers moving forward and ... no words came out of his mouth for a moment. No one .... had ever done that and it was ... well... weird, but he wasn't the type to be caught speechless for to long even if it wasn't exactly on the same fluency level as usual.
I ... .uh ... was making sure you were following. No worries about that now ... let's head east a few streets and pick out our first victim there.
His fur returned to it's place, not quite as smooth as it had been before but at least it wasn't sticking up anymore, and then he turned his head and set his body into motion again. As long as the boy didn't say anything about his odd, arched back manner of running he'd think nothing of it as he scurried down the street, sticking close to the wall in hopes it would make travel faster and make his easier to follow as well.
It'd be difficult to speak while in motion down a crowded sidewalk so he didn't until they reached precisely where he said they'd be going. It wouldn't take much looking to spot the perfect target either. Just across the street was a rather meek looking mouse bi-ped with glasses that was already having a hard time balancing a mixture of books, some rolled up scrolls and a few other things .... oh how easy it would be to pick on him ...
But he wasn't alone today, and Hadrian deserved to have a bit of input.
How about him?
And with that he tilted and nodded his head in the mouse's direction.

Hadrian cocked his head to the side and made a "Hrr?" noise as he closed his mouth. Why was Mo acting weird like that? He just stood there for a few seconds, twitching his whiskers and looking back at him. There was complete silence between the two until Mo spoke up again. Hadrian thought it was a touch strange that he wasn't speaking with the same confidence as he was before, but dismissed it as they set off again. ...Come to think of it, there was a servant or two back in the Court who were Mustelids who ran kinda like that. It looked really funny.
Hadrian stopped by Mo and looked to the potential victim. His panting mouth turned into a grin when suddenly... a blond, ponytailed human popped into his head. Suddenly, he didn't feel quite right about picking on this Mouse.
"Eh... he, uh... doesn't seem like, uh... too easy of a target to you?" he really wasn't very good of an articulator, especially when he was attempting to lie about his motives. He felt a little pang of guilt calling someone who just reminded him of Bernard an "easy target".

Oh he was enjoying the myriad of ideas running through his head over what could be done to someone who just seemed to scream 'pick on me' as the mouse had. He'd always enjoyed picking on the bookish sorts, they were the least likely to counter... at least his experiences had taught him that. It wasn't like the spade court had someone as adept in magics as Bernard was after all. And that's precisely why the canine's response completely floored him mentally.
He turned his head, his expression the type one would give to someone who was completely mad ... and he held it for a moment. Too easy or a target? Did those actually exist?
After the initial ... 'shock' of the matter wore off those pointed ears would be pinned against his head and his expression shifted to one of agitation. He did, however, bite back the snort he wanted to blow in the canine's direction .... that just wasn't very ... Queen-like after all.
Well then... what kind of target would you suggest?
His smile was gone, and the emphasis he put on the word 'you' was a little snotty .... but he was trying to be at least a little nice here ... just a little.

He felt really bad for putting a halt on the fun. Everything had such a great flow until he decided to open his big yap, but... he just couldn't get himself to pick on this guy. The mouse was too innocent... and since he reminded him of Bernard, all the sad things he'd heard about the magician when Mom and Dad didn't think the kids were awake... he just couldn't do it.
"I, uh, well..." the attitude he got back took him off-guard, though. He felt embarrassed and it muddled his thought as he tried to quickly find an alternative.
"A Highlander!" he yipped quietly. They were often so overly proud! Any reaction from one of them had to be just hilarious! "It can't be hard to find one, right? Those guys make the best faces when they're mad!" There was something a little strained about his voice, but he got the suggestion out there.
