Ah, what a wonderful day to be in the Capitol! The chipmunk found himself strolling down the streets of the Capitol, banded tail swaying a bit behind him as he walked and hummed a bit to himself. He'd decided to use his day off and be productive, running a few errands and well ... he wanted to enjoy himself a bit as well. He turned his head to nod a greeting to a cheerful looking Morganberry who had done so first when he bumped his shoulder into something soft and fluffy that smelt rather good. He immediately stopped and turned his attention to the person who he'd potentially run into and dipped his head to her apologetically. I'm terribly sorry miss, I didn't hurt you did I? He perked his notched ears forward and tilted his head to the side, a little bit of concern crossing his features. Oh he'd just feel terrible if he'd accidentaly hurt her ...

Isolde was in a haze; she had just found out that Aurelius was falling for her and she had no idea what to do about it. She loved Aurelius but not in the way he wanted her to. She saw him as more like a friend type with some added benefits but she had a feeling that it wouldn't be good enough for him. She really should have been paying attention while she walked because she accidentally bumped with a cute chipmunk. " I'm perfectly alright, in fact it was probably my fault anyway. Thank you for stopping to check you" she smiled her most charming smile. So she was a terrible flirt, the girl could afford it with those looks. At least she wouldn't sleep with anything that walked... she had standards ya know. Though she may make an exception for the chipmunk, he was her type: the strong and rugged looking type. Yum.

His notched ears made their way forward as he studied her for a moment, selkie with a hint of something else, if the purple was any indicator.... and a coon deer? That was a bit odd but she wasn't lowland... therefor he wouldn't be rude. She seemed like a nice girl anyhow... maybe he could have a bit of company for the afternoon? the city was a little dull by yourself and he had no earthly clue where Lachlan was... probably out on a job if he knew the tiger well enough.
Well, let me make it up to you anyhow. Have you had lunch yet m'dear?
It was lunch time, right? Well, either way he was hungry and intended on grabbing a bite to eat anyhow, and maybe some iced coffee as well. Food was just more enjoyable when it had conversation to go with it and it usually smoothed over any frustrations ... so if she was angry and was just hiding it... well ... lunch would fix that, right? He wiggled his little banded tail as he waited for her answer.

Isolde smirked to herself; trap set and baited. BAM, she was good. It took a bit of skill to get a guy to ask you out to lunch but luckily it came naturally to her.
"Why I would love to have lunch with you" she cooed reaching out her paw to touch his. Lunch with him would at least get her mind off of things.
"There's a nice little diner just around the corner if you would like to go there?" she inquired. She loved going to Johnny's, she had been a patron there for years. Though her friend (the owner) had passed she still made a point in going to visit as often as she could.
She blushed realizing that she hadn't properly introduced herself yet. She was many things but rude was never one of them. "My name's Isolde, feel free to call me Issy if you'd like" she smiled.

He twitched an ear into an odd angle when she touched her paw to his but chose to ignore it, some women were just the touchy sort. Suits he'd even seen men like that ... but they were much harder to ignore. His little tail, however, did stop it's movements but he kept a pleasant expression on his face.
Ah yes, where are my manners? I am Jarvis and it's a pleasure to make your acquaintance miss Isolde.
So she had a place nearby in mind huh? Well that was terribly convenient and it would eliminate the possibility of him picking a spot that rubbed her fur the wrong way. It also meant he could eat sooner and get back to his personal errands and return to the court before dinner ... hopefully.
Sure, it makes things much easier really. Lead the way.
A little smile crossed his muzzle, not broad enough to display his ... unnatural fangs but definitely big enough to not seem forced or, well, rude.

Isolde pouted a bit on the inside that her advances had gone ignored but soon brightened. "Jarvis, it's nice to meet you" she got up gently and gestured for him to follow. "This way it's not far... It's just down the way."
It took them about five minutes before they arrived and Isolde cheerfully walked through the door calling over the waitress. She knew just about every worker here so she knew they would get good service.
"Hey Greta, how are you beautiful?"
"ISOLDE! Well hello darlin, haven't seen ya in awhile. You know, bobby's workin today...." she laughed as they both waved to the cute cook. "So that'll be two today?" she asked curiously. She had a way of getting information without actually having to ask.
"Yes Greta, my new friend Jarvis and I just stopped in for a bite." she poked. She wasn't about to give in to her friends nosiness this time.
"Well right this way then, MISS Isolde" Greta poked back as she led them to a table.

This girl was a little odd but he had run into her and he had asked her to lunch, even if a little voice somewhere in his head was telling him that was quite possibly a bad idea on second thought. Something subtle about the way she moved and such hinted to him that perhaps she was taking his kind off the wrong way but he wasn't certain and it would be quite rude to bail on her so ... he'd just continue on. He was still hungry after all.
Even better!
He trotted along behind her, olive eyes scanning his surroundings all the while. He knew this street, and, upon reaching their destination, he knew he'd passed this place about a hundred times in the past without a second glance. But she did seem to be adamant about it's quality so he'd follow her in and greet the horribly unprofessional woman with a smile and a dip of his head. He wanted to frown at her behavior, being the type to take work seriously, but he didn't, it wasn't his place to judge after all.
He hopped up onto a chair and peered over at Isolde, flipping a notched ear forward.
What do you recommend?

Isolde followed after Greta and seated herself in the spot closest to the door. To be honest, she was getting kind of bored. This guy had plenty of chances and he hadn't even hit on her once... there was something wrong with that. At least with Sabe, they had agreed to be friends after they slept together... a few times. She was hit with a sudden hint of sadness as she thought of Sabe. His sudden absence had made the house cold and lonely. All the guys in the world couldn't fill that void for her.
She shook herself out of those depressing thoughts and tuned back into Greta spouting off the specials. "I'll just have my usual Greta and Jarvis, they make really good burgers here to be honest. I would say the best in the Capital" she grinned. She loved promoting the place, it was a shame that they didn't fix it up to get more customers in... she would do her best to bring business in but she could only do so much really.

And he wouldn't hit on her at all either, she just wasn't attractive to him in the least bit and he'd been trying to be rather nice about that little fact as well. She looked bored though, an expression he'd seen upon many a stranger's face when they were around him, apparently being a polite little gentleman was boring ... whatever.
I think I'll have whatever it is she's having, she seems to know this place well ... I'll trust her.
He grinned, making sure that his fangs remained concealed and he turned his gaze back to the selkie mix across from him once more and tilted his head to the side ever so slightly.
So what brought you out and about today Miss Isolde?
It was probably best to at least attempt to make a conversation with her, it wouldn't be at all proper to just sit and not say a word, especially since this had been his idea.
