"Those guys are always weird and angry at each other," Jak agreed in a whisper, grinning. They were funny to watch sometimes if he took it all as a big game. It didn't matter who the brown or green ones were - if they were that type of brown and that type of green, they just never seemed to like each other. There must have been rules to the game that nobody else knew about, since they didn't usually get other people to play along. It was one reason he tried not to take either of those colors very often, since he didn't know the rules and he couldn't play along. Only when he went to get pies from the cat-lady did he ever take part-brown.
Oh. Were they betting, then? "Might be fun to watch," he agreed in a whisper. "I wonder which side's going to win this time?" He edged closer, standing over his brother and looking through a different crack in their defensive junk-shield. They could see through certain spots of it, but it never looked like much to anyone else.

Amhalghidh didn't quite understand what the deal was between those two colors of people either, but it provided him with a great deal of amusement. Always a predictable source of fun.
"Yeah," he said almost breathlessly, tail twitching in further excitement. When were they going to start already? "Lots of fun." Twitch. Flick.
Then one of the rotting brown ones pushed one of the green ones. Amhalghiagh's front feet padded the ground as he stood in place, a clear sign of his excitement. He began purring, whiskers twitching as his mouth spread awkwardly into a smile.
"Yeah, sure, let's take a bet," he smirked, "I bet a meal that isn't free pies that there will be enough money on the dead bodies to get a meal." He hoped there were more green ones left behind. They tended to have more money than the brown ones.

His brother looked a lot calmer about the whole skeleton-tail thing now, and a lot more agitated about the fight outside. It was a smirking, purring kind of agitated, though, so that was okay! He looked like he was having fun.
Jak grinned and hunkered down next to him, the biped form he'd taken awkward when kneeling. "Huh. Yeah, okay. And I bet there'll be enough money on at least one left alive that we can take to get a meal, too." Those brown ones could be quick sometimes. He'd seen them move really fast. They usually smelled bad and they were never really happy-looking. It made him twitch sometimes, thinking about it. At least their little games with the green ones got them excited about something?
He glanced over again at Amhal and grinned even wider at the twitching whiskers. So long as he didn't run out and spoil the game for the others, they could go and 'clean up' with no problems.
