As was the usual lately, he was in the capitol. But this time around he hadn't been shoved out the door! He'd gotten so very bored inside their house, what with momma being terribly busy and his siblings being as boring as usual, and just needed to get out for awhile. The Capitol always had tons of people and things to see as well. He really was starting to love the city. Hurry up Kat, so we don't get separated! His brother wasn't exactly as street smart as he was and he was worried that he might get lost. He'd been educated by his mother on some of the awful stigmas cards had against lowlanders to try and protect him, and his siblings, and he couldn't it. Brokat was the only one of the trio that was fully lowland and he didn't want anyone to pick on him ... especially not with how sensitive he was.

The larger of the two boys was following the more brightly colored one and looking well, a little nervous. His tail wasn't held up at all and swayed with every step he took and his little rounded rodent ears were twisted part of the way back ... the city made him nervous and it definitely showed. But his brother had convinced him to come with him and, well, he didn't wants to see the fire winged puppy get in trouble, or hear about it later when he got home actually. You walk to fast, slow down. But he new his autumn colored brother wouldn't and picked up his pace, talons clicking on the cobblestones. He could feel people looking at him and he tried to ignore it ... but it still got to him. He moved a little faster and caught up to the smaller puppy, sticking close to his side for comfort.

It had been a rather relaxing day in the capital, he was done with his deliveries and paying some bar tabs that he and Isolde had ran... it would seem that they had visited more bars than he remembred. He gave a sigh as he felt his coin purse lighten... He mumbled to himself as he walked out the door not really paying attention to where he was going. As he stepped out he felt something warm and had just enough time to trip over the cub that ran underneath him. He gave a mighty "oof" as he hit his beak on the groun rather hard. He knew that he had probably just bruised his jaw. He clammred back up using his wings for suport as he got back up... he turned quickly to the cub that he had tripped over. He instantly notted that it was a lowlander. He sighed with the bad luck that he ran into... He gave a sigh and helped the cub up also. "Ye be ok, dar cub?" he asked not noticing the darker brown that was quickly approching. He noiticed with a slight amusement that his feathers matched the autume quite well. The maroon with the bright reds didn't look to bad.

He rolled his orange eyes at his brother's half hearted complaint, really .. .he wasn't moving fast he was just going his normal pace. His flame hued tail was up and waving from side to side as he moved in a pleasant manner, he really was enjoying himself. Well, until something hit him in the side and bowled him over, making him give a surprised yelp as he found himself on the ground. Suits, what was that?
He stayed curled up in a little ball for a moment before peeking out from under a paw ... only to find himself being picked up moments later. He still had no idea who had him, or what was going on, so he decided it was best to flip his ears back, wag his tail and peer up at the .... avian with his best 'I'm a cute little puppy, please don't hurt me' expression. And it seemed to work!
Yeah! You scared me though ...

He had a feeling he was going to be very tired when the two of them got home, but he didn't voice this opinion and just tried to keep up. His gait was rather ... odd and all of his feet splayed out as he moved. He was the biggest of the trio and the most noticeably awkward as well. Then again he was just awkward in geenral.... not quite wolf, not quite rat and not quite eagle either ... even he thought he was strange.
Cas ... where are we ...
His question was cut short by the fact that someone had just tripped over his brother and stopped, surprised. It was usually him that someone tripped over and he was a little glad that Casanova got to see how it felt but at the same time ... he was worried about his brother. A soft whine escaped his muzzle beak and, seeing that Cas was unharmed, he chose to stay a few feet away from the strange and watch him wearily, ears flopped down to the side.

He looked to the stunningly bright and cheerful lowlander cub. It startled him slightly that some times that the lowlands produced some brillant looking suits.... Though it was his markings that gave way to the fact that he was what he was... though who was to say that someone couldn't aspire to grater hights?
"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to be scary." he looked at the bones showing through the fur... he sighed... he had too big of a heart. He stood up to his fullest hight, which was when he saw the larger cub, scared looking, He looked down his beak at the cub, which didn't look to much like any one breed to call his own. Sabe was happy that he was considred a true breed. As far back that he could remember, they where all harons. So he had no idea how it woud be, to be something more.
"Ye two be hungry? I know I be... umm... so long as ye don't mind eating outside?" he said as he rubbed his belly showing that he too was quite hungry.

Nova didn't usually have any troubles at all with his lowland heritage, he wasn't rotting and the markings from that realm made his coat just that more stunning. Really most people thought his coat was gorgeous and he'd even been told once that he'd grow up to be a rather fetching boy. And his wings? Well, the fact that they were made of pure flame seemed to intrigue people all the more ... and it certainly helped that he was a rather cheerful, rather social pup to boot.
We have picnics all the time with mama and Ilana.
His tail picked up it's pace as he watched the heron, a cheerful little grin spreading over his muzzle. He would have forgiven the bird for tripping over him anyhow .... but food was a rather welcome apology. They had left before lunch so .... he was hungry now that the idea had been placed in his head.

Brokat wasn't to happy with this situation and wished his brother wasn't such a social butterfly that seemed to magnetize strangers to him. Then again, he craved attention but ... it was so much easier to just sit back in the shadows and blend in and not get noticed ... even if it did make him a little sad. And then the heron noticed him and he swallowed hard and dipped his head down into a submissive position. He may have been an eight but ... he certainly wasn't a confident one.
C-Cas ... we don't ... know him though. Y-you know what mama says about... s-strangers.
On days like this he was certain he was the only one of the trio that actually listened to what their mother had to say. But ... if his brother went then he'd be obligated to go and watch out for the puppy ... even if every part of him was screaming that this was a bad idea.

The haron thought about it for a moment, and even lifted his tallon to his beak... thinking. Or atleast to show to the cubs that he was in deep thought. He gave a few hmm... and hrmms... and finaly he snapped his two tallons together as if he had a impifinay. He peered at the two cubs with a big smile.
"Ye be right brown cub, and ye, red cub, your right also, picknicking is loads of fun" he said compleatly agreeing to the pair. Picknicks where fun and cubs and kits shouldn't talk to strangers, so he made sure that he would fix all that up, "So we be not strangers, I be Sabe, ye be...?" he gave that long silence at the end to emphasize the fact for them to insert their names.
He knew that these cubs would be quite the charmers in the future, even the fuggly looking one could grow into a charming looking creature, he just needed to live up to his suit. He gave a weary sigh... things would go well for him if he just became as social as his little brother.

Triangular ears perked themselves forward and his head cocked its self o the side as he listened to the heron, tail taking a momentary break from it's thumping. A grin spread over his muzzle soon after the introduction and his tail began to wag again .... this solved everything! Well ... in his book. You didn't know a stranger's name, did you?
He straightened himself up and placed a paw on his chest, trying to make a good introduction for himself.
I'm Casanova, and the big scardy cat over there is my brother, Brokat.
He grinned mischievously, casting his gaze over his shoulder to his brother as he wiggled his little fire wings and .... stuck out his tongue. Really he wasn't being obnoxious .... he was just trying to lure the big lump of fur and feathers over to actually meet another card face to face ... instead of sitting far away and not truly being a part of the conversation. He was trying to help his brother make a little crack in his shell but ... it was also kind of fun to get under his skin at the same time. That is what siblings did to one another though, wasn't it?
