Next, to get some idea of what kind of character archetypes are available to play, please visit the Regions post, the Breeds post, and the Ranks post for character-specific generalities. Keep in mind that not every character has to fall within the limits of these descriptions, but please remember when playing that these descriptions encompass the stereotypes of the world and shed light on how someone may see your character.

Aside from Rank, you're going to want to look into how Suit is going to affect your character's lifestyle and habits. It may have a huge impact on where your character will want or be able to live in society, and what they may aspire to become. By strolling through some of the past pickup threads, you may have noticed that some characters have the ability to change shapes. Most Cards are capable of this, some more so than others, and it is not done at random. It is dictated most often by points that you gain through roleplaying with your Card. Points are the heart upon which this roleplay system is based and, in order to advance your character, you will need to acquire either assigned or unassigned points. Some purchases differentiate between the two types.
