He never imagined that it would take that much pleading and arguing with his mother to get him to agree to let him travel on his own. Father had been the easy target, the rat-eagle needed much persuasion and logic and ... well, logic wasn't exactly his strong point. What he had done right though was get his banders trained enough to be awesome travel companions and that, and some persuasion from Anatolius, had been what finally made Tavor crack and let him go. Torquehelm seemed like a fairly good place to start, even if it was a little too close to The Wood for mother's liking ... he'd just need to get over it is all. Besides, soon enough he and his siblings would be gone except for visits... then what would mama do? Probably have a spazz attack... But he was quite happy to be here even it was a desperately gloomy place ... he fully intended on being a little ray of sunshine whilst he was here and he wasn't going to let some gloomy cards bring down his cheer. He flipped a red-lined ear and peered back, checking on Xanthus and Orlaith before continuing his prance like walk down the street, flame colored tail curled over his back and waving side to side idly as he walked. Now all he needed was someone even remotely interesting looking to make an appearance.... The two yellow banders followed along behind their flame-winged master, each with a little pack attached to their backs. The female didn't look quite as amused as the male did but she didn't make any move to protest ... she just happened to look more then a little annoyed.

Interesting is not a way that perth would have described himself, however he did stick out a bit in the lack of a crowd. He had just exited his shop and was fumbling with the key to the lock in his jaws... It didn't take terribly long for him to close it up though, which was rather remarkable considering the fact that his two front limbs were chained together so tightly. He had actually managed to set up a regular schedule where a few family members, or friends would take over running the store during his random excursions to other realms, it made him feel much better about the whole deal... Less lost customers, and less stress on people that might have otherwise been too busy to cover for him. This time he didn't have a destination though, and wasn't entirely sure whether he was going to go travelling... His train of thought was thoroughly derailed whne he turned around to see that there was a odd pup standing in the middle of the road... /on fire/. now... That was a bit new. After a second or two he closed his mouth, accidentally dropping the key on the ground... Ugh, he shuffled abit as he nosed at it, seeing of he could scoop it up without eating dirt. It was.. kind of pathetic, but you couldn't blame him for trying. Although this did mean he wasn't paying attention to the tourist, atleast for the moment.

Boring, boring, boring, boring .... there just wasn't anyone around to make this place not, well, boring. He was just about to give up and head to the hotel he'd made reservations at well, Tavor made the reservations for him.... he hadn't really thought about it actually. He sighed lightly before he caught sight of some movement. Red lined ears swiveled forward. tail waved a little faster and, soon enough, his pace picked up a bit as well. The long, horned stranger was officially in his sights and not going to be able to get away easily ... well, that was more true then he initially thought. Those bindings were just... well they looked horribly annoying actually. The .... long critter probably hadn't run a day in his life and that made him a little sad. There was nothing he loved more then just running full speed until he couldn't go any further.
When he got super close he was able to see that the critter was attempting to get a dropped key .... with his mouth, out of the dirt... ew. He took a few steps forward and brought forward a paw, hooked part of the key on a dull canine claw, dragged it trough the dirt to the door and used the door to get it fully on that claw so he could dangle it there and offer it up to the first person he'd seen since he arrived. Well, minus the people at the carriage station ... thing.
Here you are.
He offer the man a smile and a friendly wag of his flame colored tail.
