Tavor had long since settled into living in Corvistowne, and especially with the two who had been so kind as to take him in. Maxwell and Ophelia were out today, running errands of some sort he was sure, and that left him home almost by himself, Isolde was here somewhere. He was pretty sure she was still asleep, but he hadn't checked so he couldn't be completely sure. He did, however, want the cat and the doe to come home to a neat and orderly place and he had set himself to doing 'chores', but really he loved to do them. He moved about the kitchen at present, straightening things here or there and dusting as well. What he couldn't quite reach with any other part of him he deftly used his tail to dust, not minding at all that the feathered tip would get dirty in the process. He could always just rinse it off later and it was just as it had been before when it dried. He was humming a bit to himself as well, quite content to be cleaning and in the process of totally zoning out as he did.

Isolde was getting used to her life with her grandparents and becoming less upset that her parents didn't want her. She was sitting in the library, reading one of her silly fairy tales about a prince and beautiful princess; kid stuff really... she knew things like that didn't really happen. Still... she hoped for more than what her life offered. Grandma and Grandpa were out today doing this and that and would be gone for awhile. Rather than wake up Tavor, she had snuck into the library to dream away the day. At present, she heard noises coming from the kitchen... weird... like cleaning? Normally no one got around to cleaning the house; most definitely is Tavor... he was good about that. She decided to go say hello and crept into the kitchen quietly. He was wiping down things with his tail... it was just darling. " Hi Tavor!" She said cheerfully. They lived together but they didn't really know each other so well and she had wanted for the longest time to change that. " That is very kind of you to clean like this, Grandma and Grandpa will be very pleased!" She was so happy to have him here with her, he was very helpful and just a complete joy to be around.

He had slipped off into his own little mind space as he often did when he was cleaning, and hadn't really been paying attention to much else. He truly enjoyed cleaning and it made him feel useful, and it was the best way for him to show her grandparents just how much he appreciated their kindness. It was nice not be thrown out on the streets for once, and he was now confident that they wouldn't... but still, he would always feel like he owed them something.
He didn't notice when the other double mix slipped into the room and jumped when she spoke, blushing a bit. It was kind of embarrassing to be caught in your own little world, wasn't it? He ceased his cleaning for the time being, a little smile resting on his muzzle.
Good morning Isolde ... and well.... I enjoy cleaning. It can be fun.
The last little sentence had a little bit of a teasing tone to it, he knew most children weren't like him and avoided cleaning like the plague. He'd always felt comfortable around her though, she was like him after all, only minus the whole being dropped off in the streets factor. It made him happy though that she wouldn't have to live that kind of life, he didn't wish that on anyone.

Isolde came into the kitchen and sat down, smiling at Tavor. She didn't know much about him other than he had suffered hard times and that was why her aunt Xylia had wanted him to live with them. She was a caring soul and could not stand to see another in pain or in trouble which what was made Isolde look up to her. Isolde always wanted to ask her about her mother but never had the nerve.
"Well, I can't speak for everyone but I certainly appreciate what you do here; so... thank you Tavor." She herself was not fond of cleaning but like Tavor she was just glad to have a home so she helped out when she could.
"Is there... something I can do to help? I could... make some lemonade for you?" She offered happily. She had already walked over and gathered the ingredients for herself so it would really not be a bother to make some for him as well.

Tavor's cheeks were just beginning to lose the added color when she went and thanked him, making the flush return full force and he had to look away a moment, a smile on his muzzle. He's always wondered when he'd grow out of that habit, but it was beginning to look as if he wasn't after all. He'd always be a somewhat shy creature, but at least he was easy to please ... it took some of the edge off his mind. He shifted his wings, giving the counter a few more passes with his tail before he turned to face her again, getting his bad, but apparently adorable habit under control. This time he gave her a more genuine smile to go along with his soft words. Lemonade sounds nice, make sure to put some extra sugar in mine... alright? The rat-eagle had a major sweet-tooth but really.... who could resist the delightful flavor of sugar? He limited himself to it though, not wanting the treat to become anything less then enjoyable and practicing quite a bit of self discipline as well. He was that rare type of child, honest, hard working and kind beyond what his looks would suggest. He was going to say something else when Rhoswen all but waddled into the kitchen. The pink and white tabby striped bander had gotten rather portly in her stay at the house, but she had definitely become queen of the beggars and Tavor couldn't resist giving her treats, even though he was trying to limit those now. She made her way over to Isolde and snuffled at her curiously, seeing if she had any tasty little tidbits to share, no doubt. Tavor rolled his eyes and sighed in a melodramatic fashion before speaking again. Just ignore her.... she's almost to round to walk. The bander sneezed in disappointment when she discovered no treats and Tavor chuckled as she made her way over into her basket and flopped down, giving the two of them a very pitiful look and noise to accompany said look.

Isolde was pleased when Tavor had started to blush; she liked him and enjoyed showing it.
"Well lemonade it is then, extra sugar" She smiled.
"I have a sweet tooth too but shh, grandma says i'm not supposed to have it anymore" she said mischievously. The last time she had gone to the dentist, he found a cavity so grandma told her no more candies or sugar in general. As they were talking, a cute little pink bander walked in no doubt looking for scraps.
"Aw Tavor, but she's cute. can't she just have a little bit of something?" She giggled and snuck a piece of bread to the chubby little bander. She pet her and returned to her seat closest to Tavor.
"She's lovely, dear. I hope to get a bander as nice as she is. Perhaps you might go with me to the Capital City sometime? It's oh so fun there, grandma lets me go out there with him sometimes." She smiled.
She really cherished the time she got with him and only wanted to share with Tavor her experiences.

He knew he wasn't the only one in the world with a sweet tooth, but it was good to be reassured of it osmetimes... he'd felt like a freak for far to long and let to many of the little things in. Not to mention utterly silly things, but he was getting better with that. One day he'd be able to mend himself enough to function normally but for now... well, he was just a touch maladjusted and melodramatic. But boy did he try not to show it.
I'll have to roll her down the street instead of walk her one of these days.
He turned away to pull out a couple of the chairs at the table, missing the piece of bread that was snuck to Rozzy but he couldn't miss the happy little noises she made at the youth, which in turn directed his attention back to the two. Well, after he'd hopped up onto a chair and made himself comfortable that is.
I think she likes you.
At the mention of the city he cringed, the city held a lot of bad memories and most of the worst involved trashcans and alleyways. However, he did often wonder whatever had happened to the overgrown rose garden he used to live in... were those frail white roses still going strong? The thought of the roses perked him back up.
Maybe.... the capitol isn't really my cup of tea, then again I might just have to go to keep you out of trouble..
He said it with a teasing tone, but he was being completely serious. He didn't want anything to happen to anyone that had or still did live under this roof. He would protect them all.... someday.

Tavor looked so sad and tragic all the time, Isolde just wanted to hold him to her but she wouldn't. She would comfort him when he told her he needed it, otherwise she would have felt like she were imposing.
"Well at least she will be the cutest chubby bander rolling down that street" She laughed. She kind of reminded her of a little sausage with legs, poor little thing." She smiled to herself from getting away with sneaking bread to the bander.
"Aw, I hope she does because I like her! I badly want a little bander friend of my own... I hope Grandma will let me have one..." She said, her voice trailing off at the last few words.
She noticed Tavor cringe at her mention of the city and she suddenly felt she did wrong bringing it up. She knew he had a hard life living there but she never really knew the specifics. "Well, I certainly would never make you go; I just thought it might be fun to get out of the house..."
"Trouble?" She giggled. "What trouble could I possibly get into, a young girl such as myself" she laughed. She knew exactly what kinda trouble she could run into, not necessarily all her intention either.

The bander's awake time was actually very short, she got up again and snuffed around the kitchen looking for any scraps before she headed back. She did a few circles, adjusting the blanket, and then settled in for a nice nap, softly snoring and all. Really, curled up like she was she looked a lot like a stripy gum-ball. This fact still amused him as much as it had when she'd first discovered that baskets made nice beds.
If you do get one... .don't' fall for that look they give you, spoiled banders turn into sausages... apparently.
He grinned, feeling a bit better. It was always nice to have friendly company and be able to joke around with said friends. Slowly but surely he'd been getting a bit more confident and comfortable in not only his own skin, but around others. He no longer shrunk down into a trembling ball of fur and feathers, that was for sure. No amount of time would every really 'fix' him completely, he'd experienced things so unspeakable to his own mind that he hadn't even shared them with Xylia. That encounter with Se, and the one with him and his brothers... he'd be hard pressed to share those moments ... He still had nightmares about them sometimes.
A pretty little thing like you could get into a lot of trouble actually.
His tone had been teasing and mock overly serious until he's run what he said over again in his mind and voila, there was that blush again. Damn, he really needed to stop doing that. And, well, thinking before speaking might be an excellent idea for the future to help get rid of that dreadfully embarrassing habit of his.

Isolde watched the cute little thing snuggle back into her blanket and fall asleep, this was mostly definitely a moment for squeeling if she ever saw one. She held it in though for fear of waking her up.
"With my spoiling habits, mine would definitely end up a sausage if not worse." she laughed. She was so terrible about spoiling others pets that she couldn't imagine how she would treat her own.
"Though it would be nice to have something there when I have nightmares or it storms. I get scared so easily and am normally to stubborn to call to anyone..." A bander really would soothe her, with their fat little bodies and cute actions... it would be the closest to a best friend she had.
"Pretty? Oh Tavor, do you think I'm pretty? I take the utmost care when out in public and most certainly never get in trouble or talk to strangers!" She teased and giggled when he blushed, he was really terribly cute sometimes.
