He was about to say something before she had slammed the bowl on the table. He guessed they would have to talk over dinner. He moved over to the table and made sure that their was nothing in the chair that he could touch. Nothing was theri so he took his seat and noticed that it was krawdads. Wich wasn't that bad. He personaly enjoyed them... but raw. He reached up with a talon to pull out a single crawdad and took a bite of it.
It seared his mouth for a moment. He didn't expect it to be that hot. But he could tell that she was looking at him so beared his pain and swollowed the krawdad. It did taste... weird... but not bad.
"Umm... this is quite... unqiue." he said blowing on the rest of it to cool it down just a bit more. He would have to let it sit for a moment, so Sabe struck up the same conversation from before.
"My home be not that far away. Maybe a good three or four day flight." he said as he tempted the hot food again... it was still quite hot. He gave a sigh and watched her eat some... which her eating habbits seemed to match her standers of living.
He cleared his throat and waved about him with a wing, "Ye know there is another swamp out their right? I think that ye should get out more. No offece though, but sometimes it is nice to see new and diffrent things." he said with a charming smile... knowing full well that it might not work on her though, but there was always that chance.
He hoped it worked so he continued on, "You know you could meet many more interesting Cards and find many more interesting foods. Like I heard that for all the poisoness plants and such in Yarrow, that they be having some rather good fruits to eat... so long as ye don't eat the skin." he said with a normal tone, he didn't want to imply something else.

Lao had settled down to rest in the middle of the long overly cluttered table, grooming himself or just generally watching Sabe. He'd always been a wary little Tove, but Meecha had merely added on to that paranoia.
With Lao on the look out, Meecha allowed herself a bit of respite from her own paranoia and dug in quite greedily over her meal. It was fresh off of the fire and very spicy but Meecha devoured it as if it were nothing.
"Ah, dat so? Glad you be likin' it den." Meecha was well aware that he probably meant quite the opposite, but she didn't really care. The food was good to her and he shouldn't have come at dinner time if he didn't intend to eat. In fact, people were usually better company when they ate... didn't talk so much.
Of course, there was always an exception to the usual. Such as Sabe's determination to uphold a conversation while she ate.
About things like leaving Her Swamp.
"I know dat dere be oder swamps, bird! Who be sayin' I don't? But dis is da swamp I be born in an' I have no intention of leavin' it! I like what I got tah eat here, and I the poisons in da swamp are just as suitin' of my preference." A trecherous smile stretched over her dark face and revealed yellowed teeth once more. "'Sides, plenty of interestin' Cards come tru here. All sorts of colors and dey're good ta eat too, bird."
Unlike Sabe, Meecha coated her words with suggestive venom. If he was going to push hers, she'd push his back...and add a little heron to her stew as well.

If he could have made a face it would have looked something like this '>...<' . If they could just get off the subject of cooking birds, than dat would be fine. he thought as he looked about, noting the little creature on the table looking at him quite strangly... did it too want to eat him? He gave a shudder at the mental immage that he got from seeing himself being eaten by... what was her name?
He lifted a crawdad head and placed it on the table wondering if the creature would eat it. Ignoring it he turned his attention back to the swamp woman.
"I don't be beliv'in that ye told me ya name, like I said I am Sabe, though if you don't want to tell me ya name, ye could always give me something to call you... I just be finding it akward that I can't call you anything." he said... though the real first words that came to mind where evil and swamp woman.
He decided that the food was nice and cool, though bit spicy it did go down well and had a unique taste to it... he just hoped that their was no other card pices in here... save the crawdads that he had been eating.

Meecha paused for a moment, looking as if she'd just realized they hadn't exchanged names after all. In all reality, she was simply surprised that he'd asked at all. She rarely held a conversation with an Outsider long enough to exchange names and even more rarely did she bother to remember the names of those that came in.
It was like naming your food.
Not that she was beyond doing that. In fact, she thought the li'l crawdad head on the table top made a good Ike. "I be Meecha an' da Slithey is Lao."
The tove sat there for a long moment, studying the head on the table before abruptly darting forward and snagging it up for himself. Meecha watched the tove for a long moment before looking up at Sabe, watching him eat his stew.
"You seem tah know a lot 'bout the Outside, are dere lots of oder regions? ...Lots of red like you?" Meecha liked red, it looked good on her. Blue did too. Sabe's feathers were delightful.

He stopped eating halfway through a crawdad shell, when she told her name and her pets name. Meecha seemed to fit her quite nicely, and Lao was nice also. Exchanging names held a special meaning for the haron, it meaned that they where no longer strangers and where on the path to become something more than just that. Even if it was just aquantances.
He gave her a curt nod of his head and spoke, "It be nice ta meet ya, Meecha and pet silkie Lao." he said as he pushed his now empty bowl twoards the center of the table, where other dishes where set. He wondred if he should wash his own dish or not, but she hadn't moved yet to clean hers so it was up in the air.
"Yes there be many regions out there, twenty to be exact. I have visited almost each. Save these marshes and the glacier. Though the color red could be found in..." he stayed to think for a moment, tapping his talon on his beak, "There is the Morganberry, they have some reds there, and Hisstor wastes have some with red markings, much like a lepored would have." he kept thinking of the more areas that he knew that had the colorations that she was looking for, when it hit him that she might be looking for more coloration scheems for her necklace or something more. He gave a shudder at the ones that he might have just helped kill, but as long as he kept her happy and had things to say that where interesting than he needen't worry too much.
"Than there is where I be from, Kahmden. Though I think that is the only ones that I can think of that would have the most common of colors. Though I have seen some that have come from the Lowlands that do not abide by the normal colors." he said... he just relized that he was now ranting on and on.
"Well Kahmden would be the best bet to find others like myself that have this brilliant maroon color. Though you can find many oddities in the Capital City." he said with a sigh. He noticed now that it was pouring outside... which made him want something to drink... The package started to dig into his shoulder... he hadn't moved it once. So he lowered it carefully on the floor, making sure that he didn't touch a single thing on its way down, before turning his attention back to Meecha. "So what is your reason for wanting to know? Does the color of reds and maroons apease your eyes?" he asked.

(On the way to bed, I apologize for the poor quality of this RP.)
Meecha picked the rest of her bowl cleaned as Sabe explained the regions to her. Twenty? That was a good number of them, but very few had those gorgeous red markings she liked so very much.
"I'd like tah see more of dose Morganberry and Hisstors comin' in here." She knew Morganberry, one of those had wandered in not too long ago and had made a fine meal... not to mention a lovely blanket with all those fiery colors. "Yur Kahmden be a good one, too. Nice coloration ya got, very rich."
As he went on, Meecha merely nodded for a bit. Oddities in the Capital? ...That might be an interesting place to go one day, all the Outsiders had something good to say of it. "Yeah, dey be quite pleasant on de eyes. I like it when ya Kahmden be comin' thru, an' not many of ya region do."
With her stew devoured, Meecha grabbed up the bowls scattered on the table and took them to the sink to be dropped carelessly there. She would clean up the mess later, for now she had to watch the Heron.

((Its ok ;D.. atleaste you replyed tonight, else I would have been terriably boared))
He watched her doing what he took as wasking the dishes... which seemed to be just to toss them in the sink to do later. She must be a very timmid person, he thought as he wathced Leo, wonding if he was going to pounce on him or something... or was he just parinoied?
She seemed to like the idea of meeting new people, even if it was just to eat them or make clothing accessories out of their flesh and bones. He would have just fled if he could, yet the downpour outside restricted flight at this moment, so no flying for him tonight.
He would have to find some way to occupy himself for the time being untill the weather cleared up a bit. No wonder so many told him to stear clear of this region for both the weird folk and the abnormal weather. He gave a mighty yawn and moved slightly in his chair... he was teriably uncomfortable... he never really sat, he would just stand on a single leg or both. It was just natrual for him to lock up his knees and stand in one spot untill he was well rested.
He drew his attention back to Meecha, "Well, the Capital is quite the nice place, even if your looking for the weird things. You can find just about any breed and coloration that you would care to find. Ye should travle there one day." he said as he looked to his package that actually needed to be delivred to the capital. He was on his way there. Maybe he could get her to come with him, to experiance something new.
"Ye know, I just be happening to be going that way. Ye did say you would show me the way out of the bog, no? How about ye come with me to the capital to see if you can find any of your precious colors that ye be needing." he said cautiously, expecting some sort of rebuff from her.

Meecha sneered suddenly, swinging around once more to stare at him. Lao twitched in surprise, crooning unhappily at the hamster's anger. Had she not already told him she had no intention of leaving?
"I already told ya! I dun't plan to be movin' out of mah swamp any time soon. Dis is my home, dis is where I stay."
Lao swung back around, hissing in response to Meecha's anger.
The hamster returned to the table, placing her hands on it's edge. "Ya want me to meet dem? Den be bringin' 'em here instead." There again was that fanged smile, aggressive and frustrated. He was pushing her buttons with her insistence and Meecha didn't find him nearly useful enough to keep him alive if he pushed her buttons the wrong way. "I got no interest in goin' to some City! I'll be takin' ya to da nearest town on yur way out and dat be it."

It wasn't the reaction that he thought he would recive, but he could tell that her ire was rising. It would have seemed that she never wanted to leave the swamp for any reason. He gave a sigh before turning to retrive the flask that he had with him. He pull the cork and took a small swig of the mild ale that was inside, it was rather good right now to have some booze running through his system. Things here where getting rather heated, and required to be defused so, else he would be prepared for the next days meal.
"I be seeing what ye meen. I was just offering to take ya... but I see dat your so adimant to stay here." he said as he placed the flask on the table. It was a rather simple one, just a metel flask with a old fashioned wooden cork. The cork was stained from many years of use, it was a dull brown color and smelled of alcholo.
"Would it be bad of me to offer you some?" He asked motening at the flask on the table. He wanted to get her out of here... it would drive him quite crazy staying in one place for too long. He wished that he could have used his one magical ability to find his way out of here... yet he had used that at the begining of the journey when he thought he was first lost.
Though how will he convince her to get out of the house? He would have to get her talking about her intressests more so he could figure something out, so he peared at the necklace of odd things. It looked quite disgusting and such... he would have not to mentioned it... but it could get her talking about what she liked to do.
"So where did you get all those interesting parts?" he siad with a gulp twoards the organic necklace.

There was plenty of reasons to leave her swamp. Just none that she had found worthwhile. Not yet, at very least. She'd heard from one of her 'visitors' that there was a magician named Bernard in the Court of Hearts that might be interested in her hexes. The information had been intriguing, the person had been bothersome. They were dead and she was still debating that trip out of the swamp...
No time soon though, she was happy where she was.
"If I be leavin', I be doin' it on my own time." She grumbled slightly, moving about her hut in a minor state of agitation. People rubbed her in all the wrong ways, why would she want to go to the City where lots of them could do it at once?
And then the flask clanked against the table and she turned to peer at the silver object he'd presented to her. Was he giving it to her? Or was it something in the flask? Her eyes narrowed. "I dunt want any." It was probably poison, she wouldn't touch it.
She eyed him for a moment when he asked about where she'd gotten her necklace, the skull dangling down around her throat. There was a little black stone hidden in the base of it where Sabe couldn't see, but ...he couldn't see it right? She wouldn't have to worry about him taking it... "My pa made it for me a long time ago before he died." Everyone died eventually, Meecha didn't think much of it.
The only difference was that Meecha's dad wasn't really dead, she just believed he was.
