(( :: Snickers :: I thrive on meanness toward my characters... it makes them who they are XD :: snuggles with her Lowlanders:: ))
While she'd been steadily getting used to the harsh treatment of others in the city, his words still managed to hurt. Tamah wasn't exactly the strongest emotionally, and a part of her very much wanted to abandon her quest and return home... but she couldn't do that. In fact, her lip quivered ever so slightly, as if she was on the brink of tears for a moment before she shifted it to a frown at the bat. She'd made sure to keep her voice accusing, but light, but that was just downright rude. For a brief moment she'd wished the seemingly kind Badger had opted not to assist the stranger whom obviously possessed little to no manners.
It's not contagious, it's simply something my people are born with, and have to live with. However..., and the corner of her maw twisted up slightly in a mildly toothy smirk, We could test that theory. She was joking, of course, but she still wished to see the bat's reaction.
She tilted her head down, giving the young one a genuinely warm smile, she was quite a lovely little person on the inside despite the progression of her natural.... disability.
It's up to you though, if you'd like to take my offer or not. I'm really not as bad as I look, and my skin isn't going to shed on you, or anything here. She glanced up briefly at the bat during that last sentence, almost wishing she could just schlep off some skin, right on him.... make him think he was infect with some horrid, leprous disease, but only for a moment.

Liv shook her head.
"No, I don't need anything. I just thought you could use a nice gesture. Even the nicest people can turn mean if they're having a bad day," she said, smiling, sincerely believing that it was the case with Seth. While she couldn't be more wrong, she just nodded, "Though you should try not misdirecting your anger." [OOC: HURRHURR LET'S MAKE SETH MOAR ANGRY, SHALL WE?! xD] she said, not very critically. She was just trying to be helpful, then got a bit annoyed as she watched him speak for the girl against the Lowlander. The woman stood up for the child against him! Why would she want him to step in the middle of this? Liv watched as the Lowlander fought back some tears, then snap back at him. This was turning ugly. She didn't want to get involved, as she just picked up the book and had nothing to do with this, but she didn't want a fight to break out, either...

The small mouse still looked a little shocked at the attention she was causing. Looking between the Lowlander and the bat she was torn. The bat had meant nothing really mean in his attitude towards her, like badger type creature had said; he was probably only having a bad day. He reminded her a lot of her siblings actually.
Looking at the Lowlander she hated to admit but the creature’s condition was something that was pretty frightful. She was glad to hear that the condition would not be contagious . . . Papa simply would not have a happy field day if she caught something like that. She found herself feeling sorry for the creature. Apparently not too many people liked what she was, though she did have to shamefully admit that she did find herself repulsed by it also.
Trying to seek a peaceful end she offered up in a quiet shyful tone, “How about we all look for it? It will probably be much quicker that way too!”
((OOC: Satra, do you mind keeping ooc comments out of the post itself? It is a little distracting and takes away from the character interaction. Thankies <33))

Seth laughed openly, the sound harsh and carrying over some of his awful attitude towards the Lowlander that he had shown before. He had been so close to making her cry! Of course, that just told him he needed to try a little harder. "So your skin's falling off, you smell like the devil himself, and you're a stupid bint.[/b]" he was really getting into this, and for the moment, both the mouse and badger were completely forgotten. What better way to shove your bad mood aside other than to unload your rage at the world onto a total stranger?
....Okay, so, Seth wasn't the best at dealing with people. He would be the first to admit that, usually in a haze of explitives.
"If you're going to make a threat like that, you just can't start it off by telling me it's not contageous.[/b]" his grin was very full of a large number of pointed teeth, and he could already feel his mood drifting away.
Then Elyse spoke, and his ears flared back. The look he gave her was completely bewildered, and he could feel all of his rage starting to drain away. He liked the girl well enough, and as that was the case he felt entirely unsure of what to say.
"Uhh... Okay.[/b]" he finally muttered, trying to keep some of the disappointment out of his voice.

Had her ears not rotted off long ago they would have been pinned firmly to her skull. It was an odd feeling for the canine to be annoyed, she was generally so caught up in her own fantastic daydreams that she barely noticed the actions of others, however.... well, Seth just rubbed her fur the wrong way. Said fur bristled slightly, but other wise she straightened herself up and made a conscious decision to ignore the bat because everything he said was most definitely a blatant lie and he was nothing more then a... .well, she'd simply drop that thought process cause it didn't help to quell her temper at all.
However she couldn't help but make one comment, her usual spirits coming back to her and her voice was mostly even, but held a bit of a sly undertone to it.
I could be lieing, you never know.
She turned her attention back to the mouse, an apologetic smile resting firmly on her muzzle. She hated it when her temper got to her, but sometimes it just... couldn't be helped.
That sounds like a lovely plan.
