Well, she seemed to be on to something, but he wasn't quite sure what that something was and it brought one brow up ever so slightly and his gaze back to her. He was able to regain his composure while she asked questions and the color on his cheeks remained, but not as bright. He was curious though, and a little anxious now that she'd started listing more symptoms. Well, whatever had all those certainly sounded quite awful didn't it?
He paused, tail taking up a slow but rhythmic twitching once more as he thought about all the things she'd mentioned. A few were crossed off the list right away, but a few others took a bit more thought. Well, now that he thought about it ...
I have had some semi-chronic headaches as of late and ... I believe I have put on a little weight ...
Speaking in an almost flat, semi-professional voice helped keep him from slipping back into the stuttery, embarrassed state but .... why did a little weight gain suddenly make him feel a little off? Looks weren't exactly something he paid a large amount of attention to .. .but it bothered him a little bit. He most certainly did not want to end up looking like his fat lard of a begging bander, that was for certain. |

She was pretty sure that she now knew what he was suffering from. Just one more question to confirm if it was true or not.
From her previous question of an intimate nature she knew that he was a very private person. Trying to cause him the least amount of discomfort she thought on how to breech the next part of the conversation. There was not many ways, if any at all, that would let her tiptoe around the subject. Especially if she wanted to get to the point.
Deciding to face it straight on she gave him a smile. "I know this may seem like an odd question to be asked, but I am afraid that it needs to be. With the last time that you were intimate with someone, is there any chance that you could have become impregnated?"
She was hoping that he would catch onto just what she was asking, not wanting to have to explain any physical aspects of his encounter with another person. There were just some conversations that even a Healer did not like to cover if it could be avoided.

His ears remained perked with oblivious curiosity as she thought over how to phrase her next question. The 'suspense' of his whole time here was beginning to make him start twitching his toes a bit to keep from being rude, he was raised better then that. But the question that she asked froze up his brain for a minute and he didn't even realize at first that he'd let a 'What?' slip from his tongue. Out of all the horrible ailments that had been swimming through his mind ... that wasn't anywhere near, well, any of them.
And it took a minute to grasp the concept.
W-well... I ... I suppose... but ...
Those white ears dropped down to the sides and a bit of color returned to his cheeks, his expression giving away the fact that he wasn't entirely sure how to finish his sentence.
But, on the upside, he didn't have some horrible disease.... that was a plus. |

She was not sure how the winged rat would react to the idea of his being pregnant. From experience she had encountered people who were happy with the news and yet others who had not taken the news well . . . not well at all.
Though he seemed a little shocked by the idea, she found that he seemed at least a little okay with the news. Trying to alleviate any anxiety she continued on after he had finished stuttering.
"A simple urine test, or blood test - whichever you prefer - can determine if you really are or not." She suggested, either would be fairly painless and lead to an immediate answer. "You have all of the symptoms but at this time I can not officially say without a doubt that you are. However, from all that he had said she was sure that this was the case.
