Ira didn't seem entirely aware of even her answer, though the information was filed away into the back of his mind where pretty much everything else went. He liked to collect information; it was probably part of why his Mommy dearest put up with him as a personal assistant. It was doubtful Queen Shinrai would otherwise allow any of his children anywhere near the Courts, especially not his crazy eldest son.
Despite his distracted demeanour, the stallion was very aware of exactly where in town he was and how they'd gotten there. He just didn't actually care. His ears flipped up as they arrived at wot he assumed was her mother's home. Interesting. Still, he carefully followed her up the stairs with the care a hooved creature must and the ease of one well used to having to take such care.
Ira paused for a moment then followed Sae right into the kitchen with curiousity obvious.

Saethre began humming under her breath as she absentmindedly began picking up her mother's kitchen. She did that when she was thinking--cleaned. It was the only time her room (or wherever else she was) was ever remotely picked up, because generally Sae was an absolute slob, but thankfully she had to think often enough that she cleaned a bit.
Just a tad.
After a few minutes of putting away pots and pans and rinsing off plates in the sink, she suddenly climbed up onto the counter and sprawled down the length of it, her head and arms hanging limply over the edge by where he was. "So, here's the thing," She began suddenly, "I want babies. You have the means to get me babies faster than rapist, you're cute, need I say more here?" The otter stared at him with her usual creep-stare, waiting for a reply.

Ira settled down to wait as she began to pitter around the kitchen in a fussily edgy sort of way. It was interesting to watch, especially since he didn't have a real means of washing dishes. Well, he did, but people often seemed to get annoyed when he licked plates clean.
Her sudden decision to lounge on the counter did not faze him nor did her stare. He seemed to accept both as a simple matter of course. It appeared to be rather difficult to throw off this young stallion.
He tilted his head sideways at her, ears forward, and pale eyes calm. "Not necessarily," he replied calmly. "You could find a particularly fertile rapist; it can take only one time for you to get pregnant." He gave a small, knowing nod. "Though I am a much better catch than some silly rapist from the streets." Though he hadn't actually agreed to it, either.

Saethre absently swung her limbs back and forth, humming a tuneless song with an abstract beat, but still managed to keep her body in time with it. It was exactly like the otter to sing a song that made no sense. When he tilted his head she mirrored his motion exactly, then listened attentively. "I could," She agreed amiably, "But fertile rapists are generally ugly and stupid, and I want smart, pretty babies. She stated with a nod, then went back to mirroring his pose. "Of course, I can hardly know from this conversation if you're smart, but you're pretty, so that's enough for now. I can have smart babies later. And yes, you see my point in this, no?" The otter questioned.
Still humming around the conversation, she wriggled around until she was on her back, her limbs splayed in the same position, her head still tilted like his. It seemed to be amusing her, though she was simply staring at him.

Ira's ears flicked backwards as he watched the woman thoughtfully. In many ways, she seemed more like a child than someone old enough to bear children. Though she was pretty. The stallion tilted his head back the other direction as he regarded her easily.
So far she fulfilled his list-- again, alive and not related-- though it appeared she didn't care too much if he didn't even fully meet all of her criteria, which, he noted idly in a nice round of circular logic, evidently weren't that big of a deal to her.
It seemed, however, that she had far more need of him than he had of her. Leaving the question of his intelligence aside-- which was just as well since his Mommy dearest would call him an idiot for following a strange woman to her mother's home-- Ira tilted his ears back towards her. "There's a point involved," he agreed brightly.

She attempted to flick her ears back.. but it didn't work. She could move her paws in weird directions, flip her tail all over, but head-appendage-movement was limited when you were an otter, unfortunately. So she satisfied herself by mimicking his second head-tilt.
"Yes. Are you going to say anything worthwhile anytime soon?" She asked suddenly, her gaze narrowing into something akin to a glare. "I don't have forever, you know. I have kids to babysit in a few hours, so I'd speak up if I were you." Her words were strangely coherent compared to everything else she'd said thusfar, but she reversed almost immediately back to her usual self. "If I don't show up on time, Seth won't buy ice cream, and then what will I eat? You don't want me to go hungry, do you?" Sae asked with a slight upside-down pout.

Ira sat and stared at the woman for several very long minutes, during which he absolutely said nothing. Perhaps this would make her think he really wasn't that intelligent, but it didn't truly matter to him one way or another what she thought about that since he knew the truth of the matter. Finally, the stallion rose and stretched completely and fully, from his head all the way down his tail. If he'd been feline, he might have kneaded his claws against the floor. As was he simply turned his head to her and very politely requested, "May I have a tour of your mother's home?"
Why exactly he'd want that and why he was asking for such were likely unclear and there was the possibility that he didn't even really know why he was asking. Either way, however, he was interested in seeing the place.

To the contrary, Saethre was thinking nothing of the sort. While the silence filled the room around her humming, she was busy imagining what sorts of beautiful, happy babies they would have. They would certainly be very interesting; horse-otter babies? Poor things, they'd have to flap on one end and clop on the other. Oh well, not her problem. Their colors would be so pretty, though, with the greens and blues and blacks..
His question had her blinking widely at him until she remembered to be polite. "Oh, sure. Not much here. This," She started, then slithered off the counter and landed on the floor neatly, "Is the kitchen. And the dining, off that way. Follow me," Sae requested neatly, then made her way into a hallway. She poked her head into a door. "This used to be our bedroom," She said. It was a room that had literally two mattresses and a ton of blankets in it, still in a state of disarray since Vessatha refused to touch it.
She moved on. "Momma's bedroom," The otter announced. The bedroom actually looked like a bedroom, with a large poster bed, grand oak furniture and nice carpetting. "And the bathroom. Momma Vessie's study's down the other way, but I'm not 'sposed to let people in there," She said, then shrugged. "What'd'you think?"

It was a very nice house but by the time they were finished even with the abbreviated tour, he'd rather forgotten what it was they were doing and so was simply following behind Sae with a vaguely amused expression.
"Where do you live?" he asked in response to her question since all he recalled now was her words "used to be". It was an idle curiousity; his mind was already wandering elsewhere and he was heading for the front door without really thinking about it. He just sort of assumed Saethre would come with him since nothing seemed to really be tying her here.
When he reached the street his ears tilted up and he scanned quickly; he thought he recognized the area. If he was right, there should be a perfectly lovely cafe just over a few streets from here which would be a good place to get something to drink.
