[OOC: This is an rp for Bee and I ^_^...but if Bee would like anyone to join or something I'm more then happy to RP with anyone. Just give the word Bee <3] The man who drove the cart had wanted a drink. Naturally, Ginger being the only mode of transportation, was saddled up and ushered on to Captial City. It wouldn't have been so bad if she could have gone at the pace she wanted, but that was hardly ever the case. With a rip at her rump and spurs at her sides, she was made to run as fast as her tired body and legs could carry her and the rather...rotund, coachman. She almost wished she could have been hooked up to the cart, where wheels would be able to help her carry the man's weight. But no such luck. All the while her head raised high above her sholders, and made to stay there as the man rode through the night. Their final destination was a little pub known as Furgus' Bar and Pub, and the man promptly hopped off and tied her to a pole outside. She watched as the man walked into the bar practically screaming into it as he entered and had seen his group of drinking buddies. Ginger meerly snorted and shivered from exhaustion. Her legs held fine cuts were undergrowth had obviously whiped against her legs as she ran through them. But no matter, they would be healed by morning and Murmur would hardly know the difference. She steamed mentally as she slowly returned her breathing to normal.

[OOC: I don't have a problem with it. The more the merrier. <3] Thalia was looking for Mom. Usually when Mom said she was going somewhere for any period of time, she was either going to do evil unlawful things (or possibly Court things, but to Thalia's understanding, it was pretty much the same thing), or she was going out for a drink. Thalia had no idea where she went to do evil unlawful things, but she did know where she went to drink. Mom had supposedly sworn off alcohol after news that Thalia had been conceived, but like so many resolutions, it hadn't stuck. So now she was at the bar, trying to get Mom back home. Mostly for selfish reasons. She had stolen a chicken from some old bat down the street, and then Monty had savaged it and deposited the entrails at the woman's door. The lady was going completely nuts about it, and Thalia had no idea what to do. Tosiek wasn't around to lie for her, but she figured that Mom would do for manipulation in a pinch. She was immediately sidetracked by the horse. Bright yellow and purple, long mane...chained all over and tied to a pole. Thalia frowned. That didn't seem like a very nice thing to do to a person. Then she caught the rank insignia. An Ace. Her eyes lit up. She had only seen one before, Aiolos, the crazy man Mama sometimes went about with. She had always wondered if all the other Aces were like him. If they weren't allowed to do things with all the other people because they were all psycho murderers who feasted on the flesh of infants and performed demonic rituals in the attic crawl spaces. She walked carefully up to the mare, prepared to defend herself. "Pardon me," she said, mustering every last bit of politeness she had, which was not much. "Do you like knives?"

Ginger was still calming down when she heard a petite voice of a child. Eyes covered from the young one's vision by the visor-like parts narrowed slightly. What was it with children in this day and age able to roam around without adult supervision? If she ever had foals of her own she certainly wouldn't let them run rampant. But then again, she thought, she probably wouldn't have her children for very long until they were sold off to new owners. Her children were livestock...and nothing more. Beasts of burden...just like herself.
The thoughts were such a downer that they calmed her conderibly, and she turned her body so that her head might turn so she could look down at the child. Purple iris' quirked with the help of an eyebrow at the question the child had just asked. Ok...so...lone child...and asking very strange questions to strangers. Not to mention those....growths. They looked almost like tenticles. What a strange child. She wondered if she would even dignify the child with an answer, she could act like she wasn't seniant. Alot of people fell for that. But she saw the King's mark on the child's breast...and thought of her own...Ace of Clubs...no...it would be best to answer the child...who knew with these royals nowadays. She thought about the question for a moment or two longer, then finally answered.
"No, I don't believe I do. I personally have no use for them, so if I saw them that would probably mean they would be used against me." she did, after all, live in the stalls outside the house. She would probably never see a knife used for anything but a weapon...or maybe to give her sweet release from the bearing rein. Though death did that perfectly well to.

Thalia eyed the ropes. Then the mare. Then the ropes again. One of her tentacles absently reached over and patted the woman on the head, a comforting gesture that her brain was not quite aware she was making. Her mind swirled with infantile ideas about escape and retaliation. It didn't seem right to keep someone tied up like that, even if they were just an Ace. Nobody tied Aiolos up, that she'd seen. But that might have been because the streets would have run red with blood if anyone had attempted it.
Her voice dropped to a conspiratorial whisper: "I can get you out. Of the ropes, I mean. It shouldn't be too hard. We can find my friend Tosiek and run away and have adventures in the moutains and become wild people and eat any travelers who try to interfere with us." This sounded like a perfectly good plan, to her mind. After all, her a couple of her half-brothers nibbled on people. They must be tasty.

He really didn't have time for this. The times that he snuck away from the Palace of Hearts were too few and far between to be anything other than utterly and absolutely precious. He left the Palace to relax and to spend some time with the family he so sadly felt like he was neglecting. And he gets to the house to discover wot? Havoc. Chaos. As freakin' always. Only Aiolos remained, shrugging slightly when Rai tried to discover who was supposed to remain there. Helena had helpfully pointed out that Mommy was 'on call', so to speak, but she had gone out for awhile. Iphis had continued to say that Thalia was out searching for her right now. With a slight curse, the Queen had headed to the streets, rank and suit carefully covered by the blue cloak that covered him, his mind following the same logic that Thalia had regarding Mnem's whereabouts. When he found her, he was going to...... Golden and yellow hooves slowed slightly as he paused, catching sight of something wonderfully beautiful. His ears flicked back uneasily recognizing the woman's mixed region heritage, but... she was gorgeous. It surprised the man to be so affected by someone's physical appearance. Other than being turned off by Lowlanders, he really didn't care how people looked. A young voice caught his tilted ears and he knew it rather well. A glance down proved that Thalia was here, but no sign of Mnem. Well, at least that was half of wot he needed. The stallion came forward in time to catch the tail end of the girl's plan. "Unfortunately, Thalia," the man said easily. "Neither you nor Tosiek are cannibals. You wouldn't enjoy the taste." Grey-green eyes flicked up to the woman with her and a glimmer in his gaze might betray unease, though nothing else did. With his cloak and sleeve on and his hat pulled low over his right eye, the man might not seem the best to meet on a dark night in front of a pub.

Ginger backed up on in the slightest as the tenticle came closer and closer to her face. She couldn't really move backwards anymore anyway, the rope that connected her to the post wasn't really that long to begin with. When the tenticle patted her raised head however, she calmed down. What a strange child indeed, asking about knives and patting random strangers. At least it hadn't been told lies about how you could catch the "Ace Virus" or some nonsence. That had happened to her once or twice, made her feel all the more inhuman. Probably part of the reason she wasn't so apposed to Lowlanders...as long as they kept their hands to themselves. She didn't really like when they went about touching her. Her rump twitched subconsciously, like it was fending off a fly.
She perked her ears forward listening intently to what the child was whispering to her about. An eyebrow raised as one fell in a quizical manner. The royals must be inbreeding, that was the only way one could get a child this strange. Though it did touch her, the kindness being shown to her by the young one. Petting and offering to free her were always ways to get on her good side. "That really does sound...nice, but I'm afraid I can't be set free. They would just find me and punish me. I've tried in the past." she said. And this was true, boy the stories she could tell of her many escape attempts. All of them ended the same way...

"Shinrai!" Thalia said, delighted. She didn't see him very often at all. Mostly she just knew him as the father of her half-siblings, and Mom told her that he had alien and/or demon DNA whenever she asked why her brothers and sisters were so weird. He had always seemed to her like some strange, larger-than-life creature from another world.
This was a great development. He was a Queen! Surely he would be able to help them. Even if someone would be audacious enough to challenge a King--and few people did, even though Thalia was only a child, which she never ceased to find amazing and advantageous--no one would challenge a queen. If they could see his rank, that was. The stallion had it hidden. Perhaps she could sneak his cloak off at some point.
"What are you doing here?" she asked, curiously.

[OOC: Oh! I didn't see that you had replied Sera XD! I'll make sure this post includes him and such XD; I'll be editing it in a moment XD;] Ginger had been paying to much attention to the child, to notice that a shadowy figure had been approaching them, until it spoke. It spoked her slightly and her front legs tossed her up slightly in a shocked jump. The moment the suprise wore off however, she soon found herself worried for the child. She didn't like the fact that the creature in front of her was so covered up by capes and such, and it being late at night and the child being all alone. She just didn't like it. But before she could snap at the stranger, the man and the child had managed to have a small exchange which let her know that they were aquanted. That was a bit of a relief. "Is this one yours?" she asked, though somehow she highly doubted it. They didn't look a thing alike. However, it just seemed right to know how they were related before completely relaxing in the face of this stranger with the strange child. It didn't really help that both of them made her uneasy for different reasons. And especially how the stranger looked at her from behind the cape and hat. She wanted to say something, but she thought better of it. She was just an Ace after all, she had to put up with alot of things because of that. Maybe soon the man and strange child would just go away.

"Looking for you and your mother," the stallion answered the tribrid's question lightly. "So I'm only half successful. Why did you come out here, Thalia? You're not supposed to just leave the house on your own."
She spoke and he grew still for a moment as though absorbing something from the night. It took him a moment before he answered the woman's question, "Not exactly." The answer was truthful, at least. Their familial ties were vague and difficult to define. "She's... an adoptive child." In a way. Sort of. How did one explain that the mother of your children had sex with her roommate and came out with further offspring? Too strange for words.
For one normally very aware of wot was going on, Rai was more aware of their surroundings than even the rank and suit on the woman's chest. Really, he was trying to not stare at her too hard. Most Torquehelmians had strange and difficult bindings, and it didn't occur to the Queen that she was actually tied to the pole.

"I can take care of myself," Thalia chirped, which was mostly true. People who weren't leery of her rank were usually dissuaded by the tentacles and the Hair, both of which could wave rather threateningly, and the former came in very handy in a scrape. "I'm looking for Mom too. I, um...got into trouble. A little bit. It's nothing, really." Her bouncy nervousness betrayed her. "You don't know where she might be, do you?"
She glanced at the pub. Intellectually she knew that there was a door there, because bitter experience involving numerous bruises and a broken jaw taught her to be wary of strange gaps in walls (she didn't seem to be able to turn the damn ability off), but she only saw the people inside. None of whom appeared to be Mom.
"Oh! And we're taking her away." The mare had said that her past attempts had been unsuccessful, but clearly she hadn't had Thalia on her side. Thalia could steal anything away. If Shinrai were helping them, they were guaranteed a victory. She grinned at the Ace. "I forgot to ask what your name was. Sorry for my rudeness."
