She silently watched the interaction between the two people in front of her, slowly being comforted by the fact that the two of them seemed to know eachother very well. Well, she now felt more comfortible letting the child run off with the stranger if they decided to leave. But to say she was completely comforted would have been a lie. The child was still odd, and the caped stranger was still...a stranger in a cape.
They seemed to be looking for the small childs mother. "I'm afraid I only just got here a moment or so ago...I haven't seen anyone walk into the bar except my rider. I'm sorry I can't be of any help." she said to the little one, though she knew the question wasn't directed originally at her. She looked down at her legs, still oozing blood slowly from the cuts she had recieved from riding quickly through the undergrowth. She would have to deal with it later, she couldn't clean them on her own standing up, her Torquehelmite bindings didn't allow her to bend her head at all. Damnible bearing rein. She would have to lay down to do so, and she didn't feel comfortible laying down in front of complete strangers to clean herself. Well...she would have to figure out one way or another...she didn't want Murmur seeing her scraped up. She wouldn't be happy with the coachman...but undoubtibly shed be upset with Ginger to for not protesting.
The strange man in the cape was starting to spook her a bit with the way he looked at her. Looking at her bindings, her chest mark, everyting. She snorted nervously. The bearing rein may be pulling her head up in a proud and regal manner, but because of that it puffed out her chest more, making the Ace of Clubs painfully visible against her golden yellow pelt. She stomped a front foot once or twice, from nerves. Luckily the child distracted her a bit, and she turned her purple eyes to see the small creature. "Oh no...you are kind for asking at all." she said shifting her gaze to the caped man before going back to the child. "My Master and her other servants call me Ginger." It was a pet name to be sure. She might have had a more extravegant name...hell a name at all if she hadn't been born an ace and sold at a young age. That was all she was, a beast of burden, and a pet. That was the only kind of name she was deserving of.

She stomped a foot and his eyes followed the movement without realizing it. As his grey-green eyes followed the golden line of her leg back up to her face, he suddenly realized just wot marked her chest and green ears pinned back as he let out a surprised snort. An unusual thing for him to lose even that much control, but neither Ginger nor Thalia were likely to know that.
He took a moment of contemplation to mentally stand back and really look over the woman and get his odd lust for her out of the way. Now that he was looking at her clearly, he felt his heart sink at wot he saw. She wasn't in the best of condition, obviously used as a mount, and she was covered in scratches. *&$#, *&$#, *&$#.
He needed time to think, desperately. He set his attention onto the child, forcing his tone and words to remain calm. "Wot kind of trouble, Thalia? Wot happened?"

Thalia's eyes widened in alarm. She didn't like it when the subject suddenly switched to her. Especially when her less glorious moments were involved. She kicked at the ground nervously. "It was just one chicken, I swear. I grabbed it. I didn't even realize it. And I was keeping it in my room and Monty evacuated it and the woman got all het up about the gooey inside chicken gore and now I'm going to die unless I can find Mom to do that thing she does all the time, that thing where she opens her mouth and lies come out."
Great, now she was making herself look like a freak in front of her new friend. "But that doesn't matter! We have more important things to worry about. Like setting Ginger free! You'll come on our adventure, right, Rai?" She looked up at him pleadingly. "It's going to be magical."

Ginger made small, uneasy, quiet horse noises as the caped man stared at her, looking her up and down. She really wished he would take that thing off...or well...act less...ominous. Or at least let her see his face or something! With the hood drawn over as it was, she couldnt tell what he was. It was then that heard the suprised snort, and she knew right away what he was. He was the only kind of animal that could support a snort of that type. He was some sort of Equine. This only served to make her even more uneasy. The man who seperated her from her mother and sold her was a Zebra, her own master was a horse as well. Murmur was by no means a tyrannt...but at the same time, she was not very saintly either. Truth be told, other Equines made her extremely uncomfortible indeed. They above all, showed the least amount of mercy. It was kind of Ironic.
She figited, her body twitching now and again as if flys were biting at her flesh. She pawed at the ground a bit. It was fairly obvious that the caped man made her extremely uncomfrotible. There was just...something not right. She tried to ignore her unease, trying to pay attention to the young girl and what trouble she had gotten herself into. At the mention of her mother, she chuckled a bit, and immidiately felt better. The girl's mother sounded like a character.
Ginger's brief smile turned into a more concerned look at the girls enthusiasm. She looked at the caped man again. Guh, that guy really creeped her out, she quickly looked back to the young girl. "Oh...I don't know Thalia," she said picking up the name from the caped man's repeated usage of it, "My Master would come looking for me...and when she found me...there would be hell to pay." She hated to ruin the child's sense of adventure and wonder...but...she really couldn't leave. She just had a couple of bloody scrapes right now...she didn't want to think about what she would get for being found after an escape attempt.

Monty evacuated it? Did she mean eviscerated? The stallion wasn't entirely certain and he didn't think it'd be wise to ask. Sometimes Thalia was a little..... confused. Like her penchant for walking into walls.
He was also aware of her tendency to just pick up items and not seem to really realize it. He blamed that entirely on Minh. The woman was so absent-minded, he really wondered how she even remembered to breath. Still, Thalia was sweet despite her... quirks. Even if he didn't always know how to react around her, he still liked the girl. Though her -other- mother drove him to distraction.
"I will take care of it when we get back to the house," he finally answered quietly. And heaven help the woman if she wouldn't listen to The Queen of Hearts. Of course, this simple solution to Thalia's problem left him with a bigger one of his own.
He didn't really think about Aces very often. They were part of society, yes, but that was about how far they affected him. And now to be faced with an abuse issue... blast, double blast.
"Perhaps," he suggested lightly. "We can bring you home long enough to clean you up. I can send a message to your master."

Thalia launched herself at Rai and hugged him enthusiastically. That was an excellent idea. No one, not even Ginger's nasty master, would defy a Queen, unless they wished to bring all sorts of unpleasantness--like mind-breaking torture and a grisly death--upon themselves.
"Yes!" she said, detaching herself from the stallion. "You can tell her master to bugger off forever. Then we can take her back to...um...the Gardens or something...and get her a nice little cottage to live in and a good job and a nice girlfriend. Maybe Mom can find you something. When we find her. She used to live there."
She was quite caught up in the excitement of her plans and what was sure to be a fantastic adventure. "Say yes, Ginger. It will be amazing fun. I'll protect you from evil, I promise. At least come and get cleaned up."

[OOC: I'm SO sorry this took so long to reply to...but I would greatly like to continue if you both would <3] Ginger's violet eyes widened slightly, her brow furrowing in worry. She couldn't look down at her knees...but she could feel the sting and flowing enough to know that it was bad. But the caped man still frightened her...and the girl seemed to be speaking a mile a minute. So many plans for her future, she didn't know what to say. Not that in reality she had a choice anyway...she was property, and if they wanted to take her all they really needed to do was convince her rider in his drunken stupor and ride her home. Her front legs shifted uncomfortibly, and she couldn't help but let her legs twitch from the pain. Being bandaged up would be wonderful. Murmur would eventually see and get angry at the rider...but she wouldn't be back until late tonight...and she doubted her drunken rider would actually take care of her wounds before troopsing off to his quarters. Infection or a scary caped mystery man? Neither was something that sounded like something she wanted to have happen. How many things happened that she wanted though? She still couldn't address the horse male, instead turning to the small child once again. "That is sweet of you...both. I don't know..." she looked over at the entrance of the bar, her entire body moving so that her bolted head and neck could move. Her black tail flicked against pale yellow pelt with the motion, and her extravigantly long mane made a small hissing noise as it draped and dragged against the wet cobblestones. "I suppose, if you wanted to take me...I wouldn't have much of a choice...but my rider would report it as theft most likely..."

Shinrai gave a low, rather surprised laugh at Thalia's great enthusiasm, but, then again, she had always been this way. He assumed it was Minh's influence. When Ginger finally spoke, the Queen smiled encouragingly; at least, he hoped it was. The woman seemed very jumpy.
"I doubt that will be a problem." If anything, convincing her rider to give her over was going to be the easiest part. "Tell me wot your rider looks like and I will go in and find him." And, as Thalia was thinking, few would willingly challenge the Queen of Hearts, especially over something that was potentially meaningless in the long run.
He would go in and convince whoever her rider was that it was distinctly worth his time to let the Queen have his way. Rai refused to look at her knees again; at least not yet. He needed to keep his temper under control.

Thalia was overwhelmingly pleased that Queen Rai seemed to have everything under control. She hoped that he wanted a description of the master in order to destroy him utterly and toss his bloody pieces to the wind (Mom threatened to do that to her all the time), but he would probably try to resolve things with less drama. Thalia didn't much care, when it came right down to it, as long as Ginger would never need to see the man again.
"I'll go with you," Thalia said dutifully. She had a few very unkind things she wanted to say to the man, whoever he was. The Hair wiggled in anticipation--she thought it might want to choke people, like Mom's did, but it couldn't yet, and would just have to settle for snarling and writhing angrily when they came face to face with Ginger's master.
