doesn't even begin to describe it.
my main machine, the one with everything on it? yeah. dead. all the banders, all my files, all of everything I've ever worked on. stuck on a computer that won't even start.
I'm so upset right now. at least I've got the little guy for some stuff. I just dunno how active my muses'll be.

Eeep! Hopefully it'll start up eventually and everything will be on there - if not, you might try sending it to a data recovery place of some sort. *hugs you*

@_@; oh my god that is made of epic failure. I'm so sorry. *hugs* Hopefully it's not your hard drive causing the problem and just the power supply or something. *hugs again*

I'm chatting with the lovely people of HP tech support. I've tried all the fixes listed on their site... So we'll see how it goes. It's not a problem with the power supply, unfortunately... It's an electrical hardware malfunction that'll require a repair, looks like. damnit.
EDIT: Confirmed. Estimated repair cost: $450.00+. Think I'm gonna shop for a nice medium-end desktop, they cost about that, right? <<

Oh hun x.x *HUG*
Try Tiger Direct. they have good stuff at good prices. Built myself a HIGH END gaming comp for $1500, when it's really worth like $2500+ and they have nice premade computers as well. Just bites a bit to pay shipping

Ouch... if it something like that though and not the hardrive that is messed up then It is possiable to run your hardrive as a slave in your newer computer. That should work and you'll be able to acess all your old files once again.
