Obadiah was bored, and tired of waiting for their contact to show up. It was a little hard being welcomed in some of the areas of the City when you were falling apart and smelled bad, so to get news they hired/bullied people from time to time to give them the news. This one was late. Keeping an eye out, he got up and paced around the trees, looking for something interesting. There wasn't a whole lot to see. He heard a buzzing, sounded like there were some wasps somewhere. Stupid wasps. He'd gotten his share of stings, especially when he squashed them. Served them right if they were just going to sting anyone that squashed them. "Any sign of that *#&* yet, Chosen One?" he asked Zeus, heavy on the sarcasm. That was a good one.

Leaning against a wall and cleaning out under his claws with his dagger, the Hellhounds Queen did not look pleased. The Hounds were stymied and no one was taking them seriously. He hadn't figure out just what to do about it yet, but it looked like his sheer presence wasn't enough to impress the insolent Court of Hearts. Something must be done, but what? Perhaps if he-- Zeus turned his head just enough to glare dourly at the Jack when the German Shepherd broke his train of thought. "You're the one on lookout," he snarled darkly. "You tell me.He absently noted the sound of insects, but he was too preoccupied to much care about something as paltry as that. No, the Hellhounds weren't accomplishing anything. That needed to change.

"And you're the one that can't fulfill his destiny without help, Nancy," Obadiah said with only a small amount of venom. No more than usual, really. "I thought you hearts were supposed to have some superior sense thing." El followed the directions HIS contact had given him to the edge of the city. There was an item that Elias would supposedly be interested in there, activated by touch like the items that had given El his other powers. As such, he wasn't too concerned about grabbing it for himself. He'd need to figure out some other way to get power to start his war. If he was following the directions, right, there was "his" tree. And around his tree were a couple of brown forms. His lips pulled back in a growl, the feature seemingly out of place on his human face. He recognized one of the forms as he got closer, the $%*@ that attacked his son. He tightened his grip on his staff as he got closer. He didn't know what these two could do, but they were both pretty big. . .

Zeus snarled back at his subordinate, but, really, that's just how Obadiah was. Sometimes he hated the other Card, but he was sure the antipathy was mutual. It was fine. He watched the Jack carefully from time to time; he wouldn't be surprised if Obadiah eyed him some times with the thought of removing him from power. But he would deal with that ruthlessly if it came to it, just as he knew Obadiah would attack ruthlessly.
His attention, however, was arrested by a rather frightening and rather familiar mask. His ears laid back and his snarl grew more pronounced. He ignored the twinge of pain even that movement caused.
"Well, well, well," he murmured as he straightened and glared at the oncoming form. "Looks like some fun has decided to come skulking our way. And today the Josiggy was pitifully alone.

Obadiah found the source of what he thought was the buzzing. It made sense at first, it was a wasp's nest. Only it wasn't. It looked and smelled more like a statue or something. He rose up on his hind legs to paw it out of the tree, where it was nestled into a little nook where branch met trunk. "Huh, looks like we made some sort of score, at least. Some rich idiot will probably pay pretty good for something like-" And then he knocked it loose and picked it up. It tingled something fierce, like his mouth fell asleep and had pins in needles. He hated that.
He walked around the tree when Zeus mentioned the newcomer. The Doberman recognized him, and hated him, which didn't really mean a lot, but a fight's a fight. "Wanna take him?" When he said that, it was like something just swelled around him, and a bunch of bees and stuff made a beeline for the masked intruder. He would later laugh at his own wit, though nobody would know he said anything. "oa, ih ai ooo ah?"
Elias was now close enough to see that one of the two, in animal form, had something in his mouth. That was about all he had time to see because from nowhere a massive swarm appeared and came toward him. Elias was displeased. He could see the mark on animal form's chest. Clubs. Summoning swarms of whatever was coming at him wasn't all that common a Club inborn power. Elias had never heard of it. And, the thing was in animal form around a bipedal. . .his mind whirled through the "calculations," and came to the conclusion that they had taken his item and gotten a good power out of it.
The swarm was upon him, and he was glad he was mostly covered from neck to foot. Few of the stings got through, though the insects hitting his face, neck and head were bothersome. He charged the animal, hoping that he could take or at least top the power if he could get the item back. Boy were they going to be surprised when his staff connected.
Hive Ability: Once a week, this SD is now capable of calling forth a massive swarm of wasps, bees, and mosquitoes. These insects are easy enough to kill...but really hard to mash through...there are so many of them! None of them are poisonous, unless one is allergic to any of them, and are simply a HUGE annoyance and pain. If they aim for the eyes, however...the opponent could be in trouble. The insects will disperse after 20 seconds.

Zeus didn't turn when Obadiah began to. . . say whatever it was he was trying to say. He was more interested in the figure approaching them. When the swarm zoomed toward their enemy, however, he glanced back over his shoulder at the other Hellhound. What the-- Was that a hive?
Still, he had more pressing matters to attend to now. There was a number of things he could do now, but he had a horribly ironic ability he wanted to use on this arrogant #$$, just in case they decided to not kill the #*$&*&@. So rather than some of the other things he might do, he decided to help with the continued aggravation of their attacker.
Fortunately-- for him-- he hadn't been around Trott today, and thus was able to use his pain ability with impunity and a dark smile of amusement. It would sever this *#(%*#) right for the humiliation Zeus had suffered before.
Strong Magical Ability: When activated, he can inflict mental pain on another card of the suit of Clubs, once per day. The degree of pain is equivalent to that of the skin on ones jaw slowly being peeled off. Many even lose the ability to talk after about five minutes of this torture...even though they aren’t actually being harmed.

Elias felt his face start to fall apart. At first, he thought that it was pain from stings, but it didn't quite feel right. He'd been stung plenty of times in the Marsh, and this was different.
Still, he stopped short for a split second, swatting at the hornets, bees, and some mosquitoes that he saw. The bipedal was smirking. So be it. El re-oriented and charged HIM, instead. He didn't care about the size difference, he'd gotten stronger in this form and could most likely hold them both off the ground and strangle them. If they would cooperate, that is.
He used his ability to cave the ground in around the Shepherd, dropping him down three feet in an instant. It would slow him down at least while he scrambled out, and he could get a good thwack at the biped. He got close enough and swung his staff in a wide arc parallel to the ground.
Obadiah was about to charge to meet the human when the masked man stopped. The sudden change confused him, and he wanted to be able to respond to any magic attacks. That desire did nothing to prepare him for being suddenly three feet lower than he had a second ago. All in all, it wasn't that bad, he just had to rear up and climb out. As he came up, he saw the man swing at Zeus with his staff.
He didn't quite want to wrestle with the Lowlander, wanting to keep far enough away that one couldn't hold him for the other.

Zeus was pleased to see the Club's hesitation, and though he hadn't expected the other Queen to charge him, he certainly wasn't surprised by the decision either. He seemed, after all, a bigger threat than Obadiah. And he was going to be worse.
The swinging staff guaranteed that he wouldn't be getting in close enough for a nice, infection-ridden bite. However, the Josiggy was close enough for Zeus to use a different new ability of his. He flung his hands forward and thick strands of tar leapt from his hands to wrap around the other canine. They would glue at least one of the man's arms to his side; anything at this point to help arrest the swing of the wood and glass staff.
Zeus didn't remember seeing that last time, so he was immediately wary of it. And where the *(## was Obadiah?
Moderate Ability: This SD is now capable of causing thick strands of tar, half cooled and sticky, to leap from his hands and twist around an opponent. He can only do this once a week, and the tar is not exceptionally hot to the touch. The tar itself will instantly focus on and glue at least one limb to the opponent’s side, or try to glue two opponents together at an awkward angle. The tar will slowly dry and flake off over the course of an hour.

Elias swore. He'd be dead if he couldn't get his mobility back. He used another charge of his earthquake ability to cause the earth to quake under the doberman, and called a thick cloud of smoke. He would be fine in it, but they should be pretty unhappy for the next few minutes, and he planned on staying right in the middle. If they'd want to do anything to him, they'd have to come to him, and they'd be too busy coughing and tearing up to do anything to him, he hoped.
Now, what to do about this *%$& all over him? He supposed it should shatter like anything else, and was a little upset that it wasn't harvest moon.
Wait! He could give other people his curse for a day, why not give it to himself any time he wanted to turn someone into glass? He'd hate to lose his clothes, but they were pretty well ruined, anyway. He focused on his staff and tried giving himself the effects of his harvest moon curse.
King's Ability: He is now able to cast a thick billowing cloud of black smoke that will cause opponent's eyes to water and their lungs to contract every five seconds for a full five minutes. This will cause them to cough heartily and wheeze as their lungs jump spasmodically without them, hampering their ability to move quickly or to see straight. This spell affects all Cards except for Jokers, for if they take his from the spell will not affect them. He can cast this spell once a week.
Twisted Staff: This thick staff has taken on quite the ability since last being touched. Once a day, he is now able to channel his glass curse through the staff and onto others. He is able to choose up to 2 people a day and cause them to suffer the effects of the curse he suffers from fully. (Make sure to post it for their reference) The victims affected can be Cards ranked King or lower and will be forced to live as he does with his curse for a full 24 hours, the effects they cause will not be undone when their curse falls from them. This staff can also not be affected by Elias's curse, it negates it and can be used by him to reverse one effect of his curse once per week.
