Ok, so this time around it isn't my company that's screwing me over.... it's the Union. They've proposed a strike and seem fully geared toward going into it.... meaning I'm royally screwed if I can't get another job, even a shitty one of bleh, if we do. Pretty much if they decide to go through with it.... there's a very real possibility that I'll lose my car, phone, internet .... well, all that stuff that keeps me connected with the outside world.
It's not even my company that isn't aceptign hte offer, we like it... the other grocery chain under the same union rejected the proposal so, unfairly, both companies union members are forced to strike and settle for a weekly few thats a little under a quarter of what I generally make a week .... and my savings can only last so long.... I'm also the only person in my house -working- ..... so it's not looking so good.
You have to pay a ridiculously large fee to leave the union too... and still have ot pay dues for 6 months after.
Cross your fingers we dont' strike or I might be vanishing for an unknown amount of time.
