"No big deal." he said, shrugging as he eyes the grilled salmon the waitress brought him. "After all, if I end up getting lost again, even with a map, I'll just rob some sod o' his food an' I'll be good for a few weeks, yeah?" [/color]he grinned widely and then laughed a bit. He was forgetting himself a little, not realizing that stealing was a bit of a crime in most civilized places, but he was too used to the Marsh. He took no notice of the blue Martin's mocking, thinking she was rather nice judging from her smiles.
"I swear, I can make my way to every rock in the Marsh, but out in the open I get lost so easily." he nodded to himself, watching the squirrel stuffing his face full of sandwich, raising a brow as his three eyes blinked. If he choked he'd help himself to his cash, that was for sure. But first, his food!
How odd, he thought, looking at the grilled fish. Whenever he had fish it was all... raw. This would definitely be new. He took a knife on the table and hacked a piece off of the salmon, stabbing it with the knife again and sticking it in his mouth. Hm. Not bad at all. He continued eating in this fashion, the ferret quite happy to be indulging in this new, tasty experience.
He wondered when the waitress would be back with his coffee. That stuff was wonderful.

Aima politely turned down the waitress for any food. She wasn't much hungry, really, and her tea was enough to put something in her stomach at the moment. It sounded like Parsley really didn't like Glaz, who in turn seemed oblivious to the fact that he was not liked. Even if he did notice he, she suspected he wouldn't care too horrible, if at all. She took a sip of tea to buy herself a bit more time.
"Well, I was thinking.. perhaps I could take him off your hands?" she asked Parsley, almost as though Glaz wasn't there. "I've been meaning to pay a visit to the Capital for awhile now, and I was just trying to figure out how to move some things there with me.. I could show him the way if... he'd..." Her train of thought and speech wavered as she watched Glaz eat.
The cup almost fell out of her paws as she stared in shock as Glaz attacked and viscously ate his fish with only a knife. Parsley was lacking in a bit of table manners, but Aima suddenly feared for the plate and the table. It looked like he would just chop through them all. Though as unexpected and disturbing as it was.. it was somehow fascenating. Was that how they all ate in Golfam? Maybe they were used to tearing through food with their teeth and hands. Huh. Would it be insulting to ask? Well he'd insulted her, she could risk it.
"Do they all eat like that where you're from?"

Parsley had his mouth filled with roast beef as Aima spoke to him. Well, that would be nice. Taking this trouble off of his hands. But could she handle him? She seemed rather nice... but of course that could be a mask. One of his sisters seemed innocent and unassuming but was fairly demonic when pushed in the wrong direction.
He finally swallowed. "Actually that would be fantastic. I'm sure a guide would be able to help him out more than a map. And we don't want any poor innocent people getting mugged because he decided to get lost."
The squirrel finally followed the gaze of the woman. His eyes widened with shock as he watched the man eat with just a knife. Holy Tulgey Trees! What in the name of the suits was wrong with him? "Don't you have forks in Golfram?"
The waitress returned with the coffee setting it down rather hastily before running back into the kitchen.

Glaz stopped eating, giving the two of them looks as if they were the ones acting strange, before grinning slightly. He held his knife out and gave it a bit of a spin in his hand, his grin widening a bit before tossing it in the air and letting it land point-down into the salmon, causing the Golfram to laugh a bit.
"Forks! No sir, we had none o' those back home. A knife was the only tool a Golfram needs for survival, eatin' and defending oneself! Lost my old one, though." he said, shrugging, "An' this one's not very good at all." he said with a frown, "Not gonna take it with me."
He hacked another piece off of the Salmon, skewering it like he had been with all the pieces he was eating, his eyes widening when he saw the refilled coffee placed on the table. A gleeful smile spread across the ferret's face for a moment before he stabbed the salmon, leaving the knife standing upright, his hands then reaching for the mug. Grasping it, he brought it to his lips, and literally chugged the hot, bitter liquid in a matter of seconds, setting it back down.
He seemed much more alert.
"So!" he said, grinning at Aima, "You wanted to show me the way to the Capital or something? That'd be awfully nice o' you, miss. I could uh.. do you a favor or somethin' in return I s'pose.."

Glaz was looking more and more like a science experiment to her. Oh how little he knew the ways of the world. No forks? Only a knife? No worry in the world about mugging or stealing from people! And then to watch him eat was more than a little scary. It was a whole new surprise to watch him down the coffee without any apparent notice of how hot it was.
Maybe she could mold him into something and teach him about civilization. She could do that for him, and he could help her out! It was even better that he offered to do a favor if she showed him the way. What a productive day! Now if she weren't contaminated by blood it would be perfect. She just needed to get used to his blatant stupidity and keep him away from other people.
She tore her eyes of Glaz to look at Parsley. Ah, he looks just as surprised as I was. She would have laughed but knew exactly where he was coming from, and he hadn't laughed at her shock. "And that way you also don't have to show him the way to where the map is and give it away!" she added helpfully. She was relatively sure that the map would probably be either at his house or lab, neither place he probably wanted the Golfam knowing about. Or perhaps he'd already thought of that and was thinking of buying a new one? Then again, it seemed Glaz was likely for forget the location of either even if he was shown them. His sense of direction wasn't exactly the best.
"And all I'd need is for Glaz to help me transport some boxes." Boxes full of old equipment of questionable safety, but he didn't need to know the details.

Parsley wanted to be done with this entire ordeal. He didn't want to deal with uncivilized people who couldn't even use forks. And what was this nonsense of mugging people?
He stared at his sandwich for a few moments as Aima spoke. Could he dump this Golfram on her without feeling bad about the situation? She was offering to take him to the capital so he wouldn't have to put up with any of this. And if he paid for the meal like he originally intended to he wouldn't feel guilty there.
Maybe he would get his meal to go? That seemed like a good idea. For now he would play sociable for a little longer. Then he could run like the wind. "You're free to take him off my hands," Parsley said with a smile. "I think transporting boxes is a better job than the other options in the capital anyway."

Glaz looked over the blue martin curiously. Why was she offering to take him there anyway? He never stopped to think of it. All that for carrying a bunch of boxes? He supposed the boxes were heavy, the ferret not liking the thought of carrying those around one bit.
But.. if it saved him from getting lost again, then why not? It's save him the trouble from stealing food and stuff as well.
"So uh.. how many boxes do I have to carry anyways?" he asked curiously. Hopefully not more than two. Two heavy boxes would be bearable, but he wasn't sure he trusted this martin enough to imagine she would make him carry any less than ten. Ah well. Maybe he could pilfer something expensive from one of 'em, that's make everything nice and even, the ferret imagined.
Seems like the squirrel wasn't coming with them. Fine with Glaz, he was making weird noises and stupid faces the whole time ever since the two of them had gotten to the restaurant. Maybe something's wrong with him, who knows. What was his name again? Par.. something. Well, it started with a P, that was for sure.
After he put another knife-ful in his mouth, pointed the knife he was using at him as one would point a finger and spoke, "Um... Mr.. P. I s'pose that means we part ways at this restaurant, eh? Since Miss Aima's so kind to take me all the way to the capital n' all. I s'pose I should thank ya for takin' me to this.. food place and whatnot. So thanks." the ferret found the words strange to say, but he managed.

"Well then, looks like it's a deal!" she exclaimed clapping her paws together, purposely ignoring her rising alarm as Glaz pointed the knife at Parsley. She really couldn't blame him if he wanted to get out of there as fast as he could. Along with being uncultured he was a frightening individual, although she didn't think the gesture was meant to be threatening.
"Well I've already got the boxes in a.. wheelbarrow of sorts. Well it's on wheels and you have to pull it." That was too much work for her as a small Spade. The Capital was quite a ways! Not that she'd tell Glaz she picked him because she happen to notice his Clubness... He might get insulted by that, and then she'd have to carry the parts on her own. "There's not too many anyway. Only about six or seven."
Aima wanted to gulp down the rest of her tea and get moving. Once things were official she liked to just get it started and done with, but Glaz was still eating. Sitting there awkwardly waiting for him to finish didn't seem like much fun, so she forced herself to finish her tea slowly.

Parsley fond himself staring at the Golfram as he pointed the knife in his direction. Mr. P was it? The Golfram couldn't even remember his name? Well that was a good thing he supposed. The squirrel pulled money out of a bag that sat behind his necklace and put it on the table.
He also grabbed a napkin to wrap up his sandwich, screw waiting. He was going to leave as soon as possible. "I hate to eat and run Mr. Glaz and Ms. Aima but I should be off now that everything is taken care of. I have quite a bit of work to do and such. It was a pleasure meeting both of you." If he had a hat he would have tipped it, but instead he bowed his head to both of them.
As he turned around he muttered to the other Corvie, "Good luck."
She'd need it in his opinion.

Glaz grinned as things seemed to be moving along. Now that Mr. P was leaving, the backwater ferret stabbed the last chunk of salmon and waved the skewered fish in the air as he said goodbye to the retreating squirrel.
"Seeya Mr. P! Thanks 'fer the help n' all that!" he grinned and opened his mouth wide after that, stuffing the chunk of salmon into his mouth, knife-point first, turning around to look at the blue martin sitting with him. He chewed once or twice before swallowing, Glaz was getting as impatient as she was. When he finally swallowed, he let out a satisfied sigh, and brought the knife down into the table with a thud, the blade sticking out of the table, drawing looks from other customers around them.
"All done!" he said to Aima with a smile, his three eyes focusing their attention on her, "So we can get going soon, eh? Gonna move your boxes n' whatnot. I'm really thankful you've got one o' those.. wheel things to help move 'em, luggin' around six or seven boxes ain't my idea o' fun, but you seem smart n' all, so you thought ahead. Bet you're glad you don't have to do it yourself now, eh?"
He stood up after that, waiting for the martin to follow suit, noticing the looks he was getting at that point, but shrugged it off, figuring he had some fish on his face or something like that.
