Right, right...no talking just walking. Eldryia nodded, but the motion made her head spin, so she stopped and just focused on putting one paw in front of the other. Grateful for Alastar being there, so she could lean on him for support. Also, he felt rather cool, which was...nice, as she felt very hot at the moment, and she made sure to rub her head against his scales in an uncoordinated way every time she stumbled. If only she could walk straight...
She nearly fell when the guard's hand was no longer on her as a balancing influence, but managed to direct herself to a bed before collapsing in a pile of drunk kitty. Her head was spinning something awful by now, and the water was grately appreciated. She lapped at it absently, looking up at Alastar with an unfocused gaze. Wow...she must be worse off than she thought, because either she was unobservant enough to not notice there were TWO reptile-bird hybrids helping to this room...or she was actually seeing double. Huh. That had never happened before. Maybe she hadn't eaten enough today or something?
"Thanksh," Eldy slurred, lapping at more water. She looked up at him with wide eyes, hoping that he'd sit next to her...he had felt so nice and cool, and she was still overheated, especially after all that walking..."Room fer you, too..." She taps her tail beside her on the bed.

Alaster looked around for a chair for him when he received the invitation to... join her on the bed. Alaster cleared his throat. He did not like where this was going.
"Let me... go get the water and sandwiches and I'll be right there..." He brought back the water first (and the bucket), putting both on the floor right next to the bed. Next came the tray of sandwiches which he put on the bed between them.
"Help yourself to any of these if you think you can stomach it. I'll keep refilling your water. You should drink a lot," he informed her, "If you don't feel like talking, I'm perfectly fine with that... I just thought you might need some company now. It's been rough for everyone lately. I think we could all stand to do a little reaching out."

There was currently nothing but an innocent desire to be close and cool behind Eldy's invitation, and her muddled brain couldn't understand why he looked so hesitant all of a sudden. Hadn't he invited her back here in the first place? But before she could puff up in drunken anger, Alaster had...was that agreement? She thought it probably was, but she was still unsure until he actually sat beside her. Or, well, beside a tray of sandwiches that was beside her.
She sighed, staring glumly at the food, though almost not really seeing it. Eat? She shoudl eat. What had she eaten so far today? She couldn't remember. Of course, she could barely remember her own name at the moment, so that wasn't saying much. Still...she reached out a paw, bringing one of them closer, and swallowed it in two gulps, lapping at more water afterwards.
"No, no, ish fine...we can talk," she slurred, looking over at him and leaning towards him unconsciously, possibly squishing a few sandwiches. "We Heartsh all need ta....stick together. Whaddya wanna talk about?"

Alaster grabbed another sandwich and took a bite, chewed and swallowed. "That we should, yes," he nodded. The downed the other half before speaking again. "Well, I have to admit, I'm curious about you. What kind of things do you enjoy?" He hoped to bring the conversation to a much lighter side. He knew the girl, but only from rumor. Trying to goad her into revealing subjects right now would be an evil thing to do. Maybe if they became friends they could at a later date but now? Hardly appropriate. [sorry it's short. Next one will be better, I promise. XD ]

Eldryia blinked up at him in non-comprehension for a moment. What did she enjoy? That seemed an odd thing to be asking her. She didn't enjoy being drunk, she knew that much...she didn't enjoy being lectured, or being in her own home region of Torquehelm...or babysitting. Really, it was far easier to think of what she didn't like than what she did. The whole time these thoughts moved sluggishly through her mind, she was probably staring. She shook her head, finally, and managed about the only answer she could.
"I enjoy making friends." It was true. On her travels across the regions, it was the people she met that she honestly had enjoyed the most...the chance to socialize for perhaps the first time in her sheltered life, without fear of retribution if she said the wrong thing or revealed who her parents were. She was still cautious with her personal information, of course, but she had more freedom than she'd ever had before.
Coming home had...made it harder to remember all that. To remember anything. It was so easy to regress and slip back to old habits in the Palace. "And I like travelling." Perhaps she should leave again? Move out? She'd miss her Mother something fierce of course...and she'd need a job. Her ear went back in annoyance...this was part of what she'd been trying to forget by drinking, right? She glared at the water and sandwiches, blaming them for her new burst of memory. Not that she felt any more...sober really...

Alaster waited patiently as she thought. In the meantime he ate another little sandwich. they were so tiny... but they did provide for more variety than a larger sandwich. Eh, whatever. It was food.
"That's good. Friends are an excellent thing to have. Do you make many while traveling? What kind of places have you gone?" He left it at that for now. He didn't want to overwhelm her with questions. He reached over and tapped her water and said in a gentle, encouraging voice: "Keep drinking." He'd been completely plastered enough times to know how much she would regret it if she didn't.
"I've done a little traveling myself, but not as much as I would have liked."

Eldy nodded, smiling a bit...the friends she'd made very rather excellent... "Oh yes, I made a lot when I had that journey a few months back. I visited ALLLL the regions...well, all the ones worth visiting anyways," she said, her smile widening as she thought about it. She leaned even closer to him, still not even noticing she was doing so. "I even made a friend in Torquehelm, though it's a...very depressing place...you don't believe there's really a curse? Just visit it, and you'll know for sure. That's what I did. I also made another friend that I'm not s'posed to tell Mom I met." She tilted her head, giggling slightly. "And then there was the creepy witch doctor, who I then saw wandering around here...'parently she's friends with Seth." Her nose scrunched up a bit. Something about Seth...something sad...oh. Oh right. "...WAS friends with him, 'least," she added mournfully, ear drooping.
She looked down at the water, feeling slightly annoyed she was being 'mothered' by this guy. She sniffed at the water, then turned to ask him is he sure it was water, because it looked more like jello...but felt a sudden wave of nausea hit her. She was able to lean over into the bucket before her stomach made its unhappiness at her eating and drinking habits for the day known. With a slight groan, the Cat lifted her heavy head back up, lapping at the water and trying to keep from pitching forward into it. "Sorry," she mumbled, thinking that must have been unpleasant for the guard. "Remin' me never to touch alcohol ever again...not even if Seth dies again..."
((XD I apologize if I fail HARD at writing drunk people...having never had any personal experience with it...yeah.))

[Sorry. Alaster is actually a very active muse, but ironically one that's very hard to write. >> ]
He had to admit, much of what she was bringing up made him curious. Someone she wasn't suppose to tell Peaches about? That sounded... very interesting. Now he had to phrase his words that made him sound like he was still interested, but not pry any further. He didn't want to do that until she was sober. Otherwise, he'd just look like a total jackass. Then she vomited. Hmm, he should have brought a towel.
"If Seth dies again, I'm sure we'll have a fair bit more problems than alcohol," he joked gently, putting a "hand" on her shoulder. Then he became more serious. [color=CC0000"Did you know him at all?"[/color]

Eldryia scrunched up her nose, thinking about this...sighing out as she felt the reassuring touch on her shoulder. Her ear twitched as the only acknowledgement of his question. Did she know Seth? Did she -know- him? She'd bloody well hit on him, while drunk! And then she'd confronted him when he'd gotten her mother pregnant...sure, she hadn't known him well, but she'd always seen him around, even said 'hi' to him once or twice, since he actually knew she existed and could be trusted not to tell Pravus...who was also dead but that happened a long time ago...
For a moment, her eyes looked wet, as if threatening tears...but then, then she started to snicker, which turned into giggles, and before long she was pitching to the side, in a full out laughing fit, barely able to breathe as she suddenly found the whole situation inexplicably hilarious. She wouldn't have been able to explain what was so funny if anyone had asked her, not in her current state and perhaps not ever. But once she'd started laughing, she just couldn't stop.
