Liv had taken her vacation time from work and wanted to spend the entirety of the one and a half weeks exploring lands outside the Range, particularly the Capital city. What better way to learn about the world than the cultural hub of the world?! HOMGHOMG It couldn't be denied that Liv was very excited. However, three days into her vacation and it all came to a crashing halt. Some pick pocketing son of a whore had taken her stone. Her stone, from her home. What would someone from the Capital City want with it?! It had no monetary value, and surely these people knew the value of that keepsake to the Sorgairians. So with nothing to gain and everything to lose, why bother? Oh, yes, that jerk had everything to lose. Liv was sniffing out his trail. The guy that "accidently" bumped into her and her stone just suddenly went missing after that. Maybe it was mistaken for something else? the thought passed through her mind, and she growled. Either way, the punk ass is gonna get what he deserves... So consumed with the scent trail and her anger, she'd bumped into someone. "Oh!" she snapped back to reality, "I'm terribly sorry!" she looked up to the person. She pushed her concern to the back burner temporarily to apologize. She didn't want to take out her anger on a complete stranger. That would just be rude.

Maxwell blinked, tottering back a few steps after he was bumped into by a very, very determined blue badger. He easily marked her as a resident of the Range by her coloring - just as his was rather obviously of Torquehelm - and then resumed his usual grin, nodding politely at her, braid swinging. "Not a problem! No harm taken, on either side, I don't think," he said cheerily, purple eyes gleaming. Then he peered curiously at her, purple eyes twinkling. "What has you in such a mess, huh? Some idiot do something stupid to you?" There was an abundance of pickpockets and thieves in this particular area, though most of them were smart enough to leave a lone Torquehelm alone, as generally people of his Region didn't carry much in the way of valubles. For that matter, he wasn't just a Torquie, but a grinning Torquie, which obviously meant that he was insane and should be avoided at all costs. Or something like that. The feline then realized that introductions were probably in order about now, and he got to that with a cheerful will. "The name's Maxwell; and yourself, m'lady?"

Hmm, a Torquie she thought, seems friendly enough, but I should still watch myself... she smiled and nodded back, though somewhat absently. Still sniffing. The trail was still good... Oh, he was saying something.
"My name is Liv," she said distractedly, "And, yeah, something's troubling me," she answered, only half hearing what what's-his-face said, "If you wanna keep talking, you'll have to follow me. Usually I'm a little nicer than this, sorry..." she continued following the trail. Though she was very determined, part of her was still curious. she'd never actually met anyone from Torquehelm. Not that she could remember, anyway, and from what she'd heard, it's a rather memorable experience. Her pace began to quicken. Definitely this way...
