 Liv was excited, to say the least. She had never been to the Selkie Lakes before, and now here she was! Not only was she here, but she was here with a very handsome man who affections for had been growing... They hadn't gotten anywhere further than just cuddling, but she was starting to feel... ...ready... "Pathos!" She called as the stared over the sparkling lakes, "This, this place! It's beautiful! Did you really grow up here?!" She turned around, smile splashed across her face, expressing her overbearing glee at the wonders of visiting someplace new. She wanted to go swimming. Then after she and Pathos could dry off, cuddled in front of a fire place... She waited for him to catch up, blushing slightly. She'd gotten a bit over-excited and bounded ahead quite a ways. |

 Pathos idly trotted after her, not concerned in the slightest that she was quite a ways ahead of him. He was enjoying being back home, and the lakes always made him happy, just as they had when he was much younger. At the calling of his name he blinked out of his reverie and smiled at the delightful woman ahead of him, then nodded in reply. "Yes I did, m'dear. Isn't it wonderful?"Once he caught up with her he nuzzled her, then tilted his head. "Want to go swimming? I bet it's the perfect temperature this time of day," He suggested with a grin, then bounded off in front of her without waiting for an answer. The feline had a feeling that she had few qualms with water, but if she didn't want to go in he'd be content to sun with her. |

"It's absolutely lovely, yes!" she beamed back. She had no idea why she'd felt a little embarrassed about how she'd run ahead. He never judged her, even when she made really stupid mistakes.
One of the reasons she'd become quickly enamored with the man was his ability to seem to know exactly what she was thinking. Yes! she wanted to go swimming! She skipped around behind, him, then broke out into a run when that was not fast enough.
They ran down into the water, Liv laughing like an elated child. She stifled her laughed to a giggle as onlookers made strange faces at her behavior. Normally, she would've been more embarrassed, but she was with Pathos. When she was with him, less things tended to bother her. She dove into the water and swam about with the feline. The water felt wonderful. Clean and clear and so refreshing.

Pathos laughed heartily when she broke out into an all-out run toward the lake, and loped after her, not concerned with getting in at any great speed. Despite being a feline he liked water.. but that didn't mean he liked water fast. He was of the "stick a paw in and adjust gently" kind.
He smiled, more than amused, when she dove in, and simply waded into the water and slowly allowed himself to sink down. It was pleasantly cool, and just Pathos' temperature. After a few minutes he sunk completely underwater and swam until he could see the badger's legs, then swam after them and captured one between his front paws, which he then nibbled on. Pathos attack!
After a minute he needed more air though, so propelled himself above water and grinned at her once he could breathe again. "Better be careful, you never know what you might find in this water," He said, teasingly. "Some things bite!"

[Heh, sorry I've been online for so long and have not responded... updating Dealer Room ^^; ]
"C'mon, slow-poke!" she called out for him, watching him slowly edge in the water. This was so wonderful! They didn't have water this warm in the mountains! She went to turn back, only to find Pathos had disappeared from view. Her swimming pace slowed as she looked around in confusion. "...Patho--?AAAH!" she yelped in surprised when her foot was grabbed and nibbled on! It let go, so she looked under the water to see what it was and if she needed to get away from it. she smiled when she saw Pathos and brought her head back up. He followed soon after.
"Apparently!" she giggled, giving him a tiny splash. "So long as it remains harmless and cute, it's not so bad, though," she teased back.

"Coooming," He responded in an absent voice as he slid into the water.
The feline was very amused with her reaction, and swam forward to give her a brief lick on the face as he chuckled, and was awarded with a light splash. He wrinkled his nose but laughed anyways, his usual grin on his face. "I am always cute and mostly harmless, thank you very much," was his only slightly egotistical reply.
He swam around for a while, but once his coat was thoroughly soaked, decided he'd had enough, though doubted Liv had. "I'm going to go sun for a bit love, join me when you're ready?" He offered over his shoulder, already swimming back to shore.
As soon as he was on the hot sand he flopped onto his side and stretched out, not really caring that sand was getting into his fur. That was what towels and baths were for later, wasn't it?

She smiled and giggled at being lick on the face, almost regretting splashing him. Almost. She returned the gesture.
"Of course you are," she poked him, teasing. It really is true, though, she thought affectionately, watching him swim back to shore. "I'll join you in just a bit... love..." She wondered... Did he mean...? Am I over-thinking this? She would've much rather to swim more... but these thoughts made her want to be with him. As soon as he feet hit the sand, she began swimming back. Getting out of the water, she shook off and wandered over to him, flopping down next to him. She looked everywhere, taking in her surroundings and, unintentionally, making a map in her head. This was a lovely place with the long stretches of sand, gorgeous, sparkling water, and well-kept tourist attractions. Even the beach bums seemed to add character rather than detract from the beauty.

He smiled as she began following him and when she flopped down next to him he immediately rolled over and grabbed her with an arm, gently tugging her over so they could cuddle. He snuggled his head onto her shoulder and smiled a bit, "Are you enjoying yourself so far?"
Pathos was, of course, completely oblivious to her thoughts, like he tended to be generally. He was content to be with her, and was never one for really monitoring what he was saying unless the person in question was very upset with him, but that rarely happened with Liv.
"Is there anything you want to do later, or do you want to just hang around the campfire once one gets started?" He asked, his tone slightly musing. There was plenty to do aroudn here, especially when you had a native as a tour guide; Pathos knew far too many places they could go that didn't scream 'tourist!'

[Sorry, I can only take so much of this thread at one time xD]
She snuggled into his touch and sighed happily. "Of course I'm enjoying myself!" she murmured back to him. She turned slightly to look at him and smiled. "I've never been around a bonfire on the beach before. Well, campfire in the Range, yes, but I don't think that counts. More of a necessity with a client than for fun complete strangers. Are they fun? I mean, I'd like to hang out for a bit just to see..." She was very curious as to beach life and was getting a little excited and rambling.
"Do just... random people start up a fire on the beach...?" she'd heard of the stereotype, but had always had skepticism of generalizations. There was a lot of sand about, less chance for a bigger fire to be started on accident. She much time as she always spent outside she suddenly felt... very sheltered. Maybe that was just a side effect of visiting a new place.
