He moved down the sidewalk at a quicker pace then usual, head and tail low and rounded little ears flicking here and there nervously. He had his brother with him, true ... but the mixed realm canine had somehow convinced him he needed to take the lead for once and find them something interesting to do ... or investigate. This just ... wasn't his thing and he wasn't entirely certain what to look for. He didn't exactly have the same adventurer's spirit as his fiery sibling. He tilted his head to the side, peering behind him briefly to see if the full canine was even still following him. He was, but the first thing his olive eyes fixed on was the mark on his older brother's chest. The fact that the wolf had gone from a five to a ten in such a short time made him a little uneasy, a little, well ... useless. He'd done nothing except slow his brother down, or at least that' what he thought. He knew Vesper wasn't very happy with it either but ... he was far more 'disposable' then she was in his own mind. His own little musings distracted him long enough for him to turn the slightest bit off course and bump his shoulder into the wall of a building, his fur bristling and a startled squawk escaped his beak-muzzle.

With his tail curled up and over his back as it often was, the morganberry-lowland cross followed his larger sibling at an even, casual pace. This was kind of slow travel for him, but he wouldn't say anything nor show any signs of it ... this was his idea after all. Truth be told he didn't mind always being the one to lead or choose where and what they did, he just couldn't stand to see his brother be stuck in that same old mold the rest of his life. This was his first attempt at giving his sibling a bit of confidence .... and try and urge him to make his own way into the world. After all, they wouldn't always be together, right? The triple-breed needed to be able to live on his own without being a big, fluffy wreck. Red lined ears flipped forward when his brother sounded a little alarm, but all it got in return was a chuckle which was followed swiftly by a good natured shoulder bump, an amused grin making an appearance on his muzzle. He gave the larger boy a friednly tail wag before peering at him with a look an curiosity, they'd stopped but he certainly didn't know why, or what his brother might be planning. He was eager to see what this little adventure would be like. He also wanted the lowlander to speak first, it was all a part of his plan.

He paused and shook out his thick fur, taking a moment to peer not only at the brick wall he'd bumped into, but around it as well. His hackles raised slowly, made even more impressive by the longer feathers on his neck, as he truly expected something awful to come around the corner and out of the alley at him ... but of course there was nothing. He settled his fur back down before finally turning his head and acknowledging his brother.
Maybe we could ... explore here?
It probably wasn't the most interesting of places and his brother had probably searched this alley a million times over in the past ... but it was a start. In his mind he thought maybe, just maybe bumping into the wall as he had was a sign instead of him just being a clumsy oaf. He gave his tail a tiny wag, looking at his brother with a nervous grin touching his maw. In the end ... the decision would truly be Casanova's ... but he hoped his brother would cave and just accept that ... or not even realize it at all.

He could feel the tension rolling off his sibling's form and was trying his best to override it with his own calm, cheerful aura. Over the years Brokat hadn't made any forward progress, no matter how many people he introduced him to .... in fact he'd actually taken a few steps back and that wasn't good .... but this was progress, right?
Do you want to?
He wasn't going to fall for that little trick, especially since he had all the patience in the world when he actually focused. He just continued to peer at his larger brother, a pleasant little grin on his face and his tail still swaying side to side cheerfully, but slowly. He was focused, and it was hard to stay there and he really didn't think being a spaz would accomplish anything.
This was definitely turning into a learning experience, or maybe a test, for the both of them.

He sighed softly as his brother countered his hopeful statement with a question ... maybe he wasn't as dumb as he thought he was after all? Or was that from all the extra time he'd been spending with papa doing... who knows what wherever they went? He'd mentioned something about spending a lot of time at the Palace of Clubs, was that true? Well then, if it was, why was he wasting time with him? Surely he had more important, far more interesting people to be spending his day with, right? And yet ... here he was, playing the good brother and trying to help him. He wasn't entirely certain if he should feel good about this or feel as if he were being pitied...
Yes, yes I do.
And with that he turned and marched into the alleyway with his head up and his tail... a little higher then normal. Maybe this would prove to his brother that he could be ... something different, even if he really had to push himself.
He glanced over his shoulder, peering at his sibling curiously.
Well, come on!

He kept his ears forward and his eyes focused on his brother as he tried very hard not to smile at that sigh, a sure sign that his sibling was defeated and would give in to his desires soon. He needn't wait too long either, for the triple-breed made a solid statement and... straightened himself up as well. Now that was progress! More then he honestly thought he'd be getting, actually. Oh if only he could see this side of his brother more often ...
Okay, okay ... don't get your feathers all ruffled!
He moved forward, limbs lifted high as he pranced up to his brothers side, flame colored tail swaying happily from side to side. He bump his brother's side, making sure to be oh so careful so that he didn't accidentally light the other boy on fire, and laughed a bit as well. He was in a really good mood now!
Maybe we can find some treasure!
Oh yes, the fire winged canine could turn anything into an adventure.

He rolled his olive eyes before turning his attention back to the cluttered alley ... at least this one wasn't... grimy and disgusting like some of the ones he'd seen. Maybe this was connected to the better parts of the Capitol then? He really hadn't bothered to learn the streets like Nova had, maybe he should start?
He flipped his ears back at the canine's second exclamation ... he hated hearing things like that coming from the other boy ... they usual meant something bad was going to happen at some point ... and they usually didn't happen to the canine either, oy. Well, maybe if he pretended he only imagined hearing his brother say that... nothing would happen today? Well, it was worth a shot.
His little whiskers started to twitch as he took in the scents of the alley, his nose wasn't as good as either of his siblings', but it wasn't awful either. At least there wasn't an overwhelming stench of trash here ... in fact there was something that smelled rather... interesting over there! He started to snuffle around a pile of papers and even lifted a front paw to start digging through it.
Oooooh, what was that? There was something that vaguely looked like a feather in rather pretty looking colors poking out from under a few papers. Intrigued he started to paw some more, only to feel a sharp little prick in the pad of his paw and he let out a little yelp that was partially pain and mostly shock. And then there was an odd, icy sensation traveling down his spine that made his fur stand on end... and then nothing but black as he fell to the ground with a thud.

He wasn't expecting to find anything truly interesting down this alley but he'd poke around just to make his brother happy ... and make him feel important. He wiggled his little fire wings sending little licks of flame into the air as he did. He went to the other side of the alley and let Kat have fun with his chosen side, again ot let him feel important.
And then he heard that yelp and his head shot up and his ears went forward, he turned his head just in time to see his brother flop over onto the ground in a graceless heap. It took him a little moment but then his limbs started to move and he was at the triple-breed's side in no time, poking at him with a paw.
Kat? ... Hey Brokat, come on, let's go.
Oh suits mama was going to ring his neck, wasn't he? He pranced in place for a moment before he remembered that he had the option of calling mama to him, he'd know what to do ... his brother was still breathing after all.
He was already touching the fire of his wings so he sent the little mental projection to their mama, papa was in the Court today and just... wouldn't be able to get here fast enough.

Tavor was resting at home, he finally had the house all to himself! He flopped down in a chair with a sigh of relief and was just settling in when he got a little mental message in a voice he recognized oh so well ... it was Casanova ... and this was one of the first times the boy had used his new power to contact him. You're going to have to come to this alley... I need you! Hurry, please? I'll give you the directions .... Something was definitely wrong and the little wolf was dancing around the subject .... which meant he'd probably be getting a rather awful surprise when he showed up at the spot he'd been directed ... he really wasn't looking forward ot that either ... It took him roughly twenty minutes to get to where he'd been directed and he spotted hte pair immediately when he turned the corner.... and his heart stopped for a brief moment when he saw the limp form of his son on the ground ... and the other sitting next to him. What .... what did you do?
