Blyn really wasn't sure what had made him come to the capital. No, wait, he did. He was looking for some one, someone that even though he had tried not to let it happen, had remained in his mind since the first, and last time they had met. Just that one chance meeting, and what was possibly a stupid decision on his part and the poor fella seemed smitten. The bad part was, Blyn had no idea just where he needed to go to find Eros. Where did one go to find a whore? The feline didn't have to do any searching last time, Eros had found him, well, Blyn had stumbled into Eros's general area while in a half drunken stupor one night, but still, he hadn't had to go searching. For the life of him, he just couldn't remember where it was that Eros had taken him that night. If he had been more clear headed, he might have been able to retrace his way there, but of course, he hadn't been. Maybe he should just stop and ask someone. . .no, that was out of the question. Not that he really cared what anyone else thought, but once he was a Queen, he didn't need anyone remembering that he had been wondering the streets looking for a whore. Of course, Blyn didn't really think of Eros that way, and had that silly little notion that maybe he could save the other male from his choosen lifestyle.

Eros had broken the rules, but he cared very little about it. The whores of the gang who did not have a home of their own were to stay in the red light district near HQ so as for Roxanne and her body guards to take better care of them in their short supply of guards. Leaving if you didn't have a home was not really forbidden...but he didn't much care about the fact that he would be chewed out later. He and the gang weren't making money staying in the red light district area, not as much as he did anyway when wondering. And the gang was in desperate need of money. His lively hood was in that gang, and Eros always did things to enhance his chances of living. After all...thats really all life was about...continueing despite how empty the world really was. Eat, Sleep, Shit, Pee, Fuck. That's all life really consisted of in it's basic form....everything else just caused pain. Eros was bitter enough without all the extra corricular life experiences. It had come to the point where he would die if he stay and died if he left. But desperate times called for desperate measures. He had more of a chance to gain more money if he left...so he did. It wasn't that hard of a choice to make. As he wondered, he came across a familiar face, and he stopped. He looked down at his chest, the sapphire spade necklace hanging in plain sight, and he sighed a little. Roxanne had ordered him to keep it, finding it cute that he had actually been payed in such a fashion, and to get someone else pregnant no less. She loved patronizing his bitter ways. He didn't exactly want to go by the man who had given it to him, lest he get the wrong idea, but he did find himself strangely curious as to if his seed had purchased. He walked over, his body sashaying in a distinctly feminine way, despite the fact that his face was most certainly masculine. He was kind of strange, in that he was a male, but was able to flaunt himself in such a way as to make himself desirable as a woman. It made him almost androgenous. His tail flicked as he walked from side to side. He bowed his head as he headed closer to the man. "Hello again." he said simply as if he was reading off a card. He didn't say anything esle just yet.

The feline was almost to the point of giving up for the day. He wasn't sure just how long he planned to search for the other male, or really if it was even a good idea, but he did know that it was something that he felt like he had to do. It had been eating at him for a long time, and for more reasons than the simple fact that he couldn't get Eros off of his mind. Blyn decided it was time for a break and sat, as he did, a largish pack slide over one shoulder. The burden inside making him more tired than he had thought it would. He shifted so that he could slip on foreleg out of the strap and gently shifted his shoulder so the pack slide to the ground lightly, he seemed to be taking particular care with the bag. As he sat, he could have swore he saw a familiar pink hide, the color standing out amongst any crowd. Instead of getting his hopes up, he sighed, deeming it his imagination running away with itself. It wasn't until he heard that silken voice that he knew he had been right after all. A slow smile spread across his muzzle, his head dipping slightly as the male approached. Hello again, Eros. He noticed the Spade shaped sapphire around his neck, his smile only widening. As if on cue, the bag he had been taking such care of started to twitch and a small orange head poked out of the top, her blue streaked nose sniffing the air before a yawn split her maw. Where are we Papa?

"You look well." he said flatly, eyeing the male a bit. He did seem happy to see him. It was funny what a bit of liquor could do to a man...make him act so different then he normally did. Blyn had not been so smiley when they first met. Though of course, he was making assumptions left and right. His tail flicked, and the debate in his mind was forgotten. "Did it tak...e...." he started to ask quickly, when he was cut off by the bag he had slung over his side. It was moving.
His ears pinned back for half a second...unsure what to make of it, when suddenly a sunset and river cub rolled it's way out of the bag. It was unmistakable. He had successfully done his job. He found his body grow stiff, and his hair stood a slight bit. This was not good. He contemplated running away, his curiousity satisfied, but that just seemed childish. He felt uncomfortible, and he didn't mind showing it with the way his ears flicked up and down undecidedly. His eyes remained half lidded and staring at the child, his look blank, but behind his eyes the cogs were working overtime.
"Capital City." the feline said, answering the child's question curtly and in a short and direct manner. It held no emotion, as if he was physically pushing her away from him with a paw. He didn't want her knowing who he was. He didn't want her trying to find him later in life. He didn't want her asking him why he wasn't with Blyn. Plain and simple he had been the sperm bank, and that was all. He didn't want to be responcible for her. He looked up at Blyn for a moment, a look that seemed to say "Why" plastered on his face.

Blyn had the good graces to look embarassed. He had thought that the kit would sleep most of the day away. It figured that she had choosen this moment to make her presence known. This was definatly not the way he had wanted for Shay'la to meet her other father. He hadn't really been sure that he wanted her to meet him at all. Simple fact was, he hadn't been able to find anyone to watch the youngster today. Of course, he could have just stayed home, but he couldn't resist the pull he had felt to go and continue his search today. He let out a hal startled chuckle. You look well too.
Eros' reaction was unmistakable. It was going to be like walking on eggshells from here on out, Blyn now needed to be careful to protect his daughter. He lifted a paw and laid it on top of her head, ruffling her head fur a bit as he looked down at her. Yes, Shay'la, dear, this is Capitol City. his head lifted to look back at Eros, whincing at his distant demeanor. This is an old friend of Papa's. He left it at that, moving his paw away from Shay'la.
The kit was apparently not shy. She canted her head to the side, her fluffy tail flicking back and forth before she looked from one male to the next. He's pretty Papa. A sweet smile split her muzzle as she stood and walked toward Eros, sitting down at his feet looking up at him. I'm Shay'la. It means Twinkle. The last sentence was rumbled as if she was far from pleased with the meaning of her name. But please don't call me Twinkle.

Eros noded once, his eyes on Blyn as he told their daughter about how he was a friend of his. His way of telling the feline that was the approved responce for this situation. He didn't want to be entangled in Shay'la's life, and more then likely she would be better for not knowing that her father was a whore. There were just things that came with that knowledge that Eros didn't want to feel responcible for. Not that he would dwell on it for very long anyway. Emotions got you killed in this world.
He watched how the child interacted with him, not suprised at how outgoing she was. Most children seemed to have this aspect of themselves. They didn't have the same inhabitions that adults always harbored. He said nothing in reguards to his outward apperance, though he couldn't help but take the compliment. It was nice to know he still had it at his age. Oh who was he kidding. He knew. He simply noded again when the child told him her name and what it meant. He could see why she got such a name. "I won't." he said shortly about the name Twinkle. He didn't much like it either. But he really had no reason to call her that anyway. With any luck he would never see her again anyway.

Shay'la smiled that heart melting smile that only kids can pull of, rather pleased that this adult seemed to understand the humiliation of such a name. She looked back over her shoulder at her father, sticking out her tongue before she turned back and studied Eros.
Blyn, unlike is daughter, was horribly uncomfortable. Can we say awkward? Of course we can. He cleared his throat and took the few steps closer to Shay'la and sat down, his tail swishing nerveously behind him. I didn't mean for, I mean, it wasn't. He stopped, taking a deep breath, trying to gather his thoughts, to pull just one of the millions running through his head. How have you been? There, that seemed safe enough. Well, at least it was better than sitting there stammering and making a complete ass out of himself. He could hear Shay'la snickering at his side, obviously enjoying his embarassment, but thankfully not understanding it.

Heart melting for some, but not for Eros. Not that he didn't recognize that was what she had given him, but Eros' heart had proven unmeltable for some time, and a smiling kid wouldn't be the first thing to change that. No...children didn't give Eros the same joy that it did most people. They were a continuation of the self, and nothing more to him. Before him stood the next generation of his bloodline, and he wasn't sure how happy about it he really was. Nothing more. He did appreciate that she had not adopted or inherited his outlook on life, at least not yet. It was a rather miserable exsistance, even if he wouldn't admit it to himself, and he wasn't sure he wanted such a thing to rub off on anyone.
Eros looked up at Blyn, discomfort evident in the morganberry's features. He snorted a short and curt snort. He was uncomfortible? He had told him part of the deal was never to meet whatever offspring they created. He supposed it was his fault for approaching the male though...of course the child would be with him if they had any. He could have just studied from afar and then bailed when he got his answer. "What's done is done." the feline said with a flick of his tail. And it was true.
An eye cocked slightly when Blyn had asked him how he was doing. When was the last time anyone had asked him that. "Surviving." he said simply, another tail flick after his brief words. Eros had never been one for long answers. It wasn't nessesary in his mind. "We are all in a bit of a bind." he said finally, deciding to answer a little more, for Blyn's sake. It was strange to talk. By 'we' he obviously meant Roxanne's gang, but he didn't feel the need to throw the word 'gang' around a small child.

Shay'la didn't seem perturbed that her smile hadn't managed to win one from Eros, she seemed to take it all into stride as she walked back to her father, nuzzling against his egg. Papa, I'm bored. . .and hungry. She sat down on her rump at his feet making sad eyes at him. Blyn mearly sighed and lifted a paw to flip his pouch over his head so that it clinked onto the ground. Placing one paw on top of it he nosed it open and nipped out a coin, setting it in front of Shay'la and looking toward the shop they were standing in front of. As luck would have it, it seemed to be a small bakery. Go and get yourself something sweet to eat and come right back. I will wait on you. He watched as she left, making sure that she got into the door with no trouble before he turned back to Eros.
He had taken the past few minutes in dealing with their daughter to think of exactly what it was he was going to say. I really hadn't meant for this to happen. I just. . .well, there was no one to watch her today, and . . . ah Eros, I just wanted to see you. He huffed at himself, having really not wanted to say that and look like an ass. He managed to close the small pouch back up and loop it over one of his legs as he sat back down. What kind of a bind are you all in? It really wasn't any of his business, but now that it had been mentioned, he couldn't help but pursue it.
