Dysthymia was thoroughly bored. He was locked in a tiny apartment with not one, not two, but three otters, and was doing his best to pretend he didn't exist by burrowing under the massive stack of blankets that served as their 'bed'. (The apartment was so small that it couldn't fit 4 beds, or even 2, in the room they shared, so they had a few mattresses piled on the floor and a crapload of blankets on them that they all huddled on) While he was quite comfortable, he was still quite bored, since none of his siblings had seen fit to bother him since their mothers had left. They knew how to get out, of course--what child didn't know how to get out of his house, even when 'locked' in?--but were collectively too lazy, and it was fairly late besides. Saethre was laying on the kitchen counter on her back, with her feet hooked on the edge of the sink to keep her anchored, and her head and paws lopsidedly hanging over the edge. Some people would get dizzy from sitting in that position for too long, but she was fairly comfortable, and was staring at the wall rather absently. After a few minutes she began wondering where Aphasia and Chiari had gone--it was a small apartment, and there weren't many places to go--and yelled out, "Aph? Ari? Where'd you go?" She knew where Mia was (hiding under some blankets) so didn't bother yelling for him.

"I'm right here, why?" Chiari asked, popping his head up and over the counter from where he'd been lying underneath of it - or rather, in the cupboards below the counter, because it was dark and creepy in there, and had lots of stuff that he wasn't supposed to touch, which just made it all the more entertaining. The purple stripe on the top of his head was turned grey with some dust that had collected down there, which had promptly rubbed off onto him during his little "adventure." All three eyes blinked curiously at his sister, the glass vial hanging around his neck as it always did. Aphasia, on the other hand, didn't exactly reply to her yell - instead, he woke up from where he'd been taking a nap, and then proceeded to try and figure out for himself where he was. There were blankets and pillows all around him (including over him) and he couldn't exactly move at the moment due to those same blankets practically binding his body. He twisted a bit, and if Mia were to look over to another corner of their "bed," he'd see what had looked like just another pile of stuff twitching spasmodically.

"Oh." Sae swiveled just a little bit to see her brother, and snickered at the cabinet he was hiding in. "I'm bored. And you're very dusty." She stated, then tried to reach over to brush it off, but her arm didn't stretch far enough in her given position, so she gave up quickly. The otter simply sat there limply for a moment, then decided she wanted down.. so let go of the sink and simply fell, twisting almost cat-like midair and landed square on her feet. She shook her body around to get the feeling of shock out of her body, then immediately walked up to his cubbord and stared into it. "Anything interesting in there?"
Dysthymia finally had to come up for air when his sister yelled, though he had no interest in coming out, especially since she hadn't called for him. He frowned a bit when some of the blankets moved, so jumped over a pile and landed on the movement, grinning when he hit something solid. "Hiding, are we?"

"Nooo..." he said, almost innocently. Almost. It was hard to be innocent when you're covered in dust and happen to have a terribly mischievous expression on your face, all three eyes crinkling in a smile. "Just some of Mommy Vessie's cooking stuff. 'Cause, you know, I thought that we might be getting...hungry some time soon. Right?" Ari gamely attempted an innocent smile, but there were the same problems as before, so he went on to carefully dusting himself off. If some of the brushed-off dust happened to land on Sae, he didn't say anything.
Aph jerked when there was suddenly a weight on top of him, a breathless little "oof" escaping before he started to writhe more than before. Unfortunately for him, that just served the purpose of getting him even more bound up, to the point where he couldn't actually move. At all. Well, he could breathe, but not particularly well, and blink, but that was really about it. He settled down, and frowned into the linen in front of his face, before giving up. "I'm stuck," he admitted, loud enough to hopefully be heard beneath the muffling blankets.

Sae eyed him, then shoved him over with a paw to look behind him for herself. "Liar." She stated remarkably nicely, then sat outside the cubbord--she may be adventurous, but she had no intention of becoming filthy. At his words, she brightened a bit, nodding slowly. "Yeah.. yeah, we might.. Say, you don't happen to remember how to make mac'n'cheese, do you?" The otter asked, her head tilting a bit.
Having pounced nicely, Dysthymia tried to settle on the pile, but it was hard to do when the pile was wiggling beneath you. The ferret frowned and tried to trap what was obviously his brother, and grinned in triumph when the motion stopped. Once Aph admitted he was stuck, Mia snickered--purposefully loud enough for his brother to hear--and got off. "Nice going. If I get you out, though, you have to promise to help ward off the boingos in there, because I'm hearing talk of cooking and all that reads is FIRE to me."

"No, I'm not," he said reflexively, but he would have said that if he heard her call him that in his sleep, however appropriate it was. Had Chiari been feeling particularly bothersome, he probably would have taken the opportunity to give his sister the biggest, warmest, grabbiest hug that he could manage, all in order to smear as much dust and dirt on her as he could. However, he wasn't feeling all that much bothersome, only slightly bored, which was why he'd been spelunking in the cupboards in the first place. The shriek he got from Mommy Vessie for seeing the dust all over her precious little girl might have been worth it, though, so he shelved the idea for a future point in time, hopefully before their mother got home.
"I...might. Maybe. I think. If she's got the box stuff, yeah, but I dunno," he finally replied, and then grinned. "Wanna help me look and see what there is? If we can't find the box stuff, we might be able to improvise..."
...his siblings were talking about cooking? And not even the one sane sibling, Aphasia reflected, but the two who were pretty much batshit crazy. They had inherited far too much of Mommy Quinn's Tulgey weird, even if Ari was the only one of the pair that actually showed it. "Deal," he snapped immediately, because the sooner he got out of there, the sooner they could save the apartment from burning down.
