ID: SD317
Name: Nocturne
Suit: Clubs
Rank: Seven
Gender: Female
Animal: Canine
Region: Selkie Lakes
Current form:
Notes:
She has a slightly over developed sense of hearing...something that could be the herald of future magical powers. <3 She had a twin brother once, named Prelude. She wandered out of the Selkie and away from their family years ago... She hasn't heard from him since.
Basic Magical Ability:
She can go two days without needing to sleep.
Moderate Magical Ability:
When activated, she can carry up to 40 lbs of extra weight for 2 hours straight, one day per week. She is left feeling tired and somewhat drained for the 24 hours following that period.
Small Power:
Once a week, she is capable of smelling colors for a full minute. She can smell what color someone should be or what they're wearing that day. Each color has a distinct smell and she can track some of them, but only for the duration of the spell.
Selkie Lakes:
Residents are usually white with pale blues and greens rippling across their bodies. They often have feathered feet and tails.
The Selkie Lakes are well known for supplying most of the clean water to the rest of the realms. Lush and somewhat damp, the residents are rumored to be a bit dim, but their trading skills certainly aren't. The members of the Selkie Lakes are thought to be a slow, cheery bunch who laze about constantly, though many residents would prove that stereotype wrong. While the ability to be astoundingly lazy is, for the most part, true, it is only due to the abundance of trade materials in and around the land. Fish, aquatic plants, and clear water itself are chief exports. They are easy for the residents to get and pawn off to other realms for insane prices. The beauty of the residents is sometimes dulled by their rough manner and stocky, muscled bodies, but the feathery fur still inspires a sense of grace and they are good at their jobs. They are highly accepting of others and are often found moving jobs around to other Realms and trying to incorporate others into their own lines. They find difference somewhat exotic and many will seek out mates who are from other places to bring home.
Clubs: The Hoof
Clubs are by far the most common Suit and they are the only ones that can occur in breedings where neither parent possessed the Suit. For example, a Spade and a Diamond have children; it is perfectly plausible for them to have one Diamond and two Clubs. The only breeding Clubs cannot occur in is one between two red Cards. Clubs are seen as the "grunts" of Society. Even their Queen is not as highly respected as any of the Other Queens, be they a better ruler or not. They are often put to use as laborers by other Suits and aren't regarded for their intellectual skill, even though many are more than qualified to be in higher positions.
The Club representation, the Hoof, represents their durability and their station as laborers; many resent the label.
