[[She's about 16/17 here, so I'm using her babyform.]] Saethre was enjoying herself. She was in a good house, had access to food (though the quality was somewhat questionable, Seth at least had more than a melon and beer in stock) and a couch, and had two adorable children to watch. Their behavior could be called into question occasionally, but generally were good kids, which made it all the more easier to be the awesome babysitter that fed them icecream and told them not to tell their parents. Today, though, it was just Seth--she assumed Heilyn was at the Courts at the moment, though she hadn't asked--so it made it even easier, since Seth tended to come home and fall asleep without asking any questions. A tub of ice cream wouldn't hurt them much, would it? It's not like they had it daily.. it was more like every other day. And she made them work it off. Kinda. The otter flopped over the back of the couch and spread-eagled on it, starting a mental countdown in her head. Seth had just walked out the door, which meant she was liable to be run over by one (or both) of the kids if they knew she was here, so the soft surface was the safest place. The bat hadn't informed the two he was leaving, though, so she might have some time to herself. Maybe. Probably not. |

Rhiannon was asleep. At least, she had been, until the sharp sound of the door closing reached her ears. She continued to lay where she was, ears twitching before she turned to nose her brother. Perfect, he was still sound asleep. She wormed out from next to him, very careful not to disturb him, and then trotted to the door. After a moment she dropped to her belly, slinking out of the room as quietly as she could, until she reached the edge of the couch. She could smell the otter, knew that she was nearby, and she struggled to keep her tail from wagging too quickly.
She hesitated at the edge of the couch, her wings spreading slightly, and then she leapt onto the couch in a single mighty bound! As she flew through the air, landing on the other with a great "oof!", playfully nipping at the other girl eagerly. "SAEEEEEEEEE~" she cried eagerly.
"Sae, Sae, you're here!" she exclaimed happily, licking the otter's face. She loved when the girl came to take care of them. She always let her and her brother do whatever they damn well pleased.

[Guh, finally the muse hits. >> ] Hadrian was finally asleep after two days of not doing so. He was asleep on his back, limbs spread helter-skelter, tongue lulling out of an open mouth, and snoring quietly. He remained fast asleep through all his sister's actions right up to the point that she yelled Sae's name. Jolted suddenly from sleep, a loud yelp that sounded half like the snore it had interrupted escaped him as limbs flailed and body twisted in a thoroughly amusing attempt to get on his feet. When he finally succeeded, he scrambled into the living room to see what all the noise was about. "SAE!" he yipped in his own excitement, sprinted over to the Otter. He jumped up onto the couch to assist his sister in the assault of their babysitter. A barrage of licks and playful biting ensued. |

The otter had gotten down to three and three quarters before she suspected she wasn't alone - the gentle whoosh-ing of Rhi's tail gave her away a few scant seconds before there was a multi-colored pooch landing on her with a huge grin. Saethre swung her arms up a tad too late and was immediately covered in excessive amounts of Rhiannon-slobber before she was able to push the girl back enough to see again. "Totally!" She exclaimed in reaction, grinning.
She didn't get anything else out before Hadrian abruptly rushed into the room and jumped on her as well, and the teenager struggled to keep both of them out of her face long enough to grin at him too. "Hey Hady!" She said in greeting, then began absently tickling both of them as best as was possible in her current position. "Whatcha guys wanna do tonight? We got allll night, your daddy's not gonna be back 'till I'm nearly passed out," Sae said cheerfully, still tickling them; coherant responses weren't exactly necessary.

Rhiannon let out a crazed shriek of delight as the otter began to tickle her, becoming a desperately wriggling bundle of limbs. She squirmed out of Sae's grip, narrowing her eyes and growling ever so softly at the other girl, her tail waggling faster than ever before. She lunged again, tripping all over her brother and nipping at his ears and tail whenever she could, growling playfully all the while. Of course, she was still young, and it didn't take a whole lot of that kind of rough play before she managed to tire herself out, and rolled away from all the excitement, pressing her cold and wet nose against Sae's neck.
"We should..." she began, voice conspiratorily low as she spoke, glancing around to make sure no one else could hear them. "Eat lotsa ice cream, an', an'... Visit the red light district." it was a completely bizzare suggestion, but it made perfect sense to Rhiannon to bring it up. After all, her parents had always been eerily quiet on the subject, simply telling their children to never go there.
What they didn't know couldn't hurt them, right?

A strange noise escaped Hadrian that was somewhere between a giggle and a playful growl when he was being tickled. His tail wagged faster and he held his mouth open in an attempt to bite at her hands, but the tickling left him quite inflexible and unable to reach it. When she finally let up, Hadrian wiggled to his feet and pounced the Otter and began wrestling her. He stopped when Rhi spoke.
"Do they have ice cream shops in the red light district?!" Hey, why not kill two birds with one stone? It sounded like a great idea to him! Except for the fact that he seemed to have forgotten their parents told them to never go near that cesspool.
"And then we should tell scary stories.... while eating more ice cream!" Hadrian was very, very proud of himself for coming up with such a brilliant plan.

Saethre quickly became preoccupied with wrestling with a puppy - why couldn't Seth have had kids with a more calm animal? Geez! - and managed to tackle him and gently sit on him before she found Rhiannon in her arms, pressing an icey cold nose onto her neck. The otter gently scooted her neck away so it wasn't freezing her quite so bad, then pretended to think about their suggestions.
"The red light district? Why not the green or purple light districts? No one ever thinks to go there, geez, come on! Give the other colors some love!" She said in pretend-shock, as if they had missed something completely obvious. "As for ice cream, totally. What else am I here for?"
She abruptly shoved them both gently off of the couch, and bounced over to the cooler to check the food stocks. There was plenty of ice cream, but nothing overly interesting - and going out of the house seemed like a good idea since both of them were quite hyped up. "Tell ya what. I'll let you both get an icey pop in the purple district if you both promise not to tell your daddy where I took you. Kay? I want secret handshakes on this!" Sae stated, glaring at them.
The purple district was merely the bazaar downtown, but how were they going to know that if she made it into a game?

At the word purple, Rhiannon perked up instantly, pointy ears standing tall and tail waggling happily. She and Majesty Xiven both had the color mixed along their coats, and she did so love the color... It was much more charming than red, that was for sure, and she knew that the purple light district would be the same! If she knew how skillfully Saethre had just played her she would likely be angry... but she didn't have any clue whatsoever and so remained completely cheerful.
"The purple light district..." she said, voice soft with awe. "I've never even heard of that before. That must mean it's super secret, right?" After all, that could be the only possible explanation. Her parents were trying to keep something amazing like this a secret from her! How cruel.
Fumbling, her paw shot out, landing atop Saethre's. If she needed to give the secret handshake in return for a trip to a secret place where she could get icey pops... She would give it without complaint.

Hadrian cocked his head in clear confusion of the thing he'd never heard of either. OH! AND IT WAS A SECRET, TOO! His eyes lit up and his whole body reacted to show excitement. A super secret and he was being let in on it! His front feet padded the floor in rapid motions and the wagging of his tail threatened his balance.
"YES!" he yipped, "Go there! We should go there!" he bounced in a circle then came back to the two. Then he did a rather strange thing. He tried to offer a paw for super secret handshake, but in his excitement, couldn't quite bring himself to stop the motion of his front paws. One would raise to shake and waver in the air, but then quickly be returned to the ground and replaced by the other paw until one of the paws was grabbed and shaken for him.

Hook, line and sinker. This was too easy.
"Yeah, my mommy wouldn't tell me until I was nearly twelve, but I think you guys are smart enough to handle it." She said confidentally, then feigned a worried look. "But I dunno.. your Seth-daddy might be mad at me if he found out I ever took you there.. it's kinda dangerous.." The otter put a paw contemplatively on her chin and examined the children as if measuring their confidence.
As soon as the children held up their paws she went into a complicated series of motions that involved a few spins, several paw-slaps and ended up a dramatic high-five that more than likely would require a jump. "Now that we've done the super-secret handshake you have to do exactly what I tell you, or we'll be discovered down there. Got it?"
