Nikoli lumbered down the street, head swinging left and right as he took in the strange sights of the city. He'd only arrived today and was already bewildered and shell-shocked; this was nothing like the glacier. But to tell the truth, this feline was very glad of the fact. His kind was too barbaric for his tastes. He couldn't stand the way they would treat outsiders, how they would laugh to themselves as they watched someone wander in a blizzard until they froze to death. No, Nikoli saw outsiders as people he could learn from. And if that meant leaving the glacier, then so be it. Taking a breather, he found a spot under a tree and settled himself to where he could watch others go by. He knew he got curious looks every now and then, but he grew used to it very quickly. He figured that his kind were rarely seen around these parts, though he knew he was not the only Solandrian to leave the glacier. He couldn't see why not many would leave. The city seemed a lovely place, much nicer than the harsh place of his birth. ...but why did it have to be so horribly warm?

Vessatha was.. bored. She still had nothing to do, and while she wasn't hungry at the moment, she was in dire need of entertainment. What was better than finding strangers in the middle of an unknown city and messing with them? Absolutely nothing, that's what! So the ferret took off at a trot, scanning the streets for anyone that looked either a) lost or b) as bored as she was. The former was easy to recognize, as she'd been in the same state just a few days ago, and the latter.. well, hopefully there weren't too many people as bored as she was around. Vessatha quickly spotted Nikoli--how many bright blueandyellow felines with enormous amounts of fur were there, anyways?--panting a bit, and figured that even if he wasn't lost or bored, he stuck out a bit, and that was good enough for her. So she approached him with a bit of a smile.. and tried to keep the mischeviousness out of it. "You look warm. Want some water?"A jug of water appeared next to her, and she pushed it to him witha paw. "I doubt it's freezing, but it should be at least a bit chilled if you grab it quickly."

Hearing someone approach, Nikoli swiveled his head to the side to watch an unknown ferret saunter up as calm as you please. Used to people with ulterior motives, he held his trust in reserve, giving her a wary glace. The one thing that was in her favor was that she was, in fact, a spade like he was. Though that didn't keep her in too high regard. It was just one thing, probably the only thing, they had in common.
He looked down suspiciously at the water she conjured, but since it was obviously normal water, he decided to take her up on her offer. Carefully lifting the jug with both of his paws, he drunk the water down quickly, savoring the cool liquid as it slid down his throat. When he was done, he set the jug down as carefully as he picked he had picked it up, then looked at the other spade.
"I give you my thanks, stranger. My name is Nikoli, by what may I call you?" Well, maybe he should return what seemed to be, hopefully, kindness with kindness, he might have an easier time of it in the city.

((Sorry, sorry. Don't shoot me! x3))
In respose to his wary look, Vessatha just grinned. Perhaps it wasn't the best reaction, as her grin was something just short of malicious, but she couldn't bring herself to smile nicely. Every time she tried, it just came out looking very, very fake, and almost-nasty had to be better than fake.
The ferret watched him calmly as he figited with the jug, but finally managed to drink it. It had taken her quite a bit of time to figure out exactly how a creature with no hands--or even thumbs!--was supposed to use a jug, but the trick was just to hold on tightly. Even though conjured, the jugs did break.. she'd found that out the hard way. "No problem. I'm Vessatha."
She continued to watch him in an interested fashion, as if she was trying to figure out what she could do to annoy him.. and really, she was doing just that. Vessa hadn't gotten to do anything fun in days, and he was a prime target.. and if he played along, well, that would be even better.

Well, that was certainly a grin only a mother could be proud of, Nikoli thought to himself as the ferret grinned at him. It looked very...ominous. He should probably stay careful around her, since she looked the type to cause mischief. He wanted no trouble here, but if she was going to give it to him, he'd most likely return the favor.
"Well, Vessatha, I am in your debt. Is there something, within reason, I can do to repay you?" he asked, wondering if saying that had been a good idea. Eh, maybe he should have just kept his mouth shut and left after saying thanks. Well, it was too late now.
Looking over at her, he noticed that she was staring at him, as if looking for something. It made him slightly uncomfortable, but he was used to stares by now, so it wasn't too much of a problem. He just wished he knew why she found him so interesting.

Since Nikoli was watching her quite warily, she managed to tamper her grin down to a large smile.. which in the end wasn't much different, but it made her feel a bit better. After a few moments she began trying to figure out where he was from. It was a bit of a game to her, trying to remember the regions and what they looked like. She lost everytime, but it was something to do at least.
Berry-something? No, no. Highlands? No, too dark for that. Wasn't there one with a Bog and Rae-something? Vessatha had no idea, but thankfully he spoke and interrupted her thoughts.
She almost responded immediately, but paused, and deflated, at the 'within reason'. He was being far too nice about this, and it was making her feel guilty. A bit. Just a tad. "I suppose running around in the fountain with a silly hat on your head isn't something you'd be willing to do? I'm quite bored, you know, and that would be awfully entertaining."
