"We thould do that one thing!" Sid announced cheerfully, back to bounding around the stage excitedly. "Where there'll be clownth and tumblerth and vampireth and pirateth!" He made a few circles before glancing thoughtfully towards Mirriam. "But thuperheroeth thound good, too!"
When Levi sent him off of the stage, the deer mix gallomped on down, with a happy, 'Okay!" He was quick to mingle among the newcomers, not exactly looking for anyone he knew as he was too excited for such logical thought. He would mingle among and through the crowd, too wound up to stay in one spot for long.
"Yay!" he cheered as Levi began his speech confidently. "We can all be vampireth!!!" He beamed benevolently up at his brother on the stage, certain that everyone would want to be a vampire with him; they would be great vampires. He was already certain of it.

Joel had arrived at the designated place among a small crowd of other children, most older than his tender seven years. Still, he seemed quite at ease, smiling in a welcoming manner at no one in particular and basically waiting for something interesting to happen. He waved one oversized paw at Mirriam. He was fairly confident that the little bat would spot him, if only because he towered over many of the children, even those twice his age. Joel would have called out, but his mouth was occupied by the folded papers on which his play was scribbled in purple crayon. There was no doubt in his mind that his literary masterpeice (a story of jungle adventurers who meet a tribe of wild lobster-people) would be well received by the other kids. After all, it had everything: Action, adventure, humor, romance... exoskeletons...

Mirriam grinned at Silas. "I'm good! How about you? Isn't this so exciting? I've never been in a play before!" She would probably have continued to try and talk the mix's ear off, but he had already tromped off, putting off the sort of vibes adults did before they told her to go play somewhere else. Her ears went down briefly in confusion, wondering why he didn't seem to be in a good mood, but before she could think of following, her attention was quickly drawn back to Sid and Levi.
"Oh oh like a circus? That's what that sounds like to me," Mirriam said to Sid. She'd never actually been to a circus, but she'd been told about it, and she remembered it had a bunch of strange things like that! Maybe she could ask Mr. Birdy Man if they could go to one! She'd never seen any of those things and she'd love to see a real live pirate!
"Ohhh, okay," she said to Levi happily, even though she had no idea what that book series was. She happily fluttered over with the rest of the crowd to listen to Levi...and that's when she noticed a familiar form among the crowd.
"JOEL!" she yelled happily, and ran over to nuzzle him. "Have you seen any cool bugs lately? OH! Did you write a play too? What's it about? Can I have a cool part in it?" She was grinning excitedly by now, eyes shining. This was going to rock! Her own play was still held in one of her claws, crumpled a bit, but that should be fine! "Joel Joel this is my new friend Sid! He's a pirate but he likes vampires too!" She pointed excitedly to the fanged horse.
