Okay so . . . I realize that I have been away from the board for goodness knows how long. I really want to apologize to everyone that has been inconvenienced in any way by this, in any way.
I swear in my being away it hasn't been all sunflowers and giggles. After moving from Connecticut to Louisiana - a huge change - Ku's been having various medical stuff come up. From the bladder infection to a kidney stone to various other things I don't think you want to know hear me go off about > >;; Ku's also been full of anxiety attacks too. Those are fun!
A week before Ku went home for Christmas one of our cats, we've had her for about 6-7 years, had to be put down. It really took all of us by surprise and Ku was an emotional wreck for a days after. We only now have learned that she had, wot we are pretty sure was, cancer of the gallbladder. The fact that none of us were able to catch that she had been sick for years . . . is harsh to say the least.
Ku's finally been able to get a part-time job on campus and has an interview tomorrow morning for a position Ku really wants. Hopefully, God willing, I might even have a place of my own by the end of Feb.
I really do hope that I will be able to come back full blast soon. I am going to make my utmost effort. Clean and close up so old threads, start forcing replies. Any help and support anyone can offer is greatly appreciated. Again, I am sorry to any one and everyone I have let down in any way.

D: Oh man, that's just....awful. *hugs you* I am so sorry for all that... But about the cat, it's not in any way your fault. Cats just naturally hide it when they're sick. :\ That's so sad though...
If I can help in any way let me know. *hug*

When we finally figured out something really wasn't right she was suffering from liver failure and was at the stage where she could go into a fatal seizure at a moments notice.
It was definitely something very gradual and looking back we now see it. She had been sick for a good four years or so. We took her to the military vet back in June when she stopped eating and they just said to change her food from dry to wet. The civilian vet, the one who put her down, said that that was one of the warning signs that something more wasn't right and it shouldn't have been overlooked like that (by a vet). I know my mom feels really guilty that we did push the issue more and just took what the vet said without really questioning it. We've gotten to the stage where we are glad that she isn't in pain anymore.
---
Wandering around, and with a few pokes, I have noticed there a few threads I have been very negligent on o O;;; All of them without intent. If there is a thread I have promised to make an appearance in or owe a reply please do feel free to post or poke me. Snot, you probably deserve to yell at me. Things did get put in the back of Ku's mind on a 'to do list' and got unintentionally forgotten.
Gomen again. I've managed to make a few replies tonight and hopefully with some more pokes I can keep it up.
You guys are wonderful and awesome <333

Awwww, my little buddy ish gone? She was just the cutest little thing <3
If it makes you feel any better I didn't notice anything funny about her behaviour (medical wise... it was hilarious to watch her try and maul that scuff on the floor), and I've done work in vet's offices and stoof. Socks seemed like a perfectly healthy, happy, spoiled feline. You guys treat yer critters so well <3
And... yay! job. Good luck in your interview! Hope it goes well! don't be nervous either... Ku is awesome <3
