This was probably a horrible idea, but she felt morally obligated to see her parents. Her father in particular. He was, after all, the responsible one, and well... he deserved to know the truth she supposed. Sage bit down on her cheek as she lead the man behind her through the Wood. It wasn't very far until they made it to the house. The woman was blissfully unaware of the troubles with her mother. She knocked lightly on the door. It only took a few moments for the door to open. A human man was standing there with a rather annoyed expression on his face. It changed completely when he saw his daughter standing there. "Sage! I haven't seen you in--Who... is that?""Hi Daddy!" She said cheerfully, hugging the man happily. She moved inside motioning for Hadrian to follow her. "I wanted to have a nice talk with you and Mom about something...."He looked clearly suspicious. "Your mother is asleep, but... I'll go make some tea for you and your friend. Make yourself comfortable." He shut the door behind the Glacier dweller before stalking into the kitchen.

The closer they got to their destination, the more nervous Hadrian got. With Anoushka's and his father's death and being left with a small child, it left him thinking. Perhaps it was time for a change of pace. Something. Anything. He needed something stable in his life right now. At the court, he met Sage. Ever since he'd met her, he'd been diligently trying to get her in bed. Most of his advances went right over her head. Then, not soon after he'd had a change of heart about his lifestyle, his flirtatious actions had finally been successful. Now he here he was with a gorgeous woman, the first one he'd ever attempted monogamy with. He gave a nervous smile and a nod when the man opened the door and greeted them. He followed in behind Sage, letting her speak first. This... meeting the parents thing unnerved him. he hadn't been very successful keeping to just Sage, so he figured meeting her parents would help him.

Sage brightly offered Hadrian a seat. She was disappointed that her mother wasn't awake, but she wasn't about to argue with her Daddy. Really, her mother would probably just... make things more complicated. She wasn't exactly the most normal person. Of course Sage had no idea how bad it had gotten since her father had said nothing, and Rosemary had no real desire to elaborate on the subject.
So she took a seat on the sofa, making sure that Hadrian was comfortable before sinking into her seat.
It didn't take long for Kazifel to come back with the tea. He was humming quietly as he was pouring the three cups, offering one to Sage and Hadrian before taking his own. He took as seat in an arm chair across from them.
His daughter had brought an outsider into their home. His baby girl. It was a man. Only bad could come of this. He cleared his throat as he awaited a proper explanation from his daughter.
"Daddy... This is Hadrian. I wanted to let you know that uh... I..." she shifted for a moment, turning her tea in her hand. "Hadrian and I are thinking of having a serious relationship."
The man didn't look happy. In fact he looked like he was going to strangle someone with his eyes. "Mr.... Hadrian. How serious have you and my daughter been?"

The man was humming. This boded well for this meeting. Hadrian smiled widely in an attempt to put on a friendly mask to hide his nervousness as he took a cup. He sniffed the tea then took a sip. It was of course, at that moment that Sage blurted out her statement. Hadrian prompted choked on the tea he'd swallowed. He hastily put down the cup and continued coughing, turning very pink. Thankfully it had only been a sip. He recovered fairly quickly.
"You... you don't waste any time, do you?" he whispered to her. With his ears pinned flat against his head, he turned back to Kazifel. He almost correct him in an attempt to be friendly ("Please, just Hadrian."). However, now was probably not the time.
"I... Sir, I... serious? I don't know what you mean," he cleared his throat, "I adore Sage, if that's what you mean." He looked back to Sage for back up.

Sage choked back a whimper and shot Hadrian an apologetic look. She mouthed the words of "I'm nervous, I'm sorry." When he looked at her again. As it was she took several deep breaths and took a long sip of tip while Hadrian spoke.
Her Daddy didn't seem happy at all. Maybe she should have thought better of this and let Rosemary break the news?
"Yes! He's really sweet to me Daddy," Sage set her tea down and illustrated how close she was to the man by lacing her arms around one of his and giving it a light squeeze. She gave her father a rather bright smile.
That didn't seem to make things better.
Kazifel's lips twitched into a smile as he leaned forward to set his tea down. He slowly laced his fingers together as he looked the man up and down. Outsider. With his daughter. Someone with his baby. "You know exactly what I mean, the both of you. So please don't pretend. Mr. Hadrian... have you had sex with my daughter? Because I know full well that she's been a virgin for quite sometime, and my guess is... she's not thanks to you."
Sage couldn't really find any words to make this situation better. Because, damn, that hole was a lot deeper than she thought it was going to be and she had barely said anything to begin with.

Hadrian smiled and nodded at Sage's words, placing a hand over the arm wrapped around his. Then just when he started to feel better, Kazi spoke up again. His mouth dropped open and he stared at the man.
"I... whu..." he was at a complete loss for words. He stared for a very long time at him, mouth gaping open and incoherent noises escaping him. He looked to Sage completely lost. He took a deep breath and turned back to the man.
"I... treat her very well, sir. I would never hurt her. Ever."

No. That wasn't what the man wanted to hear. Really, it didn't matter what the man heard at all. Hadrian was already a villain. A villain who had taken his darling baby daughter's virginity. The look on his face twisted into one that spoke volumes. Volumes of "I'm going to kick your sorry ass."
Sage squeaked, as she shifted to get in between her father and Hadrian. "D-Daddy! Hadrian he--Daddy please? Please listen?"
Kazifel growled. After a few deep breaths he said in the most civil voice possible, "Sage... I need to have a nice long talk with Mr. Hadrian. And I promise you I won't do anything to hurt him. Even though he has no right to lay a finger on you."
The woman drooped, her eyes wide as she stared at her father. "Daddy... please... please don't be so angry."
"I just need to speak to your boyfriend alone. We need to have a nice little talk. I'm not angry. Not one bit." All the while he was staring a hole through his daughter at Hadrian.
The woman hesitated for a moment. Awkwardly she took a few steps forward to give her father a kiss on the cheek she walked past him she turned around. "I'm going to get some tea cakes." After a few moments they were left alone.
Kazifel was still sitting with his fingers laced together as he looked at the coyote in front of him. He slowly unlaced them and stood, it didn't take much to close the gap between him and Hadrian. He stood there in front of him with a smile on his face. "Let's get this straight, Mr. Hadrian. Sage is my precious baby girl, and so help me Suits if you break her heart I will leave these Woods and I will find you. And when I find you I will make you tear off your own manhood. So if you're not serious about my daughter I suggest that you break it off with her today otherwise I can promise you you'll regret being born. Do you understand me?"

Hadrian sank into his seat as Kazifel glared death at him and chased Sage out of the room. Then it was just two. Hadrian shut his mouth and nodded at strategic moments of being lecture.
"Sir, please. I... if I weren't serious, why would I, an outsider, come to the Tulgey Wood to meet her parents? There's a lot going on in my life right now that does not need this stress added to it, but I came here simply because she asked me to. She's the first girl I've ever wanted to be something more than just friends with benefits. I understand you, completely. I do. I have a son, I understand the need to protect your child." He quickly stop talking. He was starting to get good at stopping himself from rambling too much, though he seemed oblivious to the facts about himself that could potentially be destructive. His eyes flickered over too the door way where Sage left from. Baby, come on. Any moment now, please. Don't leave me here any longer.

Kazifel stared at him, his expression blank for a few moments. He didn't need added stress? Oh BOOHOO. At least he had a fucking life that wasn't falling apart around him and he--he had a SON? At his age?
It was a quick and graceful motion "Loss," the man said with a smile as he activated his Jack ability while touching the man's nose. He sighed as he retracted his hand. Taking a seat besides the man he smiled.
"I'm sure Sage has told you absolutely nothing about my past. She's a good girl unlike her sister Rosemary. You see I have been... through hell and back. I was stuck in the body of a doll for... twenty years I think thanks to my crazy Corvie sister who was killed by a Queen of Hearts. I finally ended up here. Magically got better. My wife almost died giving birth to five children. Blah blah blah. Now my son is dead, my wife is batshit crazy, my one daughter seems to be turning into a book and happened to get a King of Hearts pregnant, and now my daughter is coming home with a strange man who can't even say "Yes, Sir, I understand." Do you know what any of that is like Hadrian? Do you have any idea how close I am to breaking your face for sullying my sweet darling daughter?"
He laughed. It actually sounded like a genuine laugh even if it was a little... off.
"Hadrian, I will teach you meaning of the word stress if you want me to. So do me a favor, and promise me that you won't lead my innocent daughter along?"
Jack's Ability: He can make another person numb by touching them and thinking or saying the word "loss". They will suddenly be devoid of all senses except for sight and hearing. This will probably cause them to fall tot he ground in shock at first as they will not be able to feel their own bodies. They will however, be able to function again soon. They will not feel pain, taste, smell anything, or be able to feel that they are touching anything...if sent into battle this way...it would be extremely hard. if not impossible, for them to tell when they were near death. Can be used once per day and lasts two hours.

Hadrian made an odd, strangled gasp as he suddenly lost all feeling. Startled, he fell over on the couch and flailed, unable to feel that the couch was actually supporting him. He worked it out after a few moments, but by then he was being talked to again.
Hadrian just nodded. He tried to speak, but the words came out odd and mushy. He was completely unaware that he'd bitten his own tongue. He slowly sat back up, staring straight back at the man, not seeing the bit of blood he'd left on the couch. He left it at a nod, too terrified to stare at the doorway again. For the love of the Suits, when was Sage coming back?
It was beyond bizarre to move with no feeling. He guessed he would be able to talk, now that he was used to moving, but he kept his mouth shut. He had a feeling turning this into a contest would just make it worse. Not that he wanted to. The man obviously had a rough past and Hadrian was not about to belittle it with his own problems. He would just bow his head and nod until he let him leave. Suits, Sage, come back now, please!
