Sabe was in all good moods as he walked up to the guards and passed them with a simple hello and telling them that he had already set up an appointment. Witch it was true. He had sent word before hand to arrive to the Queen. He was now ready to complete his queen quest. He was proud and ready to receive his new title and become one of the Courts. He would enter the great hall and continue to the desk that would direct him to the Queens Office. He informed them that he had someone that would be coming as well to meet with the Queen that a Club. The person behind the desk would nod and direct him to a seat and send word to the awaiting Queen. Sabe would take a seat on one of the chairs designed for those with wings. It was a good sturdy chair with no back so that he could have his wings still laid against his back without fear of damaging his feathers. Though the chairs were not designed for those that had two sets. So he would have to maneuver himself in it so that he wouldn't damage the white wings either. He would take the seat and then hold tightly to the walking stick that he now carried around with himself all the time. It was a sturdy oak wood with a gnarled top with many twigs and small limbs that came off to the top. He would wait here for someone to come, for Zub to arrive and then the awaiting Queen and his assistant.

For all the pride that Sabe was filled with, Zuberi seemed equally morose. No smile was on her face; only a grim determination of what had to be done. Being in the Court of Clubs... it was a strange sensation. She had hardly gotten used to the grand Court of Hearts before finding herself thrust into the Palace of her Suit. The place that should be her pride. Zuberi continued down the hallways, led by a servant that would take her to where she was to wait. Zuberi hoped she wasn't late, and it seemed she wasn't, for there was Sabe in the waiting room, sitting as a gentleman would in one of the chairs. He seemed so prideful of this day, so glorious to him. It was almost a mockery of her own mood. She forced the smallest, most polite of smiles, but it did not take long for the corners of her lips to a more thoughtful frown as she took a seat. She merely gave Sabe a polite nod, finding it appropriate to strike conversation in the waiting room.

Sabe would be sitting just like he was in that chair, strait backed so that he looked proud and ready for anything that the world could throw at him. He still wore the same smile that showed that he was truly happy about this occasion. He was full of pride for his suit and for his accomplishments. He was after all a mail currierr at first, then owned his business and then now after that became a queen in the Courts. This day was to be the first day of the rest of his life if he was able. This was the thing of dreams to him.
He then saw Zuberi walking down the halls twoards him, so as a gentlemen as he was did he stand up and give her a small bow from the neck. Then he would straiten to his full height and smile at her as he walked up to her giving the servant a small nod to dismiss him and then gave her a small friendly hug. He would then back away and smile some more,
"It is good to see you Zuberi, I hope that your trip to the Court of Hearts was easy going... and your trip to her safe and comfortable." he said in a calm voice... though once he noticed the small frown starting to develop did he raise an eye brow and then ask yet another question, "Is everything ok?" he asked taking a pace closer to her.

Zuberi accepted the hug with some level of awkwardness. People touching her. It.. felt strange sometimes. She had to remind herself that he didn't mean any harm. She put a hand on his arm and gave it a pat. "I'm fine. I... just want to make sure we bring him to justice, is all."
She then pulled away from his grasp, wrapping her arms around herself unsurely. She just wanted the meeting to go ahead and start. She wanted it -all- to be over.
"...Have you been waiting long?" Zuberi asked with a glance around the room, keeping her voice somewhat low so as not to make the secretary at the desk look up at them. She wouldn't think that they were keeping the Queen waiting; Sabe would have probably looked.. quite a bit more stressed if that had been the case.

No, that was not the case here, having the queen wait on the two of them. He made sure that he was here a bit early just in that event. The early bird got the worm after all, right?
He saw her discomfort and walked over to a chair that had a human one next to it. He would sit and pat the one next his.
"It's okay, Zub. I will do it, as I promised that I would do it, and I keep my promises."
He gave her the best smile that he could muster, for her and her alone. He had meant it for comfort and nothing more. He would turn his thoughts to other things as he sat there, things like how is was going to feel to be someone in power, someone who could change things around the courts, to change a whole suit for the better. He would smile at those thoughts. . .

Before Zuberi could settle herself in the human-accommodating chair - or not, as was her preference - the door opened and an attendant stepped out, telling them that the King of Clubs would see them now. Her Highness Anoushka was to conduct the final examination of his Queen's Quest and then offer her recommendation to the Queen.
When they entered by the door the attendant held for them, they would find an elderly wolf sitting behind the Queen's desk and looking at them with sharp eyes. Sabe would of course recognize her as the testy woman he'd dealt with before. She offered him a polite nod but no spoken greeting before her eyes flicked to the Midori woman and stayed. Slowly her expression changed from political neutral to wary curiosity and interest.
"And you vould be the individual that may prove useful to our Court. I must say, I've never seen somevon qvite like you before. The Beach, correct?" With that hair, she couldn't be anything else. But her skin... and mutations... what a freak. This had to be a backwater hick from somewhere far away from civilization. Quite a few things set Anoushka's fur to bristling the wrong way just by looking at her.
And yet... and yet... it was up to Sabe to explain himself. And her. Hmph. Fine. She gave him a pointed Look and Eyebrow, encouragement to speak.

Well what ever Sabe was about to say was drawn away from him when he spotted the attendant step out guiding them towards the Queens office, even though it was Anoushka that they were seeing instead of the Queen himself. It was ok though, he knew that it would be this testy wolf that would be handling his queenship instead of the Queen. He wouldn't take no mind as he entered before Zuberi did.
He quickly noticed the way that Anoushka looked at her and knew that without a doubt that she probably didn't like Zub at all. He gave a mental sigh and continued with what he was here to do. And that was to get accepted into the courts and have Zub here as one of his retainers. He listened to what she had to say before he spoke with a slight bow at the waist.
"Yes, this is Zuberi from the Midori Beach, this is the person that I have found during my travels as a courier that would be beneficial to the Court of Clubs." He said as he lifted himself from his bow and proceeded to have a seat in another one of the chairs. He never did like to stand when others where sitting. He gave a slight smile and spoke once more. "And it is good to see you once more Your Highness Anoushka."
It was always impolite to not great someone after a while, no?

Zuberi's mouth opened to say something, but she took notice of how her eyes cut from her to Sabe, and her jaw quickly shut and merely gave a nod. Sabe spoke up very much on cue, with all the gallantry that he'd seemed to have acquired throughout the years.
What was it with the Torques in the Courts? It seemed they were just -swarming- from the shadows in their disturbing chains and ropes and piercings. These thoughts of course, were kept to herself as she followed suit and found a seat. She wasn't sure if she should speak yet, so she kept her mouth shut to wait until she was beckoned to do so. Her status on her chest may have allowed her some level of equality with these people regardless of station, but the old habits of being an eight of clubs were hard to wear away. It had only been.. a few months since her sudden jump in rank?

Her rank alone could potentially make her useful. Every face Card that they could find and affiliate themselves with was beneficial to the Court. At the very least, it kept them abreast of news about their high-ranking subjects so that unpleasantness could be spotted before it got out of hand and tarnished their name. Hopefully. Sometimes.
"Yes, yes, it's very good to see you back and hopefully successful. You didn't dawdle either. Good initiative. Now..." She fixed her gaze on Zuberi, trying to figure out what the most disturbing part of this woman could be. It was difficult to tell. "Vhy have you agreed to come here vith Sabe, and of vhat specific use do you think you can be to this Court? There are of course many opportunities here, not only for those seeking a title or the job of a servant. If I agree vith vhat you say, I vill grant him his Qveenship vith us." So speak wisely, girl, or just leave.

Sabe couldn't quite believe it right now, he had his whole life hanging onto what Zuberi was going to say. That in her words would either break him or make him for the rest of his days here in the courts. He knew what he had her here for, to help advise himself and to lend him support when needed on matters that were outside of his control.
So he would have to wait, not going to pressure her into saying something that would alert the other into thinking that this was all some sort of hoax. Which it wasn't, so he would remain silent to not been seen as putting words in her mouth. Zuberi could handle this one on her own and he wouldn't have to even say a word. They were friends after all right?
He would shift a bit in his seat as he gripped the top of his walking stick a bit harder, dodging the small spikes that would have otherwise impaled his hand long ago, but with careful placing did he find a rather comfortable place to put his hand on and even use it a functional walking stick.
