"I wasn't implying you'd want me to, but if this is going to mess with you like your facial expression is reflecting it will...." She dropped off and sighed. "If you think it's buried, I'll drop it. Just keep in mind that most of my job is making sure you don't fall off cliffs, be they mental or physical, okay?"
The thought of Quinn with muffins was enough to make her snigger. "I think it would be a mutual squishing incident, actually."
The ferret briefly wondered who would be dumb enough to let the cayote babysit. Did they want their kids upended in a pond somewhere? "Rarely do I feel sympathy for children, but I think I'll make an exception in his case." She then laughed outright at the thought of her many grandchildren overtaking Donnie's office. "Oh, they're a loud, rowdy weird bunch. There's a bunch of winged deer in the mix; they compliment Zether's gooeyness quite well, I assure you." Vessatha wondered if she could get Chiari to bring his brood up sometime soon.. it was always entertaining to watch the staff go nuts over some strange children.
"Tedious process. I'm still wondering why we even need men.. it's not like they serve any real imperative biological function."

"So long as the cliff doesn't lead to a plateau leading to another cliff, I think I'll be alright," Donnie said with a self-mocking smile. "If it does, then maybe I'll bring it up. Otherwise it's just left dead and buried. Thanks." She trusted the ferret as her King to keep an unconfirmed sordid tidbit to herself until she learned more. Which hopefully she wouldn't. It would just sound stupid, desperately pathetic, and embarrassing, whereas it hadn't been any of those things during the night in question.
Deer mixed in with the ferret and the otter? "I'm sure the anatomy is something to behold," she agreed, snorting. There were probably interesting colors blended in too, whichever of Vessie's offspring had boinked a deer. With wings. Heh.
"I've thought on the man question more than once. Some people seem inordinately fond of them and really, I couldn't tell them they were wrong for liking a man. Just dim. Or maybe they're getting something I just can't appreciate. It just comes in an ugly, stupid, thoughtless package more often than not." She rolled her eyes. Generalizations could be so much easier sometimes...

Vessatha gave her Queen another long, penetrating look, but in the end just shrugged. If she felt she could handle it, she could handle it. Hopefully she'd just make good on her word and come for a chat if it turned out otherwise. In the meantime she'd just keep up on servant gossip to keep in tune with the situation.
"It's not as bad as you'd expect," She replied blithely. "They can all walk, at least. Not too many hoof-flipper combinations came out." She snorted, remembering when she'd tried to come up with the worst combinations she could think of when Helen had been pregnant. Thankfully none of them had come to fruition.
"Agreed. Totally agreed. As my own children have proven, men are just stupid most of the time." Vessie sighed heavily. The boys were stupid, and Saethre kept involving herself with stupid boys. It was a never-ending cycle. If she ever (Suits forbid) had another litter, she was going to beg Donnie to do something to make them all female. No more male children for her!

((Mmm, poop. I think my muse for this banter may have died. xD D'you think it would be okay to close it? Especially with the oh-god-pregnant banter going.))
