This happens several years in the past, before Alure was part of Roxanne's gang, back when she was in her mid-teens. It gives a bit of her back story and Goly's as well. She knew that she was different, had known since she was much much younger, but she could never put a paw on the reason for her oddness. She had feelings, feelings that her parents told her she shouldn't be having. She was destined to live a life of science, one that felt completely at odds with these strange feelings. She let out a deep sigh, watching out the window of the room her parents provided her. She didn't feel like she lived there, not really, she was far to different from the rest of her family. There had to be some way to figure out these feelings, something she could do, something she could read, someone she could talk to even, but as of yet, nothing had surfaced. She felt like everything was making her crazy, which that in and of itself was interesting. Insanity and craziness was something she was highly interested in, but when it was her that had to deal with it, it just wasn't as fun. The tingling started again, running the length of her body. It was like an ache that she just couldn't get rid of, almost a yearning, but for what she didn't know. She had tried to talk to her mother about it, but the look on her face alone stopped the conversation almost before it had begun. It would seem that her mother had no time for the nonsense of a teenager, no matter that she was her daughter. She realized that the fact that she was an eight and her mother was only a six was also a problem. Her father was a nine, but he had left before she had been born. The fact that she was a higher rank than her mother, seemed to piss the woman off more than a little. Being an only child just made it worse. Another sigh left her lips as she continued to watch out the window, wishing that there was some way to escape, to get away and maybe eventually find out what it was that her body was craving. The only thing she could think to do now was go to bed, so that was what she did. Sleep would take care of these 'feelings', it was the only thing that did.

When she woke up the next morning, she wasn't feeling much better, which was very strange. Usually, after a good nights sleep, the strange cravings would be gone, but not this time. This time, they were stronger than ever. She made up her mind right then and there that she had to leave, had to get away from what her mother called home and find someone that could help her, if there was anyone out there that could.
Her mother wasn't awake yet, so she had to be quite when she left. Not that her mother would really miss her, but she just didn't want to deal with her right now, there were more important things on her mind right now and dealing with her mother was just going to piss her off, something that just made the feelings stronger.
She slunk out the front door with out a sound, breathing a sigh of relief as the door closed behind her. Now what? She really hadn't thought past getting out of the house, and had no idea where to go. The sun was barely up so she could see much past the yard. Her mother's house was situated on the outskirts of Corvistowne, so there were no neighbors around and the hub of the town was a few miles away. Maybe the walk would help her think of somewhere to go.
She walked and walked and walked. She didn't go into town very often, and because of that, she didn't know anyone there. What was she going to do once she got there? Who was she going to talk to? She would just have to figure that out when the time came. For now, she was just going to walk. Maybe the time it took to get to town would help settle the feelings and tingles running through her body.

A night well spent, of course every night spent in the arms of a beautiful woman was a good one. There was smile on the face of the feline, a big grin that he just couldn't clear away, not that he wanted to in all honesty. He had even made a little money at it, something he wasn't ashamed of, a guy had to make a living after all, why not make it doing something fun that you were good at. He could hear the faint tinkle of the coins together and against the stone he carried with him in the pouch attached to one of the ends of his tail. The female had rather enjoyed that little mutation, rather well if his memory served right. Ah yes, tricks of the trade, what wonderful things. What he hadn't been able to figure out was why the lady had wanted to go so far from town, and in the middle of the woods of all places. He wasn't even sure if he was actually in Corvistowne anymore. He had come to call it home ever since he had arrived a few years before. There was no place on the Range for him, at least that was what his family had said when they found out what his chosen profession was going to be. They had not been pleased, but they really hadn't expected much out of him to begin with, being nothing but a four and all. Once he cleared the woods and was out in the open once more, he took the time to take in his surroundings. The sun was just beginning to rise, that put another smile on his face. It had obviously been a long night. He sat down, leaning against one of the trees to rest for a moment. His time in the woods had been rather tiring after all. After resting for a few moments, he noticed another traveler on the road, heading in his direction. Maybe he would have a bit of company on his way into town, that is if this person was up for some company, and didn't mind his low rank and the fact that his fur was covered in leaves and twigs.

She was only half way to town, and not pleased about it. She was already tired and wishing she had gotten something to eat before she left. She obviously had other things on her mind at the time, food not being one of them. She would just have to remedy that when she did get to town She stopped dead in her tracks. . .she hadn't thought to bring any money either. She could always go back home and get some, but she really didn't plan on going back there. . .ever, so that was out of the question.
Dammit. That was pretty stupid. She didn't feel stupid talking to herself, she had heard it was pretty common among the scientist, but she really didn't know, since her mother was really the only other one she had been around for any length of time. Her mother talked to herself, but she had always thought that was just a bit of insanity, if only she would have had the patience to study her mother, that would have given her something to keep her mind off of. . .other things.
Well, so far, this adventure was proving to be more trouble than it was worth.

Well, now this was interesting. A pretty little lady stopping right in front of him, it was almost too good to be true. Apparently women were gonna rain down on him today. She had yet to notice him, and he debated on letting it stay that way, but if he did that, then the day wouldn't get even more interesting. What was a boy to do? Why, a boy should just scare the living daylights out of the pretty lady. After all, if there was anything he enjoyed more than sex, it was a good trick.
Since her back was to him, and he was pretty sure that she wouldn't hear him coming since she was busy talking to herself, he moved away from the tree and stepped lightly up behind her, sitting and canting his head to the side. A smile split his face as he contemplated what exactly to do with this little rattie. Why not just go with the old tried and true. Boo He didn't yell it, he found that it was more effective if he said it quietly, a whisper can be just as frightening as a yell after all.

She definatly didn't him walking up behind her, too lost in her own thoughts to even think that someone else could be out and about this early in the morning. It just blew her mind that she didn't think to bring any money with her at least. How was she going to survive with no way to pay her way?
When she heard the whisper behind her, she let out the loudest scream she could. Not on purpose mind you, she was just that shocked. She jumped and spun around, managing to jump right on top of the source of her fright. That just made matters worse, she was far too frightened to even notice that whatever or whoever it was was solid and not some sort of specter. When she realized that she was on top of 'something', she jumped away as fast as she could. Her heart was pounding in her chest and it took her another minute to realize that whatever it was was laughing at her. That was just rude.
What the hell do you think you are doing? Now she was just pissed, fear was no longer a factor.

Apparently fun and games time was over. Such a shame, no more fun to be had, at least for the time being. Aww, no, no need to be all pissy. It was just a bit of fun. Or is that something that you don't like. I have heard that most of you science types aren't ones for fun. . .well, that can't be true after the fun I had last night. Most of that conversation was meant to go on in his head, but he didn't seem to be capable of keeping his mouth shut for it so everything just kinda spilled out all at once. He sat up, he had been rolling around in the dust road, consumed with laughter as he had been, but now he thought it was time to get a bit serious. The little femme did not seem amused at all.
He coughed a few times to clear that last of the laughter from his throat. Sorry, I guess. He only half meant his apology, but she didn't know that, or did she? Hard telling, he wasn't one to read reactions on people, he was a bit dense in that area.

In her life, she had had little interaction with anyone let alone a male. She really didn't know how to react to him, but he had pissed her off, so she went with that for the time being. I don't care how sorry you say you are, you have no right to just popping out and scaring people. How is that funny? She sat down, right in the middle of the road, the anger clear on her face. It's just. . .well, it's just stupid Her anger, no matter how strong it had been, was fading fast. He was a handsome fellow. . .wait, what was she thinking, she was supposed to be pissed at him, not thinking how cute he was.
Once she realized that she was half way attracted to his looks, she felt a tightening low in her body. Something she was used to, but far from pleased that it was happening now of all times. She growled, low in her throat, trying to push the unwanted feelings away, but having little to no luck.

Well, apologizing obviously wasn't going to work. He was out of options apparently. Maybe he should just go on his way and forget about company on his way back to town. He was starting to get a bit tired anyway. I was just trying to have a bit of fun, I didn't realize that you were going to be so uptight. So sorry for the inconvenience. He rolled his eyes and started to walk in the direction of town, then he thought he heard a growl coming from the females direction.
He stopped and turned to look back at her, she seemed. . .well a bit uncomfortable in her own skin. Once he took the time to actually get a really good look at her, he noticed her rank. Great, pissing off someone who's rank was way higher than his. Just what he needed. He also noticed that she appeared rather young. Not really child young but a bit younger than he was. No matter, now he was just curious as to why she was so uncomfortable.
Why don't we start over. I promise not to jump out and scare you anymore. I'm Golhyrr, but just about everyone calls me Goly. Maybe his introduction of himself would help smooth things over.

The little rat could really care less who he was, she was still pissed, but her manners won the battle. WEll, I cannot say that it is a pleasure to meet you, because it certianly is not. She moved a ew steps away, making it look like she was simply going to walk away without intoroducing herself. She did continue to walk, but called back over her shoulder. My name is Alure d'Ssinssrigg. SHe left it at that and continued to walk, deciding that the best thing to do was leave Goly in her dust and head into town. She had too many things to worry about, and did not want to add anything else to that list. As she walked, she was sure that she heard a faint laugh behind her. She didn't turn around to check, she really didn't want to know at this point.
